I called Air Experts at 8:30 on a Friday morning to see about having someone come out to look at my air conditioning unit which had quit cooling the day before. I expected to have to leave a message, but was pleasantly surprised when the phone was answered. I explained the issue I was having, and was told they could probably have someone at my house between 12-2. I asked to be called before when they were on the way so I could leave work and meet them. I was called at 11:20 to say the service tech was on the way. When I arrived home at 11:45 the tech was there waiting on me. After introducing himself we walked over to look at the unit in question. Shane quickly noticed oil residue on the service valve outside the unit. After hooking up hoses and checking pressures, he informed me that I had roughly 1/2 a pound of freon in the system. The system holds 7 lbs. Shane recommended replacing the valve, recharging the system and performing a full leak check. The estimate came out to $2112. My neighbors have also had problems with these same systems, but their problems have been with the coils and were under warranty. My warranty period was over, so I was stuck. Shane recommended getting a free estimate to see what a total replacement would cost. He advised against spending the money to fix the system because the system was a cheap builder grade unit. I agreed with him, and he called the office to have a Project Manager come out for the replacement estimate. I was told to expect someone between 1-2. This was at noon. Dave arrived around 1:15 and quickly went to work. We looked over the systems outside again and I showed him what had been found earlier. Dave agreed that it was a bit ridiculous to have to potentially replace a 6 year old system and showed some sympathy towards my quandary. After a few minutes we sat down and started discussing pricing and options. Like nearly everyone, money is tight and Dave helped me out in every way he could. My old system was installed incorrectly and water was not draining out of the drain pan in the air handler correctly and had been sucked up by the fan and blow into the trunk line. Dave said he would replace the trunk line at no charge. He also upped the 1 year labor/10 year parts warranty to a 5/10 warranty at no charge. With his help we were able to get 0% financing for 36 months which will really help us out in paying this unexpected expense off. The total replacement cost came out to just under $6k. Air Experts has a super seven guarantee plan where they guarantee comfort, no frustration, low price, 30% utility savings, property protection, installation date and on time. I was really pleased with these guarantees! If the system fails in the first year and they don't get out the same day to fix it, they refund you $500!! I hope I never have to use this, but it's great having the company stand behind their product like this. They are supposed to come out early next week and install the system, which is great because it's supposed to be getting really warm next week!

My AC Units of 20+ years have finally given out. I started shopping HVAC providers. After looking at 4 companies I was had not found what I needed. I was referred to Air Experts by a friend and I could not be happier. I got the price I was looking for and the piece of mind of going with a company with a great reputation and a fantastic guarantee plan. Buying two new HVAC units is not something I looked forward to going through, but at least I know that going with Air Experts will bring the most value for the money I'm spending.One thing i appreciated is that Dave the project manager di not recommend alot of extra stuff as I know that they make many mor expensive options. I just want my home comfortable and with the comfort guarantee its on the if its not

Excellent! Dave did a great job and even came out on Saturday to give me an estimate. I really like the financing and guarantees they offered. 36 months with no interest is really attractive. Plus they will give you $500 back if they don't show up on the day promised! I highly recommend Air Experts to anyone!

As wonderful experience as one can have making this kind of home repair. It was a sweltering Spring day-May 3, 2012 and 97*! A friend had recommended AIR EXPERTS and she was spot on! They were one of four estimates I had requested that day. They (Matt) arrived on time to examine the unit. He explained the breakdown in detail, allowing me to stand beside him as he opened up the unit and showed each of the points. Matt was knowledgeable, polite, patient with questions and extremely professional. He called Dave to provide an estimate for replacing my HVAC system that had "died" after 15 years. He offered a variety of highly energy efficient options and I selected the best deal for my needs. Dave spent the most time answering questions, offered financing at competitive rates, and even loaned us an AC window unit to keep us from melting until the new system could be installed. He left my house at 11:01 PM. That was service above and beyond in my book. My install was set for the next Tuesday morning, May 8, 2012. The entire project ( removal of the old system, installation and cooling of the house) was done on time, even finishing about 1/2 hour early. AWESOME!

Upon servicing our unit, they discovered several issues and recommended not putting any money into the old unit. We agreed. Instead of fixing the old one, we decided to replace our old unit. What we really liked was they sent Dave, the Project Manager out and he did not try to sell us a bunch of stuff we did not need. Because I complained about the noise level, he informed me that the last company that replaced our system, put in a cheap package unit, when they should have replaced it with a split system and that's why we were having to replace it as soon as we were. It's obviously alot more work to go back to the old split system, but we look forward to not having the noise and the big tank-like system in our back yard. I am sure that most companies would have just replaced the package unit instead of committing to the work involved with switching the entire system around. Dave was walking a thin line between keeping the price low for my husband and yet keeping me happy by lowering the noise level of having a loud system right under my bedroom window. We especially appreciate the fact that he did not try to sell a bunch of stuff we didn't need and made the entire process relitively painless.

It was by far the best experience I have ever had with a air conditioning company and I have never felt as comfortable giving someone my money If every company treated their customers like Air Experts then Angie's List would not be necessary But they don't and that's why I felt compelled to join and let people know that there is a company they can trust to do their Hvac work and I just wish I had found them sooner and had them servicing my system all these years.

Mr. Hepmer came to the house and interviewed us to see the situation.He went about the house to see the layout and Heating/Cooling requirements necessary to do the enviroment.He inspected the ducting and the air handler to see what equipment existed and what had to be replaced. After inspection, the analysis of systems versus value began. There were many options to choose from, but a final system was put in place to be installed.In a few days, a new system will be installed and the old system will be removed.

Very satifactory, most pleased, most confident people in the business, in my opinion. Worked hard from the time they arrived at 8 AM to the job was completed. The installer from the company stayed with the job until finished. I was indeed pleased.

My husband called them, and they actually answered their phone, which was a first. They actually came out the day that we called them, which is another first. People usually don't come the same day we call. They came out and gave us a quote, and they started work about 2 weeks later. They had to come back a second day, because there was a little more work than they thought. But they stuck to their quote; they didn't change it even though they had to do more work. So we were glad about that. They came in and got started on time. It was good work, we were satisfied with it. Their price was pretty inexpensive for what we had them do. They did really good work for what they had to work with. We would use them again in the future.

They were very good. They took care of everything that they were supposed to. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future.

Estimator came in with a fair price for the equipment I had researched and did all of the load calculations to determine the size of unit(s). Installer(s) were on-time, paid attention to detail (i checked in a couple of times during the day), and cleaned up after themselves before leaving. Was a full day of installation and re-routing ductwork. Installer explained everything as he was doing it, which is a huge plus for a weekend warrior like myself to get a better understanding of things (better than HGTV!). Company provided me with all necessary paperwork pre-populated with the information for rebates and tax credits for energy efficient units. Customer service followed up about the experience and I rated them all 10s.

They are very professional. They repaired my house, and wore the suit covers. They put the waste clothes down where they were working. It is a very professional company. The workers were very nice, polite and courteous. They didn't want to disturb us with the least amount possible. Everything is holding up fine, and it is great.

Did everything that they said they would, ontime and within the price we agreed.

These guys are great! We got several estimates because we knew we were definitely going to replace the entire system which dated back to 1988. In fact, we were going to replace both systems - upstairs and downstairs - along with replacing duct work. Jeremy, our estimate contact, actually talked us out of spending more money by telling us the truth: our downstairs system was old but still in very good shape. And all of our metal duct work was still in fine working condition. We wound up just replacing the upstairs system and some soft duct work and seams. Other estimators recommended replacing everything. Plus, Jeremy was not at all a "hard sales" type of person. He answered all of our questions but did not bombard us with follow-up calls to pressure us into an installation date. The installation crew was 10 minutes early on the date of installation. They were professional yet friendly. They thoroughly cleaned up after themselves and finished the job a couple of hours earlier than estimated. I'm definitely calling Air Experts when it's time to replace our downstairs system and I intend to use them for all servicing needs.

Did no go well with the TECK. I would not use them again. I give them a C, and F for pricing.

They arrived promptly for the tune-up and the estimate. They were the second company up to bat for the estimate. I noted some of the things that the first company had said they would do, which this company did not - such as replacing the concrete pad on which the heat pump stands, and sealing the joints in the ductwork in my attic. Given the size of the unit, replacing the concrete pad was an absolute necessity, though I didn't know that at the time. The first folks measured the intake ducting, and these guys did not, though both companies measured the house itself. Both told me there was electrical wiring that needed to be replaced. Air Experts did not talk to me much about what they were seeing and planning and the other company did. This may be a style thing - but I appreciated the discussion. It is a large amount of money and I want to know what is going on. What they did do was spend a lot of time slamming the competing heat pump brand. They offered Carrier. Company #1 offered Trane. Now, that kind of thing just turns me off. If you have a valid comparison between brand A and brand B, and can support that comparison, that is one thing - but just saying negative things isn't telling me anything about the brand, it is telling me about you - and I don't like it. Their estimate was very close to the same amount as Company #1, and I ended up making my decision based not on the amount but on the impression. I hired Company #1.

It went well. They quoted me accurately on the job and scheduled it well. They got the job done as well as they could. When there were issues after the installation they were quick about addressing them. I think their price was a bit on the high side.

Used this company's services for the home inspection in December, 2010. Tech did an outstanding job, spent time reviewing results with me and discussing options for each system if we purchased the house. Gave me his phone # if I had further questions later. Subsequently spent time on the phone with me. A different tech came in February after we purchased the house and again looked at both systems. Results were slightly different but he also spent a fair amount of time reviewing results and options with me. (Never had whole-house A/C or a heat pump before so I needed a bit of help!) Great job on his part. Original appointment for the second tech was a no-show because the office had mixed up the house address. Arrival for the revised 10am-12noon window was 12:30pm. For these two items I dinged a bit on "punctuality". But the high quality of the techs is far more important so overall Air Experts gets an "A".

I emailed for an estimate for an ac/heat pump replacement and they never responded.

The sales person overall was professional and did a complete estimate.

It went great. Lyon worked with us to find a solid unit at a price that worked with our budget. Due to my cost constraints, I opted to perform the duct replacement myself. Lyon was very flexible with the schedule and they worked it around my duct replacement. His staff was clean and professional. I am very happy with the new unit. Though Britts wasn't the cheapest quote that I received, I feel that they were the best and it pays to do it right. I would definitely use Britts again.

Britt's arrived on-time and performed a thorough diagnosis. Their technician was polite, courteous, and professional. He answered all of our questions. I was very pleased with the level of service that we received.

My HVAC system was 17 years old and reaching the end of its life, and I wanted to replace it before it died. Based on a home energy audit "blower door" test from another company, I knew that in addition to a new HVAC I wanted reduce some of the duct leakage. Britt's Mechanical president Lyon Britt did the estimate himself and performed a load calculation to determine the correct size system needed (most companies who estimated this job did not want to take the time to do the calculation). The estimate was very detailed and precise, and Lyon worked with me to find an appropriate system that met my needs and budget, while still being eligible for the substantial energy efficiency tax credit. The crew from Britt's Mechanical was courteous and professional. They got the new system installed at its new location along with the new ductwork in one day, so I didn't have to spend a night without heat. Then they went through and sealed every duct in the crawlspace and attic, and the seams at every register in the house. They performed another blower door test, and measured the air leakage at each duct to verify that the work had been done properly. Finally Lyon walked me through the house again to go over all the work and make sure I was completely satisfied, and explained some further things I could do myself to reduce energy usage. The building inspector said there were no problems and that he knew this company to do good work in general. Overall I was completely satisfied, got exactly what I wanted at a fair price, and would recommend Britt's Mechanical to others without reservation.
