Was disappointed to see a portable do-it-yourself type of machine used for duct cleaning. Last time I had used Sears cleaning, they had professional powerful machine installed in a van.

I have no complaints re: communication or scheduling. However, it would have been good for them to tell me what was needed in terms of what should be moved out from under where the ducts are (mine are all in the ceilings, and therefore, they needed clear floor space) before they came. The UP Sell, and why I think Angie's list "Special Deals" is almost code for "Rip off coming your way, unless you know better." While the one man was cleaning the vents, the other technician was in the attic looking at the main blower system. Sure enough, he comes down with pictures on his cell phone of a heavily dust and mold coated blower system that really needed to be cleaned. I made two mistakes. 1) I didn't go into the attic to make sure the pictures were actually of my blower, and 2) I didn't refuse the service and take the time to contact a person I know with a background in HVAC who told me how I could have save the extra 300-400 dollars and dealt with it myself. I cannot say this company is bad or performed bad service. What I would say is that these "Special Deals" are really LURES to get service providers into your home, where they can then tell you what really needs to be done for the job to be complete, resulting in a much bigger bill than what you paid for. My advice to EVERYBODY on Angie's list would be to have all companies on here to come out and give a FULL JOB ESTIMATE, so you can know what you are really going to need to pay for a complete job. The only thing SPECIAL about these DEALS is that they are surely going to cost you more than you think.

It didn't go at all. Not even a call to say we are busy.

Purchased a new dryer. Ran the dryer's recommended vent flow test. Test showed sever restriction of air flow. I live in FL and was at my second home for the holidays. Realizing I needed to have vent cleaned, but also realizing this is a holiday week, I did not think I'd find anyone as responsive as Jeremy and his team at ECS. Jeremy promised to have a team member get the job done the day I called. Team showed up and were very professional. One team member even had to go up on the roof of the 2 story TH where I live in the dark, as this is where the vent terminated. He took on this task with complete professionalism and courteousness. Bottom line, the job was completed as promised, but more importantly by a very professional team. I would not hesitate to use ECS again, nor would I hesitate to recommend the company to anyone in need of this type of service.

The leak was not a water leak, but a leak from a container on a shelf. Dave quickly diagnosed the problem.

I first called the provider about the deal and talked out what I was looking for. I was encouraged to buy the angie's list item and made the appointment. The team was prompt and responsive. When they arrived, they walked around the attic and then told me that my Angie's List purchase could not be used and I would have to pay more for the deal since it was new insulation. I had purchased another Angie's List item from the same provider, explaining again what services I needed (it was the haul junk). Again, I had to pay more for the service. Overall, I had felt confused and upsold for services when I had tried to prevent that at the beginning. I am giving a low grade for professionalism because of the actions of being upsold during the appointment and two weeks afterwards. At the time, the gentlemen were very niceTwo weeks later the provider showed up unexpectedly at my door explaining he was in the neighborhood and they had left expensive equipment in my house. Overall, I did not feel the company was professional, and am dissatisfied at the service..

Overall the job went quite smoothly. Both gentleman arrived on time and began work right away. The entire job took around 4 hours. Both individuals were polite, respectful of both myself and my home in terms of cleaning up any mess that landed on the floor during the process. They were both extremely thorough, informative when I had questions and kept me up to date throughout the procedure on current progress. Originally, I had only planned on having the vents, and returns done. However, after I was shown how dirty my air supply units were, I opted to have them cleaned and sanitized as well. I would recommend this company to others. Excellent work.

It only covered a small portion of my house. They did a great job, but I guess it was just the cost. We had a whole lot more vents. The deal did state that, but it still wasn't as much as I originally thought.

Great job. Very professional. Kept my tenant and me updated on timing and when work would be performed. He e-mailed me before and after photos once the job was complete.

These guys are better at it than I am. I've been a do it yourself for 60 years or so. I don't have the skills watching them. I had not been prepared at how quickly they do things. These guys came in and removed and cleaned air duct covers and then they had a long flexible pipe with a rotating brush on the end and they stuck those into all of the air ducts. Then, since it was a pipe, they hooked that up to a powerful vacuum and whatever residue the brush knocked loose was sucked out into the pipe. Then, as a final operation they applied a mildicide. This time I was a little better and I did some homework before and I had discovered there were different levels of mildicides. I spoke to these guys when they came out and they showed me the stuff that they used. I mentioned that maybe we should be away from the house and they said, no, that's not necessary. They took my suspicious mind longer to come up with a thought on that longer than it took them to do their work, get paid and leave. The thought I got was, I don't know what was in that jug, if it was the right one. It could have been plain water for all I know. I just can't be worried about that. When you look up stuff on the internet, half of what you get is wrong and the other half is outdated. They were quick and clean. They didn't mess up the house. The price was very good for the service.

They showed up on time. Performed their job well and were very professional.

By the time they arrived, we had staged items to be removed so that they could be taken directly out. They came in, saw what was to be removed and took it out. It went very smoothly. They were very polite, courteous, and efficient. I would definitely call them again.

The guys were very nice, professional and punctual. They were efficient, cleaned up and answered any questions I had.

They did a great job. There was no additional cost. They didn't put the things back in the garage the way that they were. The workers were fine.

Booked through AL site and was quickly contacted to schedule service. Team called 15 minutes prior to scheduled time to let me know they were on the way. Arrived a few minutes early to appointment. Both were courteous and professional. Took care both inside and outside of my house. Never rushed. After the cleaning, they re-assembled everything actually better than they found it. And they cleaned-up any escaped lint both inside and outside of the house. Highly recommend!

Liked that the technician knew his business and explained how our vents were configured due to the laundry room being on the second floor. Therefore there it costs more than we thought, but were comfortable that we were getting what we needed.

rescheduled once, came on time second time, for some reason climbed into attic and put foot through ceiling causing sheetrock damage. Repaired a week later but poor quality repair work. Would not use again.

They did a good job, but as I suspected the big deal I bought for $69 quickly turned into much more. An additional $250 was quoted but since they were there and I wanted it all gone, I paid it. They also requested cash.

The appointment window was 8-9 am and the technican called around 7:10 to tell me he would arrive around 8. He did a thorough cleaning of the hose despite adverse weather (it was raining) . He took away the collected lint. He gave me an estimate for a new hose, should I need one in future. The dryer is now more efficient. I would recommend this company

I purchased the deal as listed. The vendor contacted me within a business day to schedule the service. I asked about having some additional work (beyond the scope of the deal) done for a little extra cost and they were very accommodating. I did try to "stage" the stuff in the garage, for them, but mostly it was just a bunch of clutter and junk that had accumulated over 15 years. Two days before the scheduled service date, the provider called and said they had a cancellation for the next day, that worked out for me and so we rescheduled. They arrived as agreed the next day and spent about an hour or so extracting the stuff from the garage. They also handled my "extra" request for a very reasonable $30. I also really like that anything they removed that was serviceable would go to good cause, like Habitat for Humanity. Excellent service.

Just cleaned the dryer vent and left. Turns out that wasn't the problem, but he did no inspection, just hit and run.

They were thorough and knowledgeable. They made good suggestions. I have made plans to have them back for an additional job.
