BELL'S CARPET

The salaesperson was excellent in helping us choose the quality of carpet to fit our needs. She came out and measured the rooms. She was excellent on followup. The installation crew was tops, extrememly professional and skilled. They moved some very difficult furniture. They pointed out a vent problem that was uncovered during installation and helped me correct it.

Bell's went beyond the norm in making a deadline for the installation of our den carpet. They searched for a color/texture we could use that was available within our time frame. They worked our installation into their schedule and installers appeared on time, removed the old carpet and did an excellent installation job. We would certainly use them again and would recommend Bell's for their professionalism and quality of carpet.

They were very knowledgeable, polite and professional but it was just that it was too expensive.

We stopped into Bell's and the salesperson pointed us towards the smart strand carpeting that was on special. It wasn't quite the color I was hoping, but for the price difference, I really had to make the concession and go with a slightly lighter color. We paid 50% down to reserve for our family room carpet. About a week and a half later the carpeting was installed and the old carpet removed. The color ended up looking great and the padding and feel is fantastic. We are definitely considering going back to do a few more rooms because it looks far better than we had expected. I highly recommend them.

The quality of the carpet is excellent and the price was okay. The installation was poor. My downstairs, which by other estimates should have been three pieces of carpet and one seam, ended up seven pieces. One or two of the largest pieces of carpet were cut short at the store. They do not number the pre-cut pieces at the store and it looked like the installers were confused.

Excellently. The quality is superb. They got the work done early. The price was competitive.

Mike, the installer, was fabulous! My stairs include some tricky rounded risers, which he covered perfectly. He took so much care in installing the carpet, and in cleaning up afterwards--I am thrilled! Could not have been a better experience. Ann in Raleigh

My experience with them was excellent. They have quality products and provide quality service.

We went to the showroom and received an estimate for installation of new flooring. We were looking at their hardwoods and laminates. They were very helpful and gave us good information. Ultimately, it was just too expensive, so we decided to purchase hardwood flooring online and install ourselves to save money. I plan on going back to Bell's in the future when we need new carpet in our home.

They are very good people, and they did a very nice job.

I called Bell's Carpet and asked Jerry to come out and give me an estimate on an office condo we're renovating. He was there on the scheduled date right on time. Jerry was knowledgeable and let me know the options I had and helped me narrow down choices. He followed up on the estimate and was easy to talk to - no high pressure sales pitches or trying to upsell. He was honestly looking to provide the right product at the right price. We ended up going with a company we had used before as they had also quoted the job and were a little less expensive, but if I didn't already have a company that I was comfortable with, I would have certainly gone with Bell's. If you're looking for a good carpet company, I think you'll be very happy with Bell's.

We closed on our new home and had seven days to completely paint and recarpet the entire interior. I met with Jerry Martin and discussed our tight timeline, juggling their installation schedule with the painting and repairs needed. From my showroom visit to a call the day before installation to check in, Jerry was a pleasure to work with. He is very knowledgable and took a genuine interest in our needs. I would recommend Bell's Carpets to others and certainly use them again.

I highly recommend Bell's Carpet. We had the carpet in our family room, 2nd floor and 2 staircases replaced. This job involved a bit more coordination than the average because we were trying to get all renovations (tile, painting etc) done on our new home before we moved in. Jerry was our salesman and he was excellent. He has a great eye for carpet and spent ample time trying to help us find the best product for our home. He allowed us to check out lots of full sized samples as we were interested in buying a patterned carpet for the stairs in our foyer area. We were never pushed to make a decision quickly. He truly made us feel like we were his only clients. The carpet we wound up with was terrific quality. The installers were professional, friendly and neat. Go with Bell's, you won't be disappointed.

They were excellent and they did a great job. It was a fair price and they came out exactly when they said they were going to. They did exactly what they said they were going to do. They went kind of above and beyond making sure that everything was right and the painted all the trim. They left place all clean.

Easy... our salewoman was pleasant and informative... not pushy. She steered us towards what we requested and specifically to the best options on price vs. performance. The delivery was quick, efficient and we couldn't be happier.

My wife and I visited Bell's to explore our flooring options. We plan to carpet our entire upsairs and add hardwood floors to our entire first floor. The salesman at Bell's was very knowledgable. He showed us a number of options and listened to what we liked and disliked. He took the time to coach us on our flooring selection process. We asked that he come to our home, measure our home for flooring and provide a quote. Ultimately the quote he worked up proved to be a little more expensive that the option we found else where. I parted ways with Bell's thinking positively about them and especially positively about their professional sales rep.

We searched several different places and they seemed to be the best, so we went back to them. They did a fine job. The work is still in place, with no complaints. They did everything I asked them to do and cleaned up very well at the end.

Brenda did a great job of helping us pick a carpet that would best suit our needs and came to the house to measure the job. She took the time to discuss any concerns or problem spots that we had and was willing to work with us to split the job across two different weekends so that we could clear the rooms one at a time. The crew that came both times was extremely professional and made sure to discuss how we wanted the carpet laid on the exposed part of the stairway before they proceeded. The work was beautiful - you can't see any of the seams. We have already recommended them to friends of ours and would definitely use them again.

We chose Bell's because of the other Angie's List reports. From the beginning, in choosing the colors and styles they were extremely helpful. We had two different crews to install the different flooring. They came when they said they would, and were very professional. Everything was cleaned up after they left, and all old flooring was removed. Very pleased with the way our new floors look.

We solicited a carpet and installation estimate from Bell's based on Angie's List recommendations. We visited their showroom and met with a salesperson on Saturday. We told the sales person what we were looking for and he showed us what fit the carpet style and texture we described. He gave us a full written estimate of the carpet with installation including moving furniture, rip-out and disposal. We took three samples home with us to be returned the following Monday. On Monday morning when we returned the samples a different sales person asked us if we were ready to place an order. We declined based on the price of the carpet when compared to a (very similar) carpet of the same manufacturer, fiber and style from a competitor. The manager was called over to talk with us about the price, when he looked at the estimate he asked how much the other price was so we told him. He then retorted that the price we had been given was not the same carpet and that nobody would sell that type carpet at that price. He was almost yelling at us and became very agitated. We told him the carpet had a different name but the materials, style, color and manufacturer was the same. He scribbled something on our estimate where we took the opportunity to head for the front door. We have purchased the carpet from another dealer not on Angie's List at the price we had been quoted that was much lower than Bell's. If the carpet we are getting is not exactly the same as what Bell's had quoted us at a much higher price per square foot, it's so close we can't tell the difference. Bell's doesn't like to loose apparently and the manager's demeanor was completely unprofessional.

Bell's Carpet came over to my home and measured for a wall-to-wall replacement job. After taking measurements, we visited their showroom to look at carpets. They turned us on to Smartstrand carpeting, which is partially constructed from renewable resources and is highly cleanable. The product is very good and priced well. They also helped us pick sealed padding, which helps to keep stains from pooling below the carpet. They gave us a discount for being Angie's List customers. They let us take samples home so that we could decide on the type and color of carpet we wanted to purchase. After selecting the carpet we wanted, we were put on the schedule four weeks out. They sent us information on how to prepare the house for the installers, which was helpful. There was an additional delay in procuring the product, but we weren't on a tight schedule, so it didn't bother us. What did bother us is that Cell's Carpet called us on Friday and told us they'd be there at 9:00 am the following Monday. The following Monday at 9:30, the installers weren't at our house. I called the store to find out that we had actually been scheduled for that afternoon, but they couldn't tell me what time. I had to go to work, so I told them not to show up until the morning. To fix this oversight, they were able to add an installer to their team to finish the job in two days instead of the two-and-a-half that they originally planned for. The installers showed up on time the next day and they started working. The only other complaint I have is a mild one. I had moved a bunch of stuff off of the carpeted area to a hardwood floor section next to my stairs. In the process of replacing the carpet on the stairs, lots of debris from the carpet ended up on my belongings. Had I known that would have happened, I would have put a drop cloth on top. The installers were indeed able to finish the job on time. I walked through the house when they were done, and it looked like they did a thorough job. I didn't see any damage to my furniture or baseboard molding. Once we vacuumed the entire house, you couldn't even tell they had been there, except for the new carpet. The installers left two small rolls of carpet, which might be useful in the future.

Selected carpet. Fred came within two days to measure and gave me the cost. The carpet came in 3 weeks later and installed. The men were very courteous and efficient. They used old carpet from bedroom and installed it on stairs going up to bonus room. They cleaned up thoroughly and I would definitely use them again. The furniture was moved and put back in the same order it was. We were must pleased with the entire experience.
