The overall job was outstanding. Doug was punctual and full of helpful ideas during the initial consultation. The job started three weeks ahead of schedule, which coincided with the upcoming birthday party - perfect. Doug's team of carpenters lead by Jeremiah where true professionals. They arrived on-time and got right to it. The old porch was torn down and hauled off within a couple hours. Everyday the progress was substantial and the yard stayed suprisingly clean. When I did talk with the carpenters they were very friendly and open to any questions I had. They didn't intrude on our normal lifestyle, in fact we heard the occasional laughter. At each phase of the project, Doug kept us posted on what to expect and handled any concerns we had. The completion of the job was on schedule and the few odd-and-ends that were left, Doug handled himself. He didn't seem satisfied until we were.

I have already recommended them to dozens of people. I think they are just phenomenal. My husband is in the commercial construction business and he said that this company did follow through on everything that they said they would do. I wound not hesitate to call them again should the need arise.

This was an excellent experience, Doug Lynch and his crew and subcontractors performed every aspect of the job in timely manner. All took pride in their work and it shows in the workmanship of the final product. Doug was very responsive when questions arose, as they will in a job of this type, he was prompt and always positive in suggesting solutions. The job took about 3 months from breaking ground to final inspection which was less than the original time estimate. We had an architect prepare a plan and spent a lot of time ourselves picking out and purchasing the fixtures, flooring and finish to make our project a custom job. The time we spent helped Doug and his crew because there were no delays due to changes or late deliveries. We would highly recommend Exterior Additions to anyone considering remodeling or adding to their home.

they have a good reputation with other customers so I'm sure they are a company that does high end work. The job I wanted done should not cost even half as much as this man's estimate. He must be looking for very rich people that let their money go very easily.

The guy that came out was very kind and polite. He came out within twenty four hours of the phone call. He showed us what and where they were going to do the work.

The experience could not have been better. Doug Lynch did not disappoint from start to finish. He was never late for an appointment, informative throughout the process and everything went on schedule just as he promised it would. He was helpful in the decision making process (such as whether to use wood vs. synthetic decking) but never pushy. His crew was hard working, friendly and did a good job of cleaning up the yard/driveway at the end of each work day. The finished product looked better than what I had in mind when I first decided to add a porch to the back of the house. The porch looks natural as if it was a part of the house's original design, not just something tacked on to the back. Even after he was done and had been paid, Doug came back to replace a screen my dog knocked loose and added a pet grate to make sure it would not happen again.

They showed up on time every day. The owner came out and checked everything to make sure it meet his expectations. They cleaned up everything when they were done. It took them a month to do all the work.

Doug was great, the consummate professional and very knowledgeable. He came out to look at bidding on building a screen porch for us and quickly recognized that we would not be able to get a permit. He educated us about the risks involved in building without a permit, both in terms of the potential for fines, etc., but also in terms of resale problems. While here, Doug also looked at several other projects we have in process, or are planning, and provided advice and very helpful consultation. He even set down at the computer with us to show us how to look up a contractor's permit and license information for occasions when there might be a problem with a contractor. Doug was timely, very professional, knowledgeable and very pleasant. We did not contract with him right now, but will definitely use him in the future! He stayed over an hour and didn't charge us a dime.

For anyone that has ever hired a bad contractor, this experience was a breath of fresh air. We did our research before having anyone come out, and after reading the excellent reviews Doug and his company were given on Angie s List we contacted him. From the first day we met him, Doug was professional, likeable and very knowledgeable. He drew up a plan for us, and after looking at it and discussing it, there were several changes we wanted made. He came back out and reworked our plan with us to meet our satisfaction. He also worked our plan around our existing paver patio to bring everything in our backyard into focus. From the moment the work began we were completely satisfied. Jeremiah and his crew were very efficient and dedicated to the project. They showed up and worked hard from start to finish, and gave us a great level of workmanship. Doug showed up several times onsite to check the progress and responded promptly with any questions/concerns we had. When a piece of work was left out, Doug was out the next day to take care of it himself. In addition, they did a great job with the cleanup of the project and removal of the old materials. Our porch is absolutely beautiful. We have gained an additional living area for our home, and we love it!

The porch and deck look great and have stood the test of time as I had it built a little over a year ago. Great people to work with!

Doug and his crew are extremely courteous, professional, and, most importantly, client-focused. I have never worked with a general contractor who kept me updated on a day-to-day basis. We were amazed at how quickly and efficiently they worked. The entire project was completed in approximately ten days. As for the finished product: the porch is stunning. We are absolutely thrilled with the results.

We could not have had a better experience! From start to finish, Doug and his crew were incredibly professional, attentive and friendly. Construction started in the beginning of March and there were a couple of days they could not work due to weather, but when they were here, I was amazed at the rate of their progress. There were a couple of incidents of minor damage that happened during the job, but Doug made sure everything was 100% fixed to our satisfaction... In some cases, even better than it was to begin with! Our new deck and sun room make an incredible addition to our home and I would do it all over again in a heartbeat!

I cannot say enough good things about Doug, Jeremiah, Steven, Carlos & Ron. All involved were nothing but professional and extremely efficient. They have built so many decks, porches and additions that they work like a well-oiled machine. I have never had such a care-free experience w/ a contractor before... and this was a fairly large job. I met w/ Doug, we discussed our dream porch and he gave us a rough estimate. He made some suggestions including his ideas for the roof line. I had said that I didn't want a high roof/ceiling as I wanted a "cozy" feel. He suggested the return gable/shed roof and I was skeptical but I trusted him. Well, it's a gorgeous roof and everyone who sees it loves it. Every suggestion Doug made was the right one. I'm so glad I trusted him concerning paint colors, design, etc. because his input resulted in a porch that is well beyond what I had hoped for. From tear down to completion it was 4 wks... 2 wks ahead of schedule.

Doug and company did a great job demolishing your old deck. Withing 24 hours the deck was down and hauled off. The new structure went up quickly with few problems, and it looks great. The quality and workmanship is superb. As with all construction there were a few glitches but Doug handled the issues with ease. Great quality, great service. A very good value. I would hire Exterior Additions again.

Great. Doug always responded promptly with questions. For the deck, everything was detailed in estimate he presented on first visit with drawing, business card and license number, and followed up with detailed description of work to be done in written contract and related paperwork. He asked for a small deposit at signing of contract and only asked for payments as parts were done (framing, electrical, etc.) He handled all inspections and made sure they happened in a timely manner. Doug uses his own employees and they were efficient, friendly, and did high quality work. Doug also came out to check on the work a few times and to make sure things were being done to my satisfaction. The other project was the small jobs I needed done to give access to cats in basement/den area only. Doug came out to get the details of work to be done and promptly sent me a written estimate. You get your money's worth - excellent work and results.

We had an excellent experience with Exterior Additions. Doug Lynch was extremely easy to work with and stayed in constant communication during the course of the project. Exterior Addition's crew and subcontractors were courteous and did excellent work. Project was on time and on budget. A++ experience.

Doug came out the same week of my initial call to take a look at the space and gave me a quote at that first meeting in late November. Work began on January 2 (to accommodate my and Doug's holiday schedules). At the end of the first week, the deck was in place and the screen porch was framed, including the roof. The roof shingling and rough wiring were done the following week. Rainy weather held off progress for about a week, but painting, screen installation, gutters, and electrical finish work were completed within the next two weeks. The project was fully completed February 1 and cost less than the original estimated price to account for materials that were not needed in the end. Doug even offered to come back and pressure wash everything, so it would be looking its best in preparation for furniture. I'm so very pleased with the end product! It looks beautiful and will get a lot of use! I HIGHLY recommend this company!!!

Doug's was the middle price of three estimates we got. His experience with similar jobs, his "can do" attitude, and willingness to make it a collaborative project with our ideas and even our materials sometimes, led us to choose his company. It was absolutely the right choice! Doug stuck to his schedule, his estimate, and stayed available and involved through and even after the project was completed. We were happy with all of his subcontractors and to the extent small problems came up, Doug did what was necessary to make it right. After the addition was completed and paid for, Doug came back personally to do some minor tweaking. We truly have no complaints and unconditionally recommend Exterior Additions.

Doug was honest, pleasant and responsive every step of the project. The project was done ahead of schedule. All the subcontractors were very professional, perfectionists, and non-obtrusive to the family. All were attentive to detail. Doug had been highly recommended to us and we were not disappointed!

After reading the reviews of Exterior Additions on Angie's List, we contacted them for an estimate. We also got estimates from two other companies that had good reviews on Angie's List. Doug gave us a detailed estimate and a personal presentation. Of the companies we contacted, his presentation, description, and knowledge far exceeded the others. It was an extra bonus that he was professional and likable, and that his estimate was the best. Throughout the installation, we remained impressed with the work and especially with Doug's responsiveness and communication with us. For example, when we mentioned to him a minor concern that we had, within a half hour, someone was here to fix it. Each of the workers did an outstanding job; it is obvious that the owner of the company has set the standard high. We have rarely been so impressed and we are not easily pleased!

Things went very well. Doug came over when he said he would, gave us a very fair estimate, and we got started on schedule. The workers/subcontractors were very professional and the follow-through from Doug was excellent. The porch looks great and we intend to use them again for some other projects.

The final product is outstanding. In addition, these folks are terrific to work. Doug Lynch (owner) is exceptional: He does quality work, has terrific ideas related to construction and other matters, provides fast response/communication, and has put together and strong team of construction employees and sub-contractors. I have found Doug to be the "exception to the rule" among contractors (at least ones that I've worked with) he is timely in his communication, he is honest and operates with great integrity, willingly partners with you to discuss areas to potentially save money yet maintain a nice product, and is a fountain of knowledge on a variety of construction matters. On several occasions he has made recommendations to me outside of the immediate scope of work and was always on the money. Exterior Additions is the not the cheapest, nor the most expensive, just the best. You will be pleased if you do business with Doug and team. I highly recommend them.

What a wonderful addition to our house! I still have the feeling I'm sitting on a deck rather than in a screened porch. Doug quickly figured out that we were interested in a face lift rather than an expensive addition and he and his crew made that happen.
