Heat pump quit working. Seemed to be trying but wasn't producing any heat. Called the company that installed it 9 years ago. They sent a tech who came by and checked it out. He came back with a whole laundry list of things that were bad. Said it was a domino effect where one item failed which caused another then another and so on. List included a contactor, dual capacitor(s), defrost board, fan motor, recovery, evacuation and refill of coolant and likely other things as well but so many things were bad he couldn't complete all the testing. The cost to that point was over $2,800. He strongly hinted there would be more after those components were replaced and the system could be tested thoroughly. Meanwhile a whole new unit would 'only' cost around $6,000. While taking some time to ponder this, found Air Experts $29 Second Opinion special on Angie's List. Best money I've ever spent in my life.They sent a tech who reached in and gave the fan a spin by hand. The unit fired up and worked perfectly. After testing the whole system, he agreed that the fan motor was failing but that was it. Everything else was fine. No burnt contactors, capacitors were capacitating, defrost board was fine, freon level was fine, etc. All we needed was a new fan motor. He came back a couple of days later, installed the new motor and the heat pump has worked perfectly ever since. I was actually considering spending the $6K for a new unit and instead got it fixed by an honest man/company for 1/10 of that.

He called in advance. cleaned burners He checked blowers, gas pressure, pressure switch, rollout switches, draft meter, heat exchange pressure, sensors, switches, drafts, heat exchanger, and capacitor. He recommended replace a part, the capacitor, due to age. He showed me a gauge that indicated capacitor was functioning poorly. He recommended replacing it to avoid and expensive repair later. I agreed. He quoted the price a of $109 and charged accordingly. He was professional. And he showed concern for floor before entering.

I called on Fri. and got an appt for the following Mon. morning. He had a cancellation so they called to ask if they could come early to which I agreed. He was very polite and pleasant and even solved a mystery for me. My house had an odor. He took a picture of mouse droppings in my attic so that solved the mystery of the odor. Would definitely recommend.

I have to give Bobby high marks! He knows his stuff and listened to what was happening and went right to work - mission accomplished very quickly

Thank you Air Experts! When we had inspections on our furnaces this fall, we were told that one of the units was in such bad condition, that it should not even be turned on! We got quotes from several local providers. It was confusing process because every provider proposed different brands and different add-ons. The representative from Air Experts presented a clear option of the best system for our current needs as well as preparing for a potential addition. Additionally, the proposed system qualified for energy rebates which others said we had not qualified for! The installation went smoothly and all minor issues were immediately addressed. We have been very pleased with the professionalism of all Air Experts people would highly recommend them to others!

Provider did not respond to call for appointment.

We wanted to have someone come out to look at and advise us on our need to whole house humidifier and had a limited schedule, which they were able to work within. Rob came out and assessed our situation and made a recommendation. They were one of multiple companies we asked out. While Rob recommended similar hardware and equipment as other vendors, we liked some of his ideas on just how to set up the system, thus saving us some money.

Technician arrived on time and performed 2 checks on our gas furnaces- one in attic and one in crawl space. This was our first time using Air Experts , after leaving another company which had serviced us for 20 + years. The tech listened patiently to me as I explained our concerns about our units and the frustration we felt with the previous company. He was very professional and seemed to understand our needs. He did not spend a lot of our time trying to upsell us to things we did not need nor want. We will use Air Experts again.

I bought a furnace check-up discount service. The technician arrived early and performed the work.

Our AC unit had stopped cooling. The technician determined that our freon was low and he added freon.

On time. Explained what he did. Tuned the system to factory spec that should help fuel efficiency.

I called them after seeing a discount on Angie's List. They were very professional and friendly on the phone. They gave me an appoiontment date within 4 days of my call. They called me just prior to the appointment to say they were on there way. They wore shoe covers to keep from tracking in dirt, they were friendly and courteous, and they proceeded to do their work. The ducts were vacuumed within an hour and they showed me the container and the dust that was removed. They even did a few monor repairs to a couple ceiling vents that were not flush with the ceiling.

Installer arrived on time and completed the job in a reasonable amount of time. The system works great! I really noticed the difference when we visited relatives out of town and was very aware of the lack of humidity in the air. Great purchase.

We purchased a $29 Heating or Cooling Diagnostic Service Call from Angie's List 'Big Deal'. We had Air Experts come out to look at our HVAC system. Our system was less than a year old, but our heating and cooling bills were higher than they should be. We wanted Air Experts to look everything over to make sure that the system was performing as it should. They were probably here 5...maybe 10 minutes. My husband said that he showed them the outdoor unit, they looked at the unit and then at our ductwork under the house and said that we needed to upgrade our ducts to newer, more insulated ducts. While this was helpful advice, that was the extent of the service provided. They did not look at anything inside our house....didn't do any troubleshooting or air measurements.....I would think that a diagnostic service call would last more than a 5-minute glance at our system. Even at $29, the price seems too steep for the service that we received.

Very well organized, these people know the animals habits well.

I purchased a Big Deal with them online. Their ad listed my area as a service area, but when I called them, they told me that they actually do not service my area.

Service was fine, our old system broke and they came out that day to fix it. Suggested we get a new unit. Came back 3 days later to install the unit. Installers were on time and very friendly.

They were on time, kept in good contact and provided a detailed explanation of what they were doing. Also offered some maintenance tips. We would use them again.

We just bought the house serviced. The technician was extremely knowledgeable and helpful to us, explaining the details of the original-to-the-house system we have. We have used Air Experts for years and will continue to do so. Would recommend them highly to anyone.

Job done professionally with no issues.

Marvin came to my home 3 times to diagnose and fix a hard to locate lingering furnace problem (the last visit was on Christmas Eve morning!). What made this problem such as challenge was that the furnace worked fine most of the time but would sporadically and inexplicably would not fire up on random cold mornings.The usual fix of flipping the circuit breaker a few times finally stopped working. It was through Marvin's conscientiousness and persistence of wanting to do a great job with pride that ultimately led to success. Upon his return to for the second visit to look at the unit, he stated he had consulted with the Trane Tech support to help diagnose the problem and thought he had it figured out (most of the problem was primarily from work done long ago by another company). After what he thought was the fix, he had to come back a 3rd time after the unit starting acting oddly with another set of problems. Promptly coming back on Christmas Eve morning, "never say die Marvin" jumped back in to additional diagnosis with another tech support source for the final fix. Marvin from Air Experts is now my go to guy for all furnace and AC service who I will ask for by name (I have a service contract with Air Experts). If you have a especially difficult to diagnose furnace problem that requires up and beyond the call of duty effort, Marvin is the guy to ask for at Air experts!
