Description of Work: Performed routine Spring/Summer check. Everything seemed to go fine, except that the tech failed to reinstall a couple of the unit's cover screws. Fortunately, I found them lying on the ground and was able to reinstall them myself. To Air Experts' credit, they're not the only ones I've hired that have left out some screws; most all those I've hired in the past do this. Come on, guys, to all of you in this business, just carry a supply of extra screws in case the ones you've taken out get lost in the grass. Then, before you finish the job, just make sure the unit's cover has all its screws replaced. Like I said, it's not a big deal; it's just sloppy to do otherwise, and it makes me wonder what else, under the cover, was also left unsecured. | |

Description of Work: replaced upstairs and down stairs a/c units and air handlers with a higher seer rating. It went well except they put the wrong air handler up stairs, we were suppose to get a variable speed unit and they installed on that was not variable speed. My husband checked the unit the night after they installed and discovered the incorrect one. They removed it the next day and put the correct one in. there was water damage done to the ceiling when they removed the air handler and they had a repair person come and fix that. All is well that ends well.

Description of Work: I engaged this company to give me a second opinion. The technician was punctual and professional, and confirmed the other company's diagnosis.

Description of Work: I was very impressed initially with who came out to provide the estimate but it ended up he did the work too quickly and he did not pay attention to detail. This was evident as the work order was confusing to the technicians who did the work as incorrect things were selected but the work worked to our favor in the end. Also, communication was confusing and could have been better as emails came from multiple email addresses. Lastly, the work was supposed to be completed in one day and it took two days to complete. Payment was expected at the end of the first day when work wasn't completed and per the final work order.

Description of Work: Air Experts' serviceman was very professional, checking both systems, and was able to add Freon even though they were both very old systems, low on Freon and close to needing replacement. He did recommend speaking with their sales people soon to discuss replacement, which we did later over the phone, but they were extremely understanding about us stretching the time on these units out due to other expenses, and did not come across with an intense sales pitch at that time. They did exactly the work we needed at that time, and I definitely plan to contact them again for service in the future. Great job!

Description of Work: A/C was turning off randomly. I explained the issue, and it was determined the issue was caused by some fallen insulation. Two days later the A/C stopped working again. I explained the same symptoms to my father who retired from A/C work, and he instantly identified the issue as a bad thermostat, changed it for me, and I haven't had any problems since. I didn't feel like the technician listened to me in describing the issue to properly diagnose the issue. In addition, the technician had no tools with him to be able to check other items. He was ill prepared. In addition he recommended a service checkup which I said I was interested in. He said someone would contact me to schedule the checkup, but no one ever did. If I hadn't had the Angie's List coupon that heavily discounted the diagnostic service, I would have been very upset with this service. As is, it was little money lost so I didn't follow up with the provider.
