They were fast and fair. They worked me right in. They explained the problem to me and told me it would take a while because they had to wait for the part. They finished the job after they closed. They are always great. I recommend them anytime I can.

This review is not meant to trash Brakes Plus, just to report what seems to be the rare bad overall experience with the company.
Brakes Plus was our trusted car mechanic service for many years. Family business, good people, decent prices, great quality, feeling like you are dealing with friends - every aspect of a positive working relationship. Several years ago, the owner missed months of time in the shop due to some sort of medical issue. Our more negative experiences began during this time. Prices seemed higher, the need for the work seemed slightly more questionable. Still very friendly but something was and quot;offand quot;. It is possible this could just be our perspective and not what was really happening but, for all of us, perspective rules the day. Moving forward, we had a few sub-par experiences, not awful, but not up to previous levels. Our trust in Brakes Plus began to drop, this to the point of beginning to take our vehicles to other shops about 50% of the time they needed work. However, we wanted to stay with Brakes Plus, so did keep coming back. We did have a particularly poor headlight restoration experience that cost more than what other places charge, looked blurry even after having been done twice, and had to be done a third time by another shop - for less money and with near-perfect results. Less money is great but it was money we should not have had to spend. The final straw occurred when we took one of our vehicles in for an annual inspection and were told it failed inspection and needed over $1,000 in work to repair leaking transmission fluid. We took the car home. No signs of a leak on the bottom of the vehicle. No drips (old or new) on the garage floor. We talked to people we knew who did all the work on their cars. We then took the vehicle to an official state inspection station, told them what we had been told, and asked them to find a leak. They spent an hour going over the car with a fine tooth comb and a very bright light. No leak, no problems, nothing even indicating a problem might be about to begin. The vehicle passed inspection. Unfortunately, we were left feeling we had been scammed by Brakes Plus. Either the problem they found was so tiny that a crew specifically searching for it could not find it or there was no problem to begin with or the Brakes Plus mechanic found something that was not a leak but thought it was. Whatever the case, Brakes Plus told us we had to pay over $1,000 in order for the vehicle to pass inspection when it did not need the work. That was the last time we used Brakes Plus.

I had some vibration and new it was from one of the tires. They balanced all four and rotated them while they were off. It took care of the vibration. So many places do not know how to balance tires and I'm talking about those places who all they do is tires. Brakes Plus got it right on the first time and I had a smooth road trip over the July 4th holiday.

The work started on time. There was a mix up with the type of spark plug ordered and they had to get the correct ones brought over so that took some extra time. The Saturday hours are convenient. The place is clean and neat.
I think with the exception of the brake services, they are the same if not higher than going straight to the dealer. Typically you seek out individual repair shops because they can save money over the dealer, but I realized after the fact that I would have saved $100 by going to the dealer with this vehicle for the tune-up. I have two cars so every penny helps.

The people at Brakes Plus are great. My automatic window mechanism failed when I tried to roll the window down. Our family was in the middle of preparing for a funeral, so it was an especially bad time for this to happen. I called them, explained the circumstances and asked if they could help. Brakes Plus located a new part, worked us in their very busy schedule and took care of repairing the window promptly and professionally.

These guys have done a great deal of work on all 3 of my vehicles. They have been very professional and courteous every time I interact with them. I've heard them turn down thousands of dollars of billable work in the best interest of the customer- where else are you going to find that? I have and will continue to use these guys well into the future. I own a business as well and they will service all of my business vehicles moving forward. Just give these guys a call and you'll see for yourself..

My son took his car to another place and it did not start again after 3 days. They checked out the car for about 45 minutes and did not find anything wrong with it. He gave my son suggestions on what to do, especially when starting the car. He did not charge us for the time. We were very impressed and would definitely go back there again.

Assessed brake condition. Informed me rotors didn't need cutting--just needed front brake pads. Squeezed me in on a busy Saturday. Professional and personable. Overall a very pleasant experience.

Brakes Plus did an excellent job with brake service on my wife's 2010 Subaru Outback. They were on time, provided a quick inspection and estimate and then quickly serviced the vehicle. All this and wifi while I'm waiting. I'll be back.

I was very pleased with the prompness of the service and the good information he offered about other problems I might want to get fixed on the car; he wasn't at all pushy about getting me to having them fixed that day, and helped lay out a timeline for each issue--i.e., how long I could expect to go without getting each one fixed. Very pleasant, professional, and straightforward.

We LOVE the people at Brakes Plus! They are honest, fast, and always extremely nice. Most of the time I can take the car in the same day. We moved last year, and still drive to cary to Brakes Plus for our service, even though there are many many shops closer to us.

We decided to try this shop since it is closer to our house and we have been pleasantly surprised. You can tell that they work hard on customer service. They even offered to take my son home once he dropped the car off (we live very close by). They were very careful about explaining the work to be done and did great job with the truck. Everyone was very pleasant and courteous. I will be coming back to this location. They seem to do a lot more than just Brake jobs. I guess that's were the "plus" comes from in the title.

Several hours after vehicle was dropped off for new brakes, they called me to say that my radiator was leaking then asked if I wanted a new one installed. I told them I was very surprised since I always keep a close watch on how my vehicle is running and had not noticed anything wrong. However, I asked how much it would cost just in case I had not noticed it leaking. They quoted a cost of over $800 for both repairs. After thinking it over I called the next day to tell them to install the brakes and I would take care of the radiator later. After almost two weeks of driving and checking for evidence of a coolant leak,I have not found any evidence of a leak: not on my motor, not on the driveway, not from a hose, not a drop anywhere. The temperature indicator has not shown any rise in the temperature and the coolant level has not decreased. The brakes seem to be okay, but the brake warning light(which had been on for along time)is still on.I thought that with new brakes it would go out. They did not mention it or address why it is still on although I mentioned it when making the appointment. I had to clean grease from steering wheel.

Took car in Monday morning. Was called that afternoon and authorized repairs. Finished at noon Tuesday. Car was clean (no hand prints on steering wheel, etc.).
