My relationship with this business began when I contacted Old Republic Home Protection Company to request service for my heating and A/C unit because it was not heating properly. 01/15/2008-Technician(s) "pulled heating and air conditioning coil and cleaned it". Was told before service that it would take AT LEAST 2 hours to complete task, coil would be cleaned with pressure washer and needed to be welded back into place. 01/15/2008-Technician(s) spent only an hour working, used my water faucet on the outside of my home to clean the coil and did not weld it back in place as I was told would happen. This service cost me a ridiculous $460.00=RIP OFF. 01/15/2008-Technician(s) broke the drain pan/pipe during replacement of coil and told me that they would order a new one at no charge and come to fix this. One month later I had not heard from them nor had they come to install the drain pan. When I called them to ask what was going on, the "secretary" Michelle gave me the run around and finally returned my call saying "they forgot to order it". Order was then placed and I had to call repeatedly to remind them that I needed drain pan installed for unit to work properly. I do not have a date that drain pan was installed because no invoice received, VERY unprofessional. Couple of days after drain pan installation unit began to leak water. Contacted perfect climate and spoke again with very rude, sarcastic "secretary" Michelle who again gave me the run around and my phone calls and messages were not returned. Finally had to contact Old Republic and report the problems I have had and Old Republic informed me that Perfect Climate had not reported any services to them as they should have been doing from the beginning. Old Republic got things rolling and finally Perfect Climate started to take me seriously, or so I thought. On 03/06/2008 a technician came to "fix" the drain pan/pipe. He noted on the invoice (which I had to request)"adjusted pitch on Evap. pan, added 3/4 to 1/2 reducer on drain line. System has 1/2 inch drain". After this everything seemed to work fine UNTIL 06/24/2008 when I noticed that my floor entrance to my guest bathroom was wet. Upon further investigation I found that the unit was leaking AGAIN in the same exact places. Contacted Old Republic and they said their hands were clean because my warranty had expired. Contacted Perfect Climate and the very rude secretary Michelle informed me that they would come out to look at it again but there would be a charge. I was outraged, as I had suspicions that this was there fault to begin with. I told her that I had nothing but negative experiences with Perfect Climate from the get go and instead of apologizing for this like a good customer service employee would do, she responded, "then why are you calling us back?" I then answered because this is not my fault and you guys need to clean up your mess! On 06/24/2008 I had Rusty Williamson, a technician from Blanton's heating and A/C come to service the unit. Here were his notes/comments on the invoice I was given: "water leak, found drain stopped and drain pan filled with water, drain pan not attached to evaporator correctly/spilling water on floor, return, carpet/found threads on MIP PVC broken/replaced and reattached, evaporator coil fins damaged/causing air flow restriction/may be due to removing and cleaning/hi pressure water may have damaged coil". I let the technician review the invoices I had received from Perfect Climate and he commented that when the drain pan/pipe was supposedly "adjusted" and "fixed" it was in fact NOT. In a nutshell he said that the service Perfect Climate performed did more harm than good. Tried to contact Perfect Climate numerous times to resolve this matter but phone calls/messages were not returned.

Techs from Perfect Climate came to my home 3 separate times, with each visit the problem got worse. Each time I was told some part had to be ordered. I later found out that the parts could have been purchased locally and there was no need for me to go thru the entire winter without heat. These companys are supposed to be BBB Certified, which is why I (foolishly) felt secure enough to purchase a Service Warranty. This company is not BBB certified and I wrote to them requesting that the Warranty be cancelled and my 140.00 be returned. They have not responded.
Description of Work: Company was sent to repair my heat by Frist American Home Warranty the first week of February 2009. Six weeks later another company had to be called and repaired the problem in less than 30 minutes.
