The Tier One crew quickly replaced our furnace and added a pump for the condensate line, which had always been lacking from the old furnace. They were also able to quickly figure out and fix a problem with the air handler in the upstairs (had been seen several times by another HVAC team with no good answer).

We set up our appointment on Angie's List early in the morning but we're looking for someone to come out that day. We called the office and the dispatcher was so friendly and helpful. They were able to get us a technician within a hour. Brad came out and was very professional. He was able to quickly find the problem and fix it. I would highly recommend tier one.

Everything seemed to be in good shape. No problems detected. Serviceman was efficient, informative and explained as he went.

I contacted several providers for estimates and Tier 1 offered the best price by a large margin. A time was set for the install and they arrived pretty much on time. They worked non stop the entire day and finished around 6 PM. They were professional and polite and I barely noticed them in the house. When the county inspector came he said he was not familiar with a Tier 1 but was impressed with the work they did. He pointed out things that were done that were not required by code but made the install safer and commented about the sloppy workmanship of other companies. The inspector suggested an additional strap to secure the furnace and said he would contact Tier 1 with his report. When I didn't hear back from Tier 1 after a few days I called. They said they never received the report. They immediately contacted the county and called me back and set up a time to come out the next day. The installer arrived on time and instead of adding one strap he added 3! All pretty painless so I definitely would recommend them and will use them again.

They gave me a reasonable price and work was good for the price. only had to point out a small final touchup to make installation look esthetically pleasing. other than that i was pleased with work performed overall.

Inspected heating system - which at the time had an issue. Additional work was done to fix the issue. Add'l cost $168. There was some confusion about the additional charges for the additional work, but it was worked out.

With the first frost of the 2015 Fall season we tried to turn on our furnace for the first time after the summer and it didn't work. We sent a friendly email to Dave Straub at Tier 1 early in the morning asking if there was anything we should check as we knew we hadn't used the furnace since the prior winter and the entire system was newly installed in 2014. Without hesitation David offered and then came to our house in less than an hour we didn't even have to ask. He immediately suited up and crawled under our house and began trouble shooting. It turned out due to the extensive rains from recent storms in the Carolina's during Sept/Oct 2015 our condensation pump had been exposed to water from the storms and had tripped the GFI. Dave quickly identified reset/refilled/checked the pump and the heat kicked on immediately. Our house is now so comfortable and we are so thankful for Dave and his incredible expertise and customer service!! He would not charge us for the visit and only asked that we keep him posted and wished us a great day. Dave I can't thank you enough as my fiancé was feeling a little under the weather and having the house warm again has truly made her day!!

Air conditioning system was recharged with 2lbs of 410 refrigerant. had to be called back later in the day because room temp was not coming down. I was told that's the way it is. Long story short. Today I got a third opinion and found out the system was over charged. So the Angies list deal of $68.99 plus $150 was no deal. I put up with this poor air conditioning all summer because of this. Got the pressure where it should be now and its working fine no thanks to Tier 1! I want a refund! Work Order 4301193 on 5/20

I experienced AC problem over the weekend and called Tier 1. They arranged to come out on 9/7 (labor day). Ben was the service tech and he determined the the cooling system was not charged to desired level to function properly. At the time I decided to recharge system rather than run additional more thorough tests to determine source of problem (probable leak). Ben explained the alternatives to just recharging. Ben added 2 lbs of R-410A and system resumed working as it should. See above "Overall" Rating as to my thoughts on service techs performance.

After my new construction grade units began failing (house 8 year old), I chose to replace all three with new, more efficient units. Tier 1 was punctual with each visit and each quote. I compared their quotes to two other companies and they were competitive. Scheduling the replacements and work was easy. Their crew was professional and clean. The new units are more efficient and much quieter. This work was completed in the summer of 2014. I had to call them to diagnose a problem with one of the units in Aug-2015. They came out right away and fixed it under warranty. I will only use Tier 1 for all my HVAC work going forward. Highly recommend them.

The technician came 2 hours late so I called customer service and came to know he is late as he is servicing a lot customers. The technician did some inspection and clean the AC. At the end he reported that the capacitor is weak and the replacement cost for that day is $185.00. Since I was not sure about the actual cost I asked him about the cost on another day which he could not tell. I also asked about the coolant which he could not provide as it was not included in the deal. Since this was my first HVAC tune up experience I am not sure of if he did a great job.

Excellent, professional work. My schedule was problematic and I canceled one appointment. I told them that I would call back to reschedule and forgot to do it. They persisted with several messages and got me to set up the appointment. Terrific people to work with and a job well done. I will definitely continue to use Tier One!

Used $59 check up special to service AC unit. Was a little disappointed to find out that the $59 was per unit, and I had two AC units, but they were kind enough to extend the $59 to the second unit as well so I just paid double. Great service and good recommendations. Called them a few weeks later to do a repair found in a home inspection. Repair was minor so was only charged the $59 visit fee one more time. Great work. Honest as he could have charged for various "recommended" serviced, but did not.

They were awesome. They were very fast. They came out on time when they were supposed to. They were very timely and thorough and fixed my air conditioning. The Big Deal was for service for a year where they come out twice a year. Because of the service that I signed up for, basically there's no service call when you sign up for a contract with them. I plan on using them for all of my air conditioning needs.

I purchased a tune up deal for 59 but when telling the lady what the problem was she said I actually needed the diagnostic which was only 39. They scheduled me for the diagnostic and gave me the extra 20 as credit towards any repairs. Very quick responses and scheduling, very knowledgable and respectful. Excellent service. Turns out we need to replace the unit (something we knew was coming) and they gave us quotes for 4 different units and offered us the amount we spent on the repair (375) as credit towards the new unit. Will definitely be going with them.

I find Tier to be honest, effective, and responsive. I use their semi-annual tune up service and if anything happens in between, they always fit me into their schedule. Tier One is A+ in my book.

He came and fixed the central air conditioning. But, it didn't last long. Two weeks later, after their repair, the air went out again. They came out to repair again, but they said it would cost another 450 to fix it for good. It seems like they could have let me know when they came the first time what it would take to fix it. Not satisfied. The air condition is still not repaired today (6-8-15).

Went very well, the technician who came out was knowledgeable and professional. I had purchased the $109 Angies List special for the A/C and Furnace tune-up. The technician reported that the capacitor was running a little weak, and that I could replace it right then and there, or do it later. I decided to do it while he was there to save money, but there was no pressure. I'd prefer to replace a part while it's still running and know it's eventually going to go, than deal with a part that has gone out, and scurry to have to fix it. Only thing I would like to note is that I was initially told the person would be there between 10 and 12, I asked them to have him call me when he was at least 30 minutes out, that way I could come home from work. I received a phone call at 9:30 on the dot from the technician, saying he'd be there "within the half hour." He was on my doorstep 10 minutes later. Not a huge issue, luckily I decided not go to work that day, but if I hadn't been there, he would've been waiting. Better communication would've been a plus.

They could not find the error or the source of problem. We have a home warranty so we stick with what we can and cannot do. They are very professional, I might consider them in the future.

The technician arrived on time and performed the initial inspection. The coils were very dirty and the technician cleaned them twice. He detected that there was a leak in the system and it was low on freon. The system is 6 years old and hasn't been well taken care of before now so we decided just to recharge the freon and see how long it will hold for now. The leak finding process can be very invasive and expensive. The technician also replaced a capacitor in the attic which was going bad. He gave us a few recommendations to help our system perform most efficiently.

The rep. seemed very detailed and knowledgeable but I did not get what I paid for, therefore, i would not use this company again nor will I recommend them to anyone. I called another company for an inspection and the system was old but according to the service provide the system is still operational and in working condition. He would continue to use it as I have done the entire winter.

Cody was very professional and friendly. Gave us advice on how to perform regular care on our system, and on adding another HVAC system to our maintenance contract.

Our Thermostat has been an issue for years. The first technician installed a new one, but issue didn't resolve. Bridget got me connected with Dave ,(wonderful by the way) He did further research, spoke with a high Honeywell Rep and sent Brad to fix the thermostat. Our energy bill has already gone down and our efficiency report came back positive as well . Brad was able to answer all of my questions with patience. He really knew his stuff and answered them all with a smile. We've used Tier 1 three times within the past 5 years. Being satisfied all three times deserves a good review from us! Thank you Tier One! Our house hasn't dropped a single degree since you left.
