 + 0 moreVent tubing itself was clean as a whistle. This is impressive given the length and turns involved. However the exhaust vent at the outside of the house was full of lint gunk. The exhaust was some 20-30' in the air and it looks like they didn't go up and after it. That said, I would still hire them again but be more clear about my expectations. Price paid is a very, very rough estimate. It was some months ago.
Description of Work: Provider cleaned a dryer vent that went ~8' vertical then ~20' horizontal.

 + -1 moreThe contractor refused to do the work due to the description in the review. This company takes advantage of homeowners. I would beware and certainly not recommend using this corporation due to their marketing and dishonesty.
Description of Work: I purchased the following deal online "$199 for 500 square feet of blown-in, environmentally safe attic insulation Installation of blown-in insulation in attics of existing homes (not new construction) Fiberglass or cellulose blown-in insulation available. Deal includes up to R38, although additional R-value available (if needed) to guarantee code compliance for additional fee". The previous sentence has two separate statements within the text. The first part states the deal includes up to R38. The second and part of the sentence states that if you need addition insulation you can purchase at an addition fee. I have 500 sq feet that I wanted R-30 to 38 on to of r-30 batt insulation that has gaps of 6-8 inches in it. The company refused to do any work. This is clearly a breach of contract. The deal is a marketing concept to get the contractor into your residence as most attics are well over 500 sq feet. The foreman provided coupon invoices to me with the work that was completed earlier that day and the final prices were all in thousands of dollars due to most dwellings being much more than 500 sq feet

 + 1 moreThey took before and after pics showing the issues and the area after they had worked on it. They explained our basement was a little larger than the deal specified; which was not an issue as far as a lot more money. AsI stated they were prompt and got down to business; we were told we had a water filter under the house when we purchased it and could never figure out where it was. My husband asked if they saw it, and they went back under the house* mind you they were already finished and ready to go* found the filter told him where it was located and took pics of it and sent it to his phone. I would use them again, most definitely.
Description of Work: Cleaned under the basement , ridding it of debris and old plastic from years ago. Spraying on the mold killing agent to rid it of mold. And laying down thick plastic layer, to keep excessive moisture from getting into the house. We did not get the mold wipe down to save money( it would have been $200. extra) but we were assured the mold was taken care of; also if you are going to sell the house you have got to get the mold wipe down.

My dryer vent goes up and out the roof, so the tech not only took the time to brush out the vent itself, but he also climbed up onto the roof to ensure the vent up top was also clear of lint. Really fantastic service, I'm very happy with the results!

 + -1 moreWhen I called, the person who answered was very helpful in explaining the cost and was able to set the appointment for the following week. On the day of the appointment, they called to ask if they could come early since they had had a cancellation. They were very prompt and courteous. They explained in detail about the cost and the extra treatments they could offer and let me decide. They did a thorough job and even swept the floors when they were finished. I would definitely hire them again.
Description of Work: Cleaned and sanitized 17 vents & 3 returns. Also cleaned dryer vent and checked blower motors. Extra treatment to kill all microbial contaminants.

 + -1 moreThe process was alright -- we selected a blue stain-- and they were prompt in completing the job. However, when Spring arrived the deck was covered in stains from the winter weather, which I could not hose off. I called them and Josh came out and said that this happened because of the number of trees around the yard and the stains were from the leaves,etc. through the winter time. At the time we selected the stain they said nothing about the lack of this stain's durability. They should have advised us to take another stain that would withstand a North Carolina winter. I asked what would be done about it. He said he would pressure wash it for $350.00. This is totally unacceptable. In looking over this company's customer reviews, so many would not re-hire. We join that group. Further, I see that they are primarily into duct cleaning and pressure washing. So --- they really are not a professional deck staining company even though their company and Angie's list puts them into that category. We made an expensive mistake hiring them to do this job.

 + -1 moreThe Big Deal was $69,00 for hauling of a TRUCKLOAD of junk, up to 900 lbs., and a crawl space inspection. They charged me a surcharge of $60.00 because the items filled more than 1/2 of a tiny trailer. The trailer held probably less than a standard pickup truck, and my husband had already disassembled and stacked everything. We didn't even need the crawl space inspection which was included in the deal. Before I purchased the Big Deal, a rep at their office told me that the company makes only about $16.00 on each deal, so I assume they charge everyone a surcharge to make more money. Notwithstanding the misrepresentation of "a truckload", the employees were on time and were pleasant.
Description of Work: They loaded onto a trailer a Little Tikes backyard play set, a metal shelf unit, and a swing and frame, and hauled it away.

 + -1 moreThe person who scheduled it made me believe that they did cleaning but the people, when they came, they don't do that- they are specialists. There was a total miscommunication. I did the two hours- I filled it up with something but it was a wholly unsatisfactory event. They could have communicated but the person who scheduled didn't know what the people who did the work did. What she said they would do was totally different from what they do. So it was a total miscommunication within their company. I will not use them again and would not recommend them. I paid for something I didn't want.
