My front steps are brick and were suffering from a couple of hard winters. The mortar was all crumbling. Jose removed all the broken mortar and made it looks perfect. It looks like original construction. The culverts under my driveway were finished with stacked stone. This was in bad shape and fell apart every time we mowed around them. I asked Jose to just make them better but he turned them into works of art. Every time I back out they are very noticeable. He did an outstanding job. In fact, he made our minds race to figure out what else we could have him do. We haven't come up with anything yet, but when we do he will be my go-to guy.

Jose was prompt, and did an excellent job.

Jose estimated the job as a 2 1/2 day project. Jose and his men performed the work beautifully and on schedule. Jose is a gentleman - very professional and efficient. I am very pleased with the high quality and appearance of the steps and am pleased recommend him.

Went well. Jose texted me and let me know when he was coming. They showed up and in a day completed the work--today. Looks great!! I don't know a lot about brick laying but so far so good. Just have to wait a few days to walk on the steps so they can dry. I was worried the bricks would be really stand out different as we did not have the original bricks to insert but Jose seemed to find some as close as possible to the ones already there.

I'd highly recommend this provider. We're picky about the quality of the workmanship and found Jose to be of high value, responsive, and did excellent work.

Jose was very responsive, on time and did a great job. He stopped by within 24 hours of my initial call and assessed the job. This job was request of the buyers from their inspection. It was a small job but important to us that it be done well and in a timely manner. He returned the next day to repair the brick/rail. His work is great. We would call him again.

Excellent work. He did exactly what he said he'd do for the agreed price. He did delay the start of the project due to weather and delays on prior work, but he did contact us to let us know the reason.

Jose is in demand. I'd gotten a quote from him about a year and a half ago for the job plus reconstruction of a driveway wall, but decided we needed to save up for them and do the jobs one at a time. This time around we had the patio rebricked and graded. Although I found him through Angies list, he assumed my next door neighbor had told me about him (my neighbor had had a whole patio constructed in the back.) It turns out he also just completed another job in my neighborhood. Although we arranged for a 4-5 day work date, weather kept pushing us back, so it helps to be flexible, though I would not even have had to be home...other than clarifying the work to be done and answering questions in the end, Jose came and went as weather and the stages of the job allowed. There was much leaving to get different essentials: polymeric sand, rock for drainage, many many tools..he also graded the patio and put in a french drain the length of it! In the end, he even hauled away excess dirt and left or piled that (the better soil) that I wanted to keep where I wanted it. He has his own tools to cut brick and hose to wet down the binding sand, the compacting machine, all the levels and ropes to map it out, many many tools and axes for getting the soil and roots cleared. Final touches were straightening some of the eroded sidewalk brick not part of the job and even leaf blowing off my driveway and front walk! Jose takes much pride in his art and even came back several days later to work in some more sand into the joints to make sure I was satisfied. I want everyone to use him, but also, selfishly, want to keep him available for my next job. I think more business owners should heed his business model: pride in his work, a good relationship with his assistant, professionalism and fairness. And with that, word of mouth would become the most valuable advertisement.

Joe called me immediately and set up an appointment to give me an estimate. Very professional, he made recommendations on what could be done to my existing porches and quoted me a price - with him providing all the materials. He showed up exactly as planned and the work was exceptional! Very professional! His work was done quickly and looks great. I would definitely call Joe for any brick repairs, remolding or new projects. He was great to work with on this project!

It took a while to get our repair started because of a lot of bad weather, but Jose never forgot about us. He came to our house and took a sample of the brick so that he could match it. Finally he started and was able to complete the job in a weekend. He removed all the cracked brick and old mortar. He removed 2 layers of brick in our front steps and cleaned these bricks to reuse to replace the cracked brick so it would match exactly. He also matched the mortar exactly. He then replaced the bricks in the steps with the new brick which looked like our old brick, but the new bricks are actually a bit smaller than the old brick. On the steps, the size was indistinguishable. Jose is very professional and pleasant to work with. Although removing the bricks and cleaning them created a lot of debris and mortar dust, everything was totally cleaned up every day. The completed job looks fantastic...better than we ever imagined it would look. We have already recommended him to our daughter who has some old stone steps to replace.

Jose stopped by my house unannounced when I wasn't home to give me an estimate. When my wife informed me that he had come over, I called him on more than one occasion to try to reconnect with him. He never replied to any of my calls at all. While I can completely understand a contractor not being interested in a particular job -- and while I would have been fine with Jose telling me so -- I think it is unprofessional to simply ignore calls from customers. That made it difficult for me to move forward with the repair that I needed done. Long story short: All I expect is the courtesy of a return call. That never came.

He's great. He was absolutely wonderful. He came out and gave me a quote and he's very efficient. He got to it and he did a beautiful job. In fact, my contractors wanted to know who did it because he likes him better than a person he uses. The other estimates we got were high for the amount of brick work. In fact, I'm looking at the next project we're gonna be doing so we will be using him definitely. I recommended him to others already.

Our job threw many curves at Jose, but he handled them well. First we asked Jose to quote rebuilding our porch and walks which were brick laid in sand. The porch had settled, and roots had pushed up many of the bricks so that the walk was ugly and dangerous. The original walks that Jose quoted replacing were straight and a bit narrow. The quoted price was reasonable. Then our landscaper drew curved, wider walks and asked if Jose could do that. Jose promptly made verbal adjustments to the quote, and I was shocked at how little he was asking for changes that I knew would require more time, materials, and expertise. I later realized that I had misunderstood his verbal revision (i.e. the revised number he gave me was only for the sidewalks, not the entire job). The total number was still quite reasonable, but it probably would have been a good idea to get the revised quote in writing to make sure there was no misunderstanding. Second, before and during the time that Jose and his helper were working, we had sub-freezing temperatures and many rainy days. The result was that everything ran a bit over schedule, but that is the nature of the job and could not be avoided. He was always there when he said he would be and was good at adjusting his work schedule for the given weather conditions. Third, I don't think anyone would have predicted how many roots Jose had to cut out or that our old bricks were of irregular sizes, but he never complained and was thorough. Jose, several times asked how I wanted to handle a particular situation. I told him that I appreciated his asking but that he has much more experience and expertise than me and that he should generally feel free to use his best judgment. I was never disappointed in his decisions. There was one time when I was a touch disappointed that my old bricks were the wrong dimensions for a particular pattern, but he explained the problem, and he was absolutely right. Jose takes real pride in his craft, and it shows. Even my husband was amazed at how beautiful our new porch and sidewalks are. They exceeded our expectations.

He was exceptional with timeliness, agreement, material, work results and especially his quote. I would not hesitate about hiring him and waiting months to get on his schedule again. He is well worth the wait!!!

Mr. Ledesma came over to assess the situation and provide an estimate. We set up a date for the work to begin, which we had to change several times because of delays with some other waterproofing contractors. Jose was very gracious and flexible despite having to reschedule several times. Once the work finally began, he and his assistants showed up when they said they were going to (which doesn't always happen with other contractors sadly). Most of the work was done by one of his assistants. When we were finished I tested the drainage off the bricks with a hose and did notice some pooling still (though it was much much better than before it was fixed). Jose made sure everything was fixed to our satisfaction, even though that meant redoing a lot of the work his assistant did. I'm sure I was a pretty high maintenance customer, but I was worried about water issues near our foundation, so I wanted to make sure everything was draining properly. Jose was very professional and responsive the entire time, even though I had him come back several times to make fixes. (I did recently notice that in one area he forgot to repoint a brick, but based on previous experience, I'm sure he'll take care of that without any issues). Overall, it was a pleasure, despite a few complications. And the brickwork looks very nice.

I solicited quotes from four tradesmen listed in Angies's List.. All visited the site of the work. Davis Masonry didn't appear interested in the job, and only gave an oral "estimate" of $500. Masonry Concepts gave a quote of $650 via email but didn't describe the work he would perform. Dan Henson Masonry's email quote described in detail the work they work they would perform, but their price was $1,650. Jose Ledesma's email quote was $380, but it didn't describe the work to be performed. I emailed him a statemenr of work using the material from Dan Henson Masonry's quote, and asked him to confirm that his price includes the services described in the the statement of work. Jose promptly confirmed by email that his price included that work. Jose was able to fit my job into another more extensive job he was performing. He arrived for the pressure wash when he said he would, and performed the pressure wash first. The rest of the job was accomplished a week later when I was out of town. Jose said that when he was performing the work he found additional bricks that needed repair or replacement, and he did that work without additional charge. I was completely satisfied.

The end project was beautiful! Jose and his assistant were very professional and the work was completed in a timely manner. The price was great and the cleanup wonderful. We could not ask for anything to go any better. Highly recommend Jose.

The work looks great, and the price was fair. Jose responded quickly to my initial inquiry and came to give me a bid, but we ran into some delays when he needed to hire a new assistant. I'd have liked quicker responses to my phone calls, but I was glad to get the work done and would hire him again.

Jose was professional from the initial call. He informed me that he was very busy and booked for a few weeks. He indicated that he would try to squeeze my job in sooner. About 1.5 weeks after initial call, he called back and said he could fit me in the next day due to a cancellation. He came and did the job. He and his team was very efficient, very professional, took great care to keep my property clean before, during and after his work. The finished work is fantastic. Though the house is 17 years old, he made the new brick work look extremely close to the same as that around it, including the mortar. If I have more masonry to do in the future, I'll be calling Jose again.

I called him and scheduled an appointment to meet with him to discuss the project(building a stone wall). He arrived on time and was friendly and professional. We discussed what I wanted,and he said he could do the project. He said that he would do an estimate of the job and e-mail it to me. Several days passed and I sent him an e-mail thanking him for meeting with me and reminding him that he had not sent an estimate. I have not heard from him since. It has been more than a month since I sent the reminder e-mail.

I called Jose and outlined the problem and we made an appointment to check the work to be done, whiche we scheduled for the following Saturday. Jose arrived right on time and did the work as we had discussed. Very pleased with the results.

the repair was solid, but he failed to match the colors of the concrete between repaired stones to the previous stones on the stair and the patio. So, it looks very patchy with old grey concrete and new, whitish concrete. Seems like a solid repair but, as I had asked specifically about this issue, and he had told me he could stain the concrete to match what was there, I was a little disapointed. I guess in a couple of years this will rectify itself.

Jose was prompt for the estimate appt and was able to fit the repair work in to his existing work. He performed the work on a Saturday morning with 1 additional person. The quality of the repair work was good.
