Glass Doctor of Raleigh

When initally called they wer very prompt in coming out and able to pinpoint issue. It took a long time for the four hinges to arrive because according to them , it was place with another order that was back ordered. I called after one week after order was placed (on a Friday) and was told I would be called back that afternoon with an update. No call back -so I called on the following Tuesday and was then told about the back ordered item holdup. Very apologetic . Date was set for installation and they arrived on time and the job was done in 20 minutes -\. But because it took two men to do the charge was for 2 men ,\ one hour rate of $210.00. I think this was excessive cost for a very simple job.

So the outside pane of glass was broken on the upper sash of one of my windows. Glass Doctor came out and took a measurement (left me a can of window cleaner too, that was a nice gift) and called me back with an cost to fix. I ordered the window and they got in the order quickly and were able to get it replaced quickly. The guy that did the work, Jose, was professional and didn't waste any time getting the repair done. This is a house that I'm getting ready to market so I needed a something quick but done right and Glass Doctor did both.

I was in town for just a short time and needed a screen made quickly. Everyone told me that they don't stock screens, and my friends told me that they had to order screens and it took 2 weeks. I found Glass Doctor on Angies List. I called that morning, went to their location on Triangle Dr., and they made it for me on the spot. I was out of there with a new screen in less than 1 hour. They were so fast an efficient.

I called & described how the glass was damaged. They listened attentively and suggested I bring the piece in for them to inspect. They said they thought they could do the repair, noted that the glass could not be reheated, said they would try an adhesive and would need to keep the piece for a few days to be sure the repair would hold, They invited me into their work space so I could see the care they took in wrapping the piece. They stated they had not previously seen the level of artistry in this piece and were very interested and excited to do the repair. Within 2 days I received a call saying the repair was done. When I saw it I was delighted and continue to be very pleased that the repair is nearly invisible. I highly recommend Glass Doctor of Raleigh.

The cost was $160 for the glass top furniture and $1600 for the shower enclosure. This was all with coupons from Angie's List! Their pricing is good. They give you a prequote so you have a full understanding. Their price comparison is top notch. They are timely. It was all done in maybe a week and a half. Their people are professional.

Glass Dr was quick to reply to my request for quotes for OEM and for OEM-quality windshield replacement for a 2013 sedan. They were unable to locate an OEM-quality replacement so they quoted OEM only, at a price that was at least 22% to 25% (depending on where the work was to be done) higher than a competitor who was suggested by my car dealer. Although Donna was very responsive, courteous, and professional on the phone, Glass Doctor of Raleigh pricing was totally uncompetitive.

Donna was excellent in providing all the details about the glass, the process, and asking for the needed information so she could order the correct replacement. She scheduled the replacement time and was very pleasant to work with. She made the process an easy experience. The technicians carefully made sure they had the correct replacement, completed the replacement, and then fully explained how I could insure that the seal remained intact. They were efficient and thoughtful. I went to the location for the work, and it's a friendly place to wait for the work to be done. They were on time and completed the work as I was told it would be. I found them on Angie's List. I left the frame there for them to put mirrors in, so yes I went to see what would be and decided to go ahead and let them do the work. He measured and put old window frames. He used the mirror and he measured it and gave me a quote. He explained to me why he was using the thickness of mirror that he was going to need. I was pleased with the price and the way they were treating me as a client. I didn't have to wait long and I didn't' choose to be waited on and it didn't take long to get the quote.

The estimate was quick and easy and the associate was very honest to not recommend someone do the work that we can do ourselves.

At first I was very impressed with their willingness to meet their competitors prices. My best price was from SOS Auto Glass and their representative, after a much higher initial quote met the price quoted by SOS. However they asked me to come in to their store to get that price and have it done there which was no problem as I am only about 5 minutes away from them. However this turned out to be a real problem as when I showed up for my 2 o'clock appointment they weren't ready for me. A rep came out from the back and said his "technician" was running late. He said it would be about 10 minutes. I was resigned to wait for that long. Mind you the waiting room is a small like 8 by 10 room with very uncomfortable chairs. I started thinking that if they took much longer I wasn't going to stay. The process takes about 1-1.5 hours so adding that to the wait for them to actually get started wasn't looking like something I was willing to do. Especially in such an uncomfortable waiting area. 10 minutes went by no "technician"...then 20...then 25. Still no "technician" to be found. I left. I came home and called SOS. He's out here now knocking the job out. He was right on time and I'm in my house relaxing.

The Glass Doctor people were friendly and good. Appointment scheduling was easy and on time. I was a bit nervous because I had to replace a windshield on an almost new car, so I used Glass Doctor because they could provide OEM glass. The install went great and when I thought I was experiencing a problem they were very quick to check it out. Turned out not to be a problem at all but they explained it very well and took the time to immediately check it out. I have used other providers before, but unlike Safelite who makes their own glass Glass Doctor can get you the same brand the manufacturers install.

Very responsive, prompt and professional throughout the process. Table tops were difficult to fit and they took the extra time to make sure they were perfect. Completely satisfied and would use them again.

I brought one of the remaining pieces of glass and they matched it perfectly so that I was able to bring the pieces home the same day and repair the bookcase.

They do a really good job. They take their time. i will definitely use them in the future.

Our lawn service had accidentally kicked a rock into one of our patio windows, causing it to crack and shatter. I called Glass Doctor, and they quickly sent a technician to assess the window. Th technician fixed it within a day but when they were done, they noted that the new glass panel was cracked (I had not even noted it). They actually then re-did the entire job, free of charge, once a new glass panel arrived. I was very impressed by the attention to detail. While I hope I never have another broken window, if I do I will call Glass Doctor as my first choice.

I needed new seals for my shower door. I went to the store thinking I would get a whole new door assembly but they advised me that it was not needed for my type of shower. In the end got just the seals. I am very happy with the results. Clean and prompt.

They were on time and professional. for the car windshield. We had to wait a week or so for the coffee table glass, but no longer than they estimated.

It was basically good service; professional, courteous; the man who came to do the actual work explained what needed to be done and the time that it would take.

Very positive experience. Everyone I spoke to was friendly, courteous and professional. The two workers were young but obviously experienced and went efficiently about their, completing it neatly in the estimated work time, even helped me move back a small couch.

I emailed the company to get a quote and had an email back with pricing within 2-days. Because I provided detailed drawings and measurements via email, they were able to price the job via email. After giving them the go ahead, their installer came out to take measurements and make shop drawings for the order. About a week or so later, the installed the shower. Not only was all of the company's staff professional and responsive, but their pricing was competitive. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of customer service and follow-up. The shower looks and works great.

They did an excellent job. They used to be called Triangle. I had used them previously to replace a car windshield. They were reliable. They did the job properly. It was pretty straightforward. I could have gotten a lower price somewhere else but they had what I was after.

Got phone estimate and at their recommendation to save substantial money I took patio table to the shop and they replaced glass and installed it for me. Very professional and timely in return calls and in calling to report when the table was ready for pick-up.

I have used them a couple times to fix broken windows. Each time they have been very responsive and reasonable.

Overall I feel that Glass Dr means well but we had the bad luck of getting unqualified people from their company to do work in our house. Little things like not taking your work boots off before walking on a white carpet to not measuring the windows correctly to butchering up the interior molding were all red flags for us. We are very accommodating in general as we allowed this to continue from November until March but finally had to bail on them. This stuff is simply not rocket science and I will end up installing the windows myself next time.

The Glass Doctor did a wonderful job replacing the glass in these drafty windows. The workers were friendly and very contentious in their work. The drafts are a thing of the past and I felt the cost was reasonable for the job. I would refer friends to this company with confidence.
