 + -1 moreEveryone of their guys has always been on time. They call ahead to let you know they are coming, and are always courteous. They are knowledgeable and make recommendations for any upgrades. It's always been a good experience.
Description of Work: I've used these guys to conduct a bi-annual service on the A/C (in spring) and Heating (during the fall). They clean the coils, check the pressure, etc., on the A/C and clean the furnaces, check their condition and ensure everything is running correctly and safely.

 + -1 moreNot good. The price changed three times and we were able to locate a company that charged less and got a one year labor and five year parts warranty compared to a 90 day labor and one year parts warranty that ARS was offering.

 + -1 moreMy biggest problem is that I way away from home when this job needed to be performed. Mike Langdon was great to work with. I don't think I would have had such a satisfactory user experience with anyone else under the same circumstances - being out of state and unable to personally supervise the task. Mike was able to put my job in his schedule ahead of my return such that I came home to a nice, cool house on a hot & humid August day. I would not hesitate to recommend the company, nor would I hesitate to use them again. In fact, I plan to have them replace my (old) gas furnace next year, with a new, high-effeciency unit.
Description of Work: Replaced AC condenser and coil with heat pump and coil with control wiring and thermostat to convert to Dual Fuel system using existing (gas) furnace in place. Replaced 7 hard duct runs in crawl space with R-6 foil flex. Enlarged return duct to 16''.

 + -1 moreTechnician was prompt (actually arrived a little earlier than the phone representative said he would) and very polite. He took off his shoes when he came in the house. He didn't pressure me for any additional work. The service plan was actually my idea, since I had been on one before. Only negative thing I can think of is that he seemed to talk on his cell phone a lot while he was outside, but it could have been business related, I wasn't listening.
Description of Work: I recently had ARS come out for a central A/C unit that had frozen up. The technician came out, checked the system, and added some refrigerant to the system. I also signed up for the one year service plan for both of my units, and he did the maintenance work on both systems (cleaning external fins, checking/cleaning condensation lines, examining the coils, putting some sort of blue tablets in the drain pans). The one-year plan was $214 for two units, and they'll come back out in the fall/winter to check out both furnaces. Since I signed up for the plan, the diagnostic fee was dropped from $85 to $47, and the refrigerant price was dropped 15%. I don't know if I'll renew the plan next year or not, but for one year it seemed like a good idea.
