I WAS TOLD THIS WOULD SOLVE MY PROBLEM. THIS WAS DONE IN MARCH IN ADVANCE OF THE SUMMER HEAT. IT DIDN'T HELP AT ALL AND ONLY SERVED TO ADD MORE COST TO EVENTUAL RESOLUTION OF THE PROBLEM. I ASKED TO HAVE THE PROBLEM FIXED OR MY MONEY RETURNED AND NEVER GOT EITHER. I BELIEVE THAT MY COOLING PROBLEM IS RELATED TO SOMETHING ELSE ENTIRELY AND I PAID FOR SOMETHING THAT I DIDN'T NEED.
Description of Work: THE UPPER LEVEL OF OUR HOUSE IS DIFFICULT TO COOL IN THE SUMMER. I CONTACTED MTB TO ASSESS THE PROBLEM AND THEY SAID I NEEDED ZONED TEMPERATURE CONTROLS, THAT IS, TWO THERMOSTATS TO CONTROL THE AIR-FLOW AND TEMPERATURE.

WE MET WITH THE MEMBER TO ASSESS AND RUN A LOAD CALCULATION ON HIS SECOND FLOOR SYSTEM TO VERIFY PROPER EQUIPMENT NEEDED TO HEAT/COOL THE AREA. WE CONCLUDED THAT A ZONE SYSTEM WOULD BENEFIT THE DISTRIBUTION OF THE HEATING AND COOLING. HE AGREED WITH THIS AND HAD US MOVE FORWARD WITH THE INSTALLATION OF A ZONE SYSTEM. TWO MONTHS AFTER INSTALLATION WE WERE NOTIFIED OF A PROBLEM AND WE FOUND THE THERMOSTATS OFF CALIBRATION. WE REPLACED BOTH THERMOSTATS AT NO COST TO HIM. A MONTH AFTER REPLACING THE THERMOSTATS WE WERE CALLED OUT AGAIN TO RECHECK THE SYSTEM. WE FOUND THE UNCONDITIONED AREAS AND LACK OF INSULATION IN THE AREAS AFFECTING THE PROPER OPERATION OF THE THERMOSTATS. WE ADVISED HIM OF OUR FINDINGS AND NEVER HEARD FROM HIM AFTER THAT REGARDING THE COOLING OF THE SECOND FLOOR. WE WERE UNDER THE IMPRESSION THAT WE HAD MET ALL HIS EXPECTATIONS AT THIS TIME.
