Doug was extremely easy to work with and very flexible. In order to save some money we removed the old deck and painted the new porch ourselves and Doug was willing to accommodate our schedule. He also provided good advice for design as well as the demolition and paint work that we did on our own. Doug kept us informed throughout the project, explaining each step of process. The finished porch is just what we had hoped - material and workmanship were very good. There is only one item that I would like to have been different and that is the screen door closures. The doors do not have a working door knob/latch that can be latched and opened from both the inside and outside of the door and the springs on the door do not hold it closed when the wind is gusting. Doug added stronger springs and this helped but does not completely prevent the doors from blowing in the wind without using the old fashion hook latch on the inside of the porch which prevents entry from the exterior. Minor issue.

Really, really well. We are very pleased with our porch. Doug was patient with us and very accommodating. I noticed the shingles they were about to apply were not the same manufacturer as our roof (which we just had replaced). Even though they were both black and probably comparable quality, I wanted to be sure they would age and weather the same. Doug immediately called the roofers off and they returned the next day to apply the correct shingles. The only problem we experienced was that the bead board ceiling was supposed to be stained the same tint as the decking. While we were away on vacation the ceiling was primed white. Doug immediately took responsibility for the mix-up and offered to re-do the ceiling the correct way. He also suggested a couple of other options, which we ended up doing because we did not think replacing the bead board at that time was realistic without causing other issues. The workers were polite and friendly, and (for the most part) cleaned up pretty well.

I received several estimates and Doug's was in line with the others, however, he provides all services, including painting and electrical. So, the job was well coordinated and I didn't have to contract for the other services. I had to wait several weeks because of his schedule, but once they started, they quickly finished the job. His team was so professional and reliable. I asked for Doug's advice on several issues and he was always right with his recommendations. I am so thrilled with the finished product! I highly recommend Exterior Additions - the whole dynamic of my home has been changed by this addition. I know I will be spending a lot of time on my new porch.

The project went excellent from start to finish. Doug and his crew were very professional and did high quality work. Mike was our site guy who asked good questions and made sure that he knew exactly what we wanted and did his best to deliver on every aspect. The communication was excellent from the first quote meeting with Doug, the start of the project with introductions to Mike and his team, all the way through completion. The project turned out better than we expected. Doug was very good at listening to our wants and desires. He was full of suggestions to make the project better and even shared some items that would save us money and get the desired effect. I do recommend Doug and his team highly and would use them again in the future.

From the very beginning, we were impressed by Doug s friendliness and professionalism. He returned all of our phone calls and e-mails promptly, and was never late for any meetings. He worked patiently with us, answering numerous questions and offering helpful suggestions. There were several times during the design stage when we asked about features that could have dramatically increased the cost of the project. Doug could have just taken our money, and quite frankly we probably would have never known the difference. Instead, Doug offered more practical alternatives that ended up looking far better than the designs we proposed. We were also very impressed with the crew. They were all just as professional, friendly, and dedicated to quality as Doug is, and were very careful to keep our house and yard clean (even coming and going through the window to avoid going through the house). Last, but certainly not least, the addition and the patio look great! We could not be happier.

This was one of the most positive contractor experiences I have ever had. Doug Lynch was great to work with, returned phone calls promptly and provided me with a quality product. I could not be happier with the new deck. I would highly recommend Exterior Additions.

Overall, we are extremely happy with our deck! The craftsmanship is exceptional! Coincidently, Exterior Additions had built the screened-in porch for the previous homeowners. Doug was happy to work from our architect plans and discussed the pros (value, ease of maintenance, longevity) and cons (cost, additional support needed) of going with composite. Construction started within two weeks of his estimate, about 10 weeks from contract. Afternoon storms hit several times during the first week of construction, making for a very messy and treacherous work area. I was disappointed with the orderliness of the job site with materials, tools and trash scattered. However, Doug made it up to us by offering to stain the deck for a reduced price. Upon completion, the octagon bump-out had some sway in it. Doug was happy to remedy the situation. Additional cable supports were added post inspection. The finished project is beautiful!

We had a pleasant meeting with Doug Lynch in 2/07. Shortly afterward, we received his proposal and awarded him the contract two weeks later. Doug told us he'd be ready to start construction on 4/1/07. In the meantime he arranged for the pool demolition, which was completed in three days. The actual porch construction commenced a week earlier than expected, a welcome surprise. The carpentry team quickly had the porch framed in, using 4x4 posts throughout. The roofers installed shingles identical to our house. Painting and electrical work followed immediately afterward and our porch was completed in time for a graduation party in 5/07. We can't praise Exterior Additions enough for their diligence and craftsmanship. Everyone, to a man (carpenters, painters, roofers, electricians), strived to produce the best possible product, and it shows in our wonderful porch. We would use Exterior Additions again in a heartbeat. You will not find a better company on Angie's List.

It went very well. It took approximately 20 days to complete, which was within his estimated time frame. The finished product is beautiful! The quality of work is exemplary. The crew of men working were all friendly and knowledgeable. The porch is a beautiful addition to my home. I have been making daily use of the area. It is fast becoming my favorite room "in" the house. During construction, they found some wood damage from what they thought were termites. The exterminator could find no other damage so it was contained to just a few boards. This only raised the quoted price by $100.00

Doug showed up early for all appointments from estimate through completion. He was warm and friendly and professional at all times. He showed a genuine interest in our family and the results are perfect. I have recently retired from the Interior architectural business and found him and his sub-contractors and superintendents very easy to communicate with. When I presented them with ideas that were new to them they listened and ALWAYS accomplished my request. I now have a home with the polish and finish that I wanted and can easily recommend Doug and his crew. Oh, one negative! He showed up 2 weeks EARLY to start the job and we had to scramble!!! I hope that you all have such problems!

I always thought a deck was a deck or screened room was a screened room. After getting 3 quotes & checking up on all 3 to see what type of work they did, it was a very easy decision. Doug started the job when he said he was going to start & finished a little ahead of schedule. In addition he also answers his phone when you call him, unless he's already on it & even then you get a quick call back. We are probably about as easy going as you can get when it comes to having someone do work for us, but the bottom line is this company delivers a top-notch product & Doug is genuinely concerned with giving good customer service & making sure the customer is happy. We had thought about the addition for the past year & had worried about getting the best product at the best price. I know we succeeded. Everyone needs to do their research & get a few quotes, but the best thing you can do is call Exterior Additions & let them do the rest.

We had a hard time finding a contractor for this project, but Doug was very responsive from Day 1. He was the most professional, punctual, and fair contractor we have come across. All of his workers from the framers to the electricians to the concrete layers and tilers were beyond nice and professional. He told us when something wouldn't work and listened to our needs and tried to meet all of them. He had to get creative at times to make sure he was within city codes but also meeting our expectations for the project. The project was completed within a suitable time frame and exceeds our expectations.

Doug and crew were excellent to work with. Very professional. Provided excellent tips and advice. You will not find a more responsive project manager than Doug. He is upbeat and positive every time you talk to him. His "can-do" spirit is an instant confidence builder. All advice was on the money. I highly recommend Exterior Additions.

Fantastic. I am a little late in filing my report, but the work and the professionalism of this group is top notch. When I reviewed their work I had one area of concern that I was going to call them about. When I got home to make the call, they had already had someone out to address it. I receive compliments frequently on the work they did. Why would you use anyone else?

Doug answered our calls and questions promptly and always came right over to discuss any changes or problems we had. The workers were top quality in every way. They were pleasant to be around, kept the area very clean, and were detailed oriented. The job started on time and was finished in a very timely manner. The workmanship is beautiful and very well done from floor to ceiling. The entire process went very smoothly, workers showed up when expected and parts and installation were always on time. Doug runs a high quality company with a very fair cost to his clients. Doug is friendly, helpful, and very responsive, answering his phone or returning our call within minutes. It was truly a pleasure working with Dough and his crews. They are good people who are just as talented as they are professional. Truly a pleasure to work with and our porch looks amazing.

Everything went very well. The crew was courteous, prompt, knowledgeable, and overall, quite professional. If a problem came up, they supplied a solution. For example, a very small window was broken when the broom brush flew off the broom handle, while cleaning up after themselves. They repaired the window at their own expense. When grading the dirt for the ramp, they cut through an unforeseen wire to a spotlight out in the yard. They repaired and even moved it to a better spot near the ramp that worked out better for us.

Doug explained that although it would be February before he could start, once construction began our project would be the focus of his team. True to his word, the work began in February and was finished by the end of March. He was easily available for questions (through e-mail and phone), and we always knew the status of the project. The best part of this project was seeing everything turn out even better than we anticipated... The bead-board ceiling, the framed lattice, the complimentary paint colors, and most importantly... the professional crews. This entire experience was wonderful and I would highly recommend Exterior Additions for your addition projects!

From the 1st visit until the final inspection, these guys are top notch professionals. They removed a 12x16 horrible deck and built a wonderful 12x24 composite decked masterpiece. They also stained all of the wood rails, lattice, and spindles to match the decking. All of the work was done exactly on schedule and the craftsmanship was excellent. I will use Exterior Additions in the near future.

Doug returned my calls quickly during the project and provided an estimate on the spot. He was one of 3 estimates I received for the project. His crew arrived every morning like clock work. I can't begin to convey how pleased we were with their work and attention to detail. I have since recommended Exterior Additions to several friends. If I would have known it would have turned out like this we would have done it years ago.

After having been burned badly by our first contractor, we couldn't be happier with how this project turned out. Doug and his team did a great job. The quality of their work is outstanding. Very detailed focus. They consistently showed up when they said they would, they were courteous/friendly/amenable at every step. We have hired them again to do a small pool room. This time we put a completion date in the contract.

Our first impression of Doug was great. He was the only contractor who was on time, in fact a few minutes early. His portfolio and website was very impressive. When compared to the other estimates we received he was actually the least expensive. We were scheduled to start at the end of Jan, but they had a postponement due to the Holidays and said they could fit us in almost immediately. The crew was awesome. They were very polite and professional. And to make things even better, they were incredible craftsmen. I am the biggest critic out there, and I was overly impressed with the skills of the crew. The ceiling is a return gable, very difficult to frame and it is gorgeous. Also the subs they use are also as top notch; Ron the electrician, HVAC guys, and others. I found Doug to be an honest and upright guy who doesn't nickle and dime the project. He doesn't mark up everything the subs do. An extra switch is whatever the electrician charges. I would highly recommend them.

When the work was completed, I was very well satisfied. I found a great company. Exterior Additions did a great job, and I would use them again in a heartbeat. Since the work was completed, I have received so many compliments. I would definitely recommend this company to everyone!

We were quite satisfied customers while we were using this company. They hire skilled employees who are masters of their trade. The prices are reasonable. I have been impressed with how sturdy our new deck is. I feel quite comfortable telling others that this company is one that will go out of their way to make sure you are happy in the end.
