Description of Work: With temperatures heading for 90 degrees and no air conditioning--and the weekend looming--we were very anxious to get someone to repair our AC unit. Air Experts was able to send someone out the next day, and the technician was able to do the repair in under an hour at 5:00 p.m. on a Friday. He was very professional, gave me some excellent advice about future maintenance, and left a much cooler and happier family.

I realize it's been awhile since they arrive to do the work, but I got really sick at the beginning of January that I needed medical attention until the first week of April, so I didn't have the time to deal with Air experts complaint until this email was sent now to talk about my experience. I still don't have any heat in my garage. |At the time of the first service technician that arrived before December 24 2014. I told the first technician that arrived from Air Experts that I was told by a previous technician (not with Air Experts) that ignition module was bad, but I had a way of by-passing the problem in the past to get the unit to operate until it wouldn't operated any longer. | |I showed the technician how I did it when the first air expert tech arrived and he listen to my story. he looked at the exterior of my machine and said my unit was built in 1984 and was obsolete and the whole united needed to be replaced. He tried to sell me a new unit. I told the repair person that wasn't good enough. I'm in the auto restoration business and if old cars of sixty years can be repaired, so can a heating system that has been barely been used. After first Technician left I call Air Experts and complained. | |I talked to the receptionist and asked how can someone write up an invoice and declare that parts in my unit were bad without testing unit. Air experts replied and ask me if the technician physically put his hands in machine using test instruments. I said no he did not, Air experts apologized and said the best thing they can do is give me my money back or send the service manager out to check the unit out. I gave them a second chance to send their service manager out to my place. They said they be here at 8:00 am on December 24th 2014 | |On December 24th- I heard the 2nd heating company guy ring my doorbell at 7:45 am. When I allowed him in, he worked on the machine and told me the ignition module was bad. This I already knew. He quote me a price around $673.00 to replace the module and to give the unit a tune up. I agreed to the job. He then left to get the parts from his truck. In the process of repair the technician broke my ignitor for my heating unit and said he would replace it later. He jerry rigged the ignitor with glue so it would temporarily work. After replacing the Ignition module and the unit was turned back on it had the same problem that it did before (buzz). I felt sorry for the heating guy. That Ignition module cost $500.00, but this incident wasn't my problem. | | Hours later we were both trying to figure out the machine. I'm not an expert in this area, that is why I hired him. It's Christmas eve and I still have a lot of things to do and he said there was nothing more he could do and that the office would give me my money back and that over the holidays he would a least try to find another ignitor that he broke while he was working on it. I suggested maybe there wasn't enough pressure in the propane tank which only had 15 lbs of pressure. Maybe there wasn't enough pressure to go through that heater system. He said he performed a pressure test and it was fine. He said he keep in touch, but I never got my $29.00 back or heard back from Air Experts again and have been left without heat.

Description of Work: The service provider came out and spent about 2 min looking at my cooling unit outside and declared that the compressor was bad and that it would cost over $2,000 and would only carry a 1yr warranty and my best bet would be to replace the entire unit. (which would cost me over $6,000) I then called my home warranty company and they sent out another company (Stricly Service) who diagnosed it as a bad air condensor and fixed it for less than $200. When Air Experts & Cooling called the next day to try to sell me a brand new air conditioner, I told them what happened and the manager, Harry, said they would not charge me for the service call through Angie's List because of their error and that I would have to ask for a refund through Angie's List. While I cannot dismiss such a HUGE mistake, I will say that everybody I dealt with at Air Experts & Cooling were very professional - they even reimbursed me for the service charge of the other company that I used to fix the unit.

Description of Work: They inspected A/C system for house I had under contract. It was a great price for the inspection and the technician was polite, efficient and informative. Provided exactly what I needed.

Description of Work: They identified the leak in my condensation tray for my furnace and fixed it without having to replace the tray. The technician probably could have recommended replacing the tray but felt it wasn't necessary. Saved me money and earned some points in my book.

Description of Work: Replaced my heat/ac unit. They upgraded my thermostat to dual control. Much better system than the builder put in. Extremely happy with my new unit. Patrick was very patient and explained everything to me. No surprises. Sean had my unit up and running in no time. He was wonderful as well! I really was impressed with this company.

Description of Work: Air Experts came to do a tune up on my HVAC unit. I didn't watch the technician do his job. During the months of Dec and Jan, the HVAC unit froze about four times. I shut the unit off each time and it unfroze. In Feb when the weather was in the teens, the unit froze and would not unfreeze. The temperature in the house was 50 degrees. I called Air Experts that day (Thurs) and explained the situation-that they were there before-and they told me no one could come until Monday. I called another company, Your Service Professional. Their technician, Jimmy, was here within an hour and a half. He checked the entire unit and discovered a freon leak and filled the unit with freon for $468.00. He told me that the technician from Air Experts should have found the leak and I would not have been in a house where the inside temperature was 50 degrees and the outside 19 degrees. The unit has been working well since Jimmy from Your Professional Service was here.
