McClintock Heating & Cooling

A service person was dispatched within a day of the initial phone call. It was determined a new A/C unit was needed and they offered several options, and did not try to sell the highest priced one but, rather assured my friend that the smaller Trane unit would be more than ample for the size house. They installed it about 4 days later. They came early morning and worked straight thru until mid-afternoon. They were prompt, efficient, and neat. We had previously consulted another company. They were going to charge $10,000 and offered no other choice. The A/C did go out again a few weeks later, but they promptly came and resolved the problem.

The overall installation of both full units, plus an air purifier, took 2.5 days. All of the technicians were professional, personable and cleaned up at the end of each day. I would like to add we compared prices w/several other companies and McClintock was the best. We also appreciated that they offered to load us up on refrigerant (what was leaking from our A Coil) until the new systems could be installed, at no cost to us. As the work was being done, the owner, Rob, came out to check the work, along with Charles, the sales rep. There was definite team approach, and an interest in our business and satisfaction. When I asked a competitor of theirs (who was working up an estimate for us) about McClintock, he said, "If I can't help you, Rob will do you right." I have recommended McClintock to many people since and would certainly use them again. The work was done about two months ago and we are extremely pleased with the end result.

The Price, is the best I found for a TWO system home. Technician was on time and very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable (he claimed 24 years in the industry).

The office and the contractor were both curtious and explained everything clearly. I was pleased with their service.

When our home was built 18 years ago, the installers of the duct work, reversed 2 lines in our home which was affecting our air not allowing us to get the air flow we should have. They crossed lines on 2 separate systems. Our main floor and the lower level system. Which affected 1 vent on each floor. We had other HVAC companies telling us there was no way to get to that duct work and correct it. Rob was able to identify where the correction needed to be done. They had to cut 5 small 12x12 areas in my sheet rock to access my ducts and reverse the lines. Our home office now stays cool when it should be cool and warm when it should be warm. We had only 2 vents working when there should've been 3. They did a great job.

The two McClintock representatives arrived on time, were polite and professional, honest and hard-working. They not only fixed the HVAC problem at lightning speed, but they took the time to explain what steps were taken to troubleshoot the issue and find the problem area. We will absolutely call them again if we ever need HVAC or electrical assistance.

Great - Jack & Kevin showed up right when scheduled & took a lot of time explaining to me what they were doing & what was wrong with our A/C system. They also told me the pros & cons of not getting a new system & didn't pressure me at all. They covered their shoes when going upstairs on the carpet & kept everything very neat. Very reasonably priced too - I will definitely use them when our system finally goes!

The two gentlemen who came performed the maintenance to the a/c and made notes on the additional questions I asked. There was a follow-up call on my voice mail during the week asking that I call if there was anything unsatisfactory about the work.

All company contact was consistently professional, both with Rob McClintock and company employees--people showed up at the time promised, telephone calls were returned promptly, questions were clearly answered. Very satisfied with overall experience and will recommend this company to friends and co-workers needing heating and air conditioning work.

This was an excellent experience. Jack Rhodes was on time, very professional and polite. I called McClintock for a second opinion after another company told me that we needed a new heating unit because of carbon monoxide in the chimney flue. Jack spent almost one hour inspecting my heat exchanger and found no problems. The first company had installed a new switch for our heating unit but the heat would not come on. Jack found that the first company had left the new switch unconnected so he connected it. He used a carbon monoxide detector in the house and in the crawl space, finding no CO. He did get a CO reading in the flue which he said is typical (we have gas logs). We have two CO detectors in our house which have never detected any problems. Jack recommended having the heat exchanger burners cleaned ($89) which we will schedule with McClintock. Above everything else, I look for honesty, integrity and professionalism from a company and McClintock has it all!

Rob came out and we discussed his services. He provided requested quotes for a humidifier, and even recommended zoning our home for more efficient heating. He was very helpful. I agreed to do an annual maintenance contract with them for our HVAC system. A service tech came out to do the maintenance. He arrived on time and, I felt, did a thorough job. I am looking forward to a long-term working relationship with them.

WE WERE EXTREMELY PLEASED WITH THE SERVICE FROM MCCLINTOCK. THEY WERE ABLE TO FIT US IN THE SAME DAY WE CALLED, AND THEY WERE VERY GOOD ABOUT KEEPING IN TOUCH ON SCHEDULING. THE TECHNICIAN WAS COURTEOUS, PROMPT, EFFICIENT, AND KNOWLEDGABLE. HE TOOK THE TIME TO EXPLAIN THE ISSUE AND THE REQUIRED REPAIR.

EXCELLENT. THE SERVICE TECHNICIAN ACTUALLY ARRIVED 15 MINUTES EARLY. HE WORE SHOE COVERS AND WAS VERY KNOWLEDGABLE AND POLITE.

THE GENTLEMAN WHO CAME OUT WAS VERY HELPFUL AND INFORMATIVE. THEY WERE HALF THE PRICE OF ANOTHER COMPANY.

ROB CAME OUT AND EXAMINED OUT CURRENT SYSTEM AND SET UP. HE FULLY EXPLAINED WHAT HE WAS GOING TO DO, AND INDICATED THAT ALL EXISTING WIRING AND DELIVERY DUCT WORK COULD BE REUSED. HE ALSO EXPLAINED THE DIFFERENCE IN OPTIONS, AND SAID THAT THE EXISTING UNIT WAS APPROXIMATELY ONE HALF TON TOO SMALL. HE WAS THE CHEAPEST OF THREE ESTIMATES. EXCELLENT WORK SYSTEM PERFORMED AS PROMISED AND VERY PLEASED WITH ALL WORK.

I CALLED ON MONDAY, THE PHONE PERSON WAS VERY HELPFUL. SHE SAID SHE WOULD CHECK WITH THE TECHNICIAN TO SEE IF HE COULD COME OUT SAME DAY. TURNS OUT HE COULDN'T, BUT SHE CALLED ME RIGHT BACK AND SCHEDULED FOR FIRST THING THE FOLLOWING MORNING. I WENT AHEAD AND REQUESTED A YEARLY SERVICE CONTRACT. THE TECH WAS RIGHT ON TIME AT 8 AM, I SHOWED HIM OUR THERMOSTAT WHICH WASN'T RESPONDING TO BUTTON PUSHES. HE SHOWED ME HOW IF YOU PRESSED REALLY HARD IT WOULD WORK. I ASKED FOR AND HE GAVE ME A QUOTE ON REPLACING IT, BUT I DECIDED I COULD JUST LIVE WITH IT. HE SPENT 2 HOURS SERVICING, CLEANING, AND CHECKING OUR UNITS, AND GAVE ME SOME RECOMMENDATIONS SUCH AS PUTTING INSULATION ON THE ATTIC STAIRS. EVERYTHING WAS INCLUDED IN THE SERVICE CONTRACT PRICE. THE TECHNICIAN PUT COVERS ON HIS SHOES INSIDE THE HOUSE. HE WORKED IN THE ATTIC AND OUTSIDE THE HOUSE AND WAS VERY COURTEOUS.

THE REPLACEMENT FILTER, IN THE INSIDE UNIT BELOW THE HOUSE, HAS PERFORMED ADMIRABLY DURING THE LAST 6 MONTHS. THE DOG FLUFF IS BETTER REMOVED FROM THE AIR. I NO LONGER HAVE TO STOOP OVER DOWN THERE EVERY 2 MONTHS (OR RISK PUTTING THE JOB OFF) TO PULL THE ELECTRONIC FILTERS FOR WASHING. THE LARGE WIRE OUTSIDE IS VERY BEAUTIFUL, AND A GOOD LENGTH NOW, SECURELY CLAMPED TO THE HOUSE. THE OLD ONE, ORIGINAL TO THE FIRST INSTALL, WAS ABOUT 4'' TOO SHORT, AND HAD WORKED LOOSE. MUCH IMPROVED AND WORTH THE $ TO FIX.

JOB 1: I OWN SEVERAL RENTAL PROPERTIES. THEY DID AN EXCELLENT JOB ON ONE OF THEM THAT REQUIRED REFITTING AND QUICK WORK. I WAS IMPRESSED WITH THE QUALITY OF THE WORK, THE EXPERT ADVICE AND CONSULTATION, THE TIMELINESS OF THE PROJECT, AND THE PRICE. I WILL USE THEM FOR ALL MY PROJECTS. JOB 2: THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THAT I USED ROB AND HIS CREW. AGAIN, HE DID AN OUTSTANDING JOB. VERY RELIABLE AND PROFESSIONAL. I WILL CONTINUE TO USE MCCLINTOCK. RESPONSIVE, GREAT ADVISE, GREAT SERVICE.

THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL, AND WE SIGNED A CONTRACT WITH THEM.

SERVICE TECH CALLED TO UPDATE ME ON ARRIVAL TIME; ARRIVED SHORTLY THEREAFTER AND PERFORMED SERVICE. SINCE IT WAS A MAINTENANCE CONTRACT, ASKED IF THERE WERE ANY QUESTIONS, TO BE SURE I UNDERSTOOD WHAT THE CONTRACT COVERED/DID NOT COVER. HE WAS RESPECTFUL OF MY TIME, AND PROFESSIONAL.

MCCLINTOCK CAME OUT TO DIAGNOSE A PROBLEM WITH MY THERMOSTAT. HOWEVER, SINCE I WAS GOING TO SIGN A SERVICE CONTRACT WITH THEM, THEY DID NOT CHARGE FOR THE DIAGNOSTIC. THE SPRING A/C SERVICE WAS COMPLETED AND THE PROBLEM REMEDIED. THE SERVICE TECH TOOK APPROXIMATELY TWO HOURS TO COMPLETE HIS WORK AND EVERYTHING TURNED OUT JUST FINE. I'VE CHECKED OTHER COMPANIES FOR SERVICE PRICING AND MCCLINTOCK WAS BY FAR THE BEST PRICE CONSIDERING I HAVE A DUAL SYSTEM. THE TECH ARRIVED AT THE SCHEDULED TIME AND I HAVE NO COMPLAINTS. OF NOTE, THE $218 IS THE TOTAL PRICE FOR A ONE YEAR CONTRACT. IT INCLUDES THE SPRING A/C SERVICE AND THE FALL HEATING SERVICE. ADDITIONALLY, CONTRACT HOLDERS ARE PROVIDED WITH A 15% DISCOUNT ON SERVICE CALLS OVER AND ABOVE THE NORMAL MAINTENANCE.

WE HAD NO HEAT ON THE COLDEST NIGHT OF THE YEAR (15 DEGREES!). WE PLACED A SERVICE CALL LATE IN THE EVENING. OUR TECHNICIAN, JACK, ARRIVED THE NEXT DAY. THE COMPANY COMMUNICATED VERY WELL AND ACCOMMODATED MY BUSY SCHEDULE. I HAVE ALREADY REQUESTED THAT THEY COME BACK FOR AN EVALUATION OF OUR OTHER UNIT AS WELL AND WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THEIR SERVICE. MCCLINTOCK PROVIDES QUALITY SERVICE AT A REASONABLE PRICE. UNLIKE OTHER COMPANIES I HAVE EXPERIENCED, THEY DID NOT TRY TO SELL ME SOMETHING I DID NOT NEED AND GOUGE ME ON THE PRICES. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEIR SERVICE.

I AM GLAD TO HAVE THE ANNUAL SERVICE AGREEMENT WITH THIS COMPANY. THEY COME OUT AGAIN TO CHECK THINGS FOR THE COOLING SEASON. I WILL PROBABLY RENEW THE CONTRACT PART($119) AS THE AIR INSIDE MY HOME IS MARVELOUSLY CLEAN NOW AND WHEN A REPAIR IS NEEDED, IT WILL BE DONE AT A DISCOUNT!
