I am now using a competant contractor to correct the shoddy work done by Lang Kerr Construction.
Description of Work: I purchased a home built by Lang Kerr in the Woodcroft subdivision in Durham, NC. I have had nothing but trouble with structural issues. During a kitchen remodel that is occuring now with a competant contractor, it was discovered the main beam supporting my second floor was built with scrap wood and plywood...with many gaps between the scraps used. The house did not have sufficient support under the first floor causing the entire first floor to sag. The pipes bringing water from the street to the house were also made with scrap pipe, at odd angles, and not deep enough in the ground. This erupted into a geyser in my front yard. For some unknown reason, I have 2 subfloors in the second floor. AND the plumbing goes between the subfloors! I am certain this is not code in Durham County! My advise: sterr clear of this builder unless you want to spend a great deal of money to correct his shoddy work.
