Successful (ultimately); took several visits by technician(s), including senior representatives, to finally isolate apparent causes of system malfunction -- full disclosure: we purchased an annual whole-house (HVAC, plumbing, electrical) scheduled maintenance plan from them at the beginning of this process, but would like to think they'd be as responsive to every customer.

The plumber did an excellent job, and was very professional, and courteous. I thought the price was a little high. They don't include the ~$80 trip fee in with any of the work they do. Other plumbing companies would apply that to a portion of the first hour worked. So ~$250 to unclog a toilet seemed high to me (as a reference, last year I paid $300 to another plumbing company to install a brand new toilet. Now, I went out and bought the toilet, so it was there waiting for the plumber, but still!). I am happy with the quality of work and I'd use them again, but I would make sure to have a clear expectation of work done and price.

Conor did a great job with fixing my toilet! When ordering the service, the associate (Kim) who helped me on the phone was extremely nice and helped me get a plumber dispatched ASAP. The Plumber, Conor, called ahead to confirm the time and location, and was even able to arrive early which worked in my favor! Once at my house, I received high quality work for a reasonable price, and Conor was careful to ensure my house looked exactly like it did when he walked in - he even put on booties in order to avoid tracking shoe debris. OVERALL - I'd highly recommend this company to anybody in the Raleigh area!

Water heater flush went well. Had the plumber inspect and give me an estimate on repairs. Got an estimate to change out two different tub spout diverters, and change cartridge in two faucets, also to change overflow hose on water heater. I was a little shocked with the estimates, because they seemed very high, so I got another estimate. Rapid Repairs estimate for the tub spout diverters was for $945.00 and I had to supply the materials. Another plumber gave me an estimate for approximately $300.00 and they supplied the spouts. Needless to say, I won't be calling them back, because I can't afford them. I believe Rapid Repair needs to take a look at their prices if they want to stay competitive.

Crew was on time and work efficiently. A member of the crew was assigned to explain how to operated the system. He was thorough and made sure all questions were answered and said to call in if I had questions at a later time. Very satisfied

First time using ARS. My regular service couldn't couldn't fit me in. I will call ARS first the next time. The technician did a great job. It wasn't just a simple clog. It took a lot of dirty, sweaty (and smelly) effort to find the source of the clog and fix it. A very nice guy to work with.

Excellent job, Anthony was very professional and upholds the values of ARS. He cleaned the unit, which no one else had ever done from previous companies. He cleaned debris from bottom of unit, cleaned scale from the AC fins and coils and checked all areas to ensure there was no rust or buildup on the upstairs unit or downstair unit. We hope he will be sent out if we have any other concerns.

Service rep was on time for appointment which is an A+. After performing service on unit completely cleaned the work area. Very professional. Had known for several years this unit was on it's "way out" so when he reported the issues he found (photos provided) with the cost of these repairs it was time to replace. He was able to contact the office and have a sales rep come out within an hour to discuss options of replacing. We had discussed with ARS several years earlier replacement options. Replacement was installed 2 days later. We have used ARS (formerly Metro Heat) since 1991; during summer/winter check and repairs. Highly recommend this company.

Angie's list deal $99.00 for service call plus 1 hr labor. They did a good job replace the flap on all three toilets, the handle on one, and the mechanism on the third. They were very professional and helpful about some others issues I need to look into. The only problem was they ran late due to issue with a previous job and the company did not contact me they were running late I had to contact the company when the time window passed. But I do intend to use them again for plumbing inspection.

Video of my sewer drain revealed a root ball clogging the line. The drain was blasted with a hydro auger which destroyed the problem and freed up my line once more. I was given a fair estimate of the work needed to be done to permanently resolve the issue of roots invading my sewer line.

Although the representative was nice enough. He reported that we had a leak in the evaporator coil that would require the replacement of the coil (~$4,000) which included 10 lb of R410a at $190.00 per lb. This seemed extremely pricey considering the Carrier Evap Coil could be picked up from Sears parts for $170.00 and a 25lb container of R410a can be picked up from Amazon for $155.00. So we got a second opinion from another HVAC contractor. The second contractor checked the evaporator coil THREE times for leaks and then checked the compressor for leaks as well (No Leaks on either system) Just a 10 year old system that with yearly checkups had lost some R410a, through gauge hookups and disconnects. Be very careful if you go with ARS Raleigh, get a second and third opinion.

Saw Angie's list coupon for 50 gallon hot water heater but wanted a 9 year AO Smith. They came did an estimate and was not much of a difference in price. They came on 4/11/2018 installed the hot water heater in the attic and were under staffed for the effort which required me to assist. When done I asked about how to tell from the label it was 9 year and I was told I need to buy it from AO Smith when I said we have a problem it was you need to register it. When the installer left which was so fast he left the garage door open, I called AO to find it was a 6 year. Called and complained they apologized and said the installed forgot to pick up the upgrade anode part which also come with extended warranty. On 4/13 they came installed the part same installer who slammed the door each time he came in and out, then when done said you look like a guy who likes paper work and handed me the carton anode came in with the paperwork attached. Then said, he needs to write the warranty on the tank. I know from calling that the warranty was a sticker which I found in what he handed me and said that AO requires you put this on. He took it and said I will put that on. When I went up and looked after he left I was the message on the tank. Sad part is the warranty was for 4 years, so he struggled with math as well. Maybe he should learn to like paperwork. See pick for bolded 9 and snide remark that went along with everything else including ignoring my wife when asked to stop slamming the door.

The tech was Adam Crawford. He has performed our annual heating/cooling service for our two systems several times over the years. He is neat and tidy in his work. He is knowledgeable. In fact, we request him for our service

We had a water heater replaced and ARS was excellent to work with! Tyler Clayton installed the new water heater. Tyler was on time, very efficient, cleaned up thoroughly after the installation and represented ARS & their brand extremely well! Outstanding customer service from start to finish!

Outstanding. Installation Technicians Rasheen B and Alex T were punctual, friendly, professional and well informed. They both seemed confident in their technical skills and Rasheen explained their work and the process before starting. Clear and concise communications are SO important and gave me, as the customer, confidence that they would do a good job - and by all appearances they did! I especially appreciated that a third team member/supervisor from ARS came by to check on their work before they completed the job. We are 20 year customers of ARS - we trust their well trained team members and appreciate their investment in their staff.

Adam has been here several times and is always courteous and professional with neat appearance and massive amounts of humor even after a 12 hour shift! He is an asset to ARS!

Mr. J Waterman #260, did an excellent job. He found a number of items not addressed in an earlier visit by another tech. He was courteous and informative with regard to several items we should be aware of. We would be happy to have him again.

Adam C. was my service technician today. He was awesome. Arrived on time, couldn't have been any nicer. Checked everything out and I'm good to go for the spring and summer.

I hired them using a deal on Angie's List. The plumber arrived on time and got right to work. He was very friendly. He got my garbage disposal working and my tub draining water better than ever.

The service professional, Adam Crawford, started his review immediately and without getting in our way. You could see that he knew exactly what to do. .He perfomed a complete floor by floor inspection, which included the under house basement. He then sat with us to fully explain his findings, and answered all our questions. Because of this thoroughness, we felt much easier in accepting his recommendations.
