Service started out okay, i hired True Green for airation and overseeding (Sept) , then I hired them for annual lawn service. My lawn starting looking worse and worse in about Apr/May. Today, my lawn is over-run with weeds, lots and lots of crab grass, and no service has been given to the area between my sidewalk and the street. Additionally, I have a sideyard that has about 40% grass and 60% weeds. I called 4 separate times to ask for addtional servce/help and all they did was schedule my next service call early, only once did they make an "extra" visit, that kiled about 20% of my weeds, but not much more. In my last conversation with True Green I was basically told I was wrong and it was a "proces" and the Rep from True Green said they had done their job. Please note, the person who called me had never even seen my front yard. I would not recommend anyone hire True Green for any service and will never hire them again.

Quality of work is average. The lawn has responded. Initial contact made in August 2010 and was told the annual plan was $140 but only $118 prepaid. Now in March 2011 I am receving hang up calls from Tru Green headquartes. I "googled" the phone number and found numerous complaints from other customers regarding harrassing phone calls. When I did answer the call, it asks me to wait for a customer representative (without identifying the company). I called the local TruGreen rep and they indicated that the annual plan was good for only calendar year 2010 an that the annual plan now is over $350. Too high and not what was promised. According the the local rep I have an oustanding balance of $49. Fine. Send me a bill. No bill had previously been provided because I expcected an annual pre-pay had covered it. Do not trust TruGreen.

I've been using them for 15 years, and I am always satisfied with their work. They are reliable and always leave a report once they've completed the treatment.

We have had numerous problems going back to June of 2010 as we engaged in a year of lawn service. The problems included problems with brown patches in the lawn after Tru Green treatments and/or lack of treatments. Called asked to have someone evaulate the situation it took an act of congress to get that to happen but we were assured that we would get the help with our lawn. When Tru Green started with our lawn we had by neighbors accounts the best looking lawn in the neighborhood. We watered and mowed the lawn according to the instructions of the landscaper and Tru Green but once Tru Green had been on the job for just a few months the yard was brown and pitiful. While Tru Green finally sent some folks out here to look at the lawn we have seen no improvement in what was once a beautiful lawn.

The actual work on the yard was excellent. The technicians were always very professional and polite. They wrote up a report card on the yard during each visit, pointing out both the problem areas and the improvements that had been made. My problem is with the sales staff. I'm sure they've had a drop-off in business resulting from the poor economy. But it is extremely difficult to drop servicing from this company. I originally discontinued my service in Fall 2009 just in an attempt to save a little money. They called back in the early Spring to persuade me to do a pre-emergent treatment and fertilization. I conceded, but asked that I only have *2* treatments...that I didn't want the maintenance. While it's true that if you're on a maintenance contract that the quality of the lawn is guaranteed, it wasn't worth the cost of the treatments to me *at this time.* Unfortunately, there was apparently some misunderstanding between me and the sales department and I was set up on a (admittedly limited) rotation for the rest of the year. When I realized I'd been billed for one or two additional services, I called to--again--cancel. I paid the outstanding bill and just asked to be removed from their service. I got a call from the manager who was very apologetic, which I appreciated--since some of the misunderstanding was clearly on my side. But then I got an additional call from Jason in the Trugreen office today. This call was very frustrating to me as it was phrased in very sales-oriented lingo and I felt like I was being spun. He reminded me that "although they don't have contracts" at Trugreen, they "do record calls and do a verification phone call" to make sure that the customer has approved the service. I said that my *intent* had been to schedule 2 treatments for pre-emergent and fertilizer...anything in addition had NOT been my intent...but he was welcome to review the tape. I felt that he was trying to guilt me into resuming maintenance service and *in addition* trying to sell me again on the fact that the yard was guaranteed with a maintenance contract. Again, I felt like I was talking in circles...yes, I KNOW it's a warranty. NO, I'm not interested in it. Don't call me, I'll call you. AGAIN he brought up the guarantee. Finally I put my husband on the phone to reiterate that, despite how the misunderstanding originated, I did *not want* any service at this time. Unfortunately, I won't be dealing with this company in the future. I dislike feeling like I'm being manipulated into a service agreement. I've used them for years, but no longer--and I wanted to share my experience on the Angie's List forum.

Cancelled my contract after losing too many bushes...there was always an "explanation" from there is a disease in NC killing the Indian Hawthornes (why aren't my neighbors' bushes dead?) to the plant was incorrectly planted (all my bushes must have girdled roots!) I certainly do not blame them for losing so many plants, but do think I got my money's worth. They do a great job with salesmanship but need to LISTEN to the customer better. Look elsewhere. I am.

I am disappointed because I used them for so long, and they do a good job & have professional staff.

I have been very satisfied with both areas I use them in. They have been very prompt in coming out and doing what needs to be done. They also will follow up if there is a problem.

They come on time and take care of everything. They come when we are not home and get the job done.

They did a very good job and I'm pleased with their work. They are very professional, quick and responsive. The price is very reasonable.

My wife and I are very satisfied with them. We switched to them last year and our grass is looking a lot better. They have different packages for payment. You can expect to pay between $500-$700 annually. I would recommend them to others. I like the way they work and the people in the organization that I've met.

I used them in the past, but they lost out because they didn't provide lawn service beyond just spraying the lawn. I needed more, so I found another company that could do the fertilization and the clean-up.

The price is per application. The experience was terrible. The treatment did not do much for my yard. They keep calling me. I feel they are overpriced. They came and sprayed sometimes and sometimes they didn't. They would leave a list of things that needed to be done by me. I ended up having someone else do the job. Trugreen was no help to me.

They let know when they are coming either by E-Mail of by phone. They show up as they say they will. They are very thorough and answer all my questions. They will help you in any way they can.

They always call the night before they are coming. They are very conscientious about letting you know when they are there. They also put a sign in the lawn to let us know they have been here. They are very convenient and work well with us. Our lawn also looks very beautiful.

They usually come out, treat the lawn, leave me a note of what was done, and how I need to care for my lawn based on what they did.

They do a good job and I have been pleased with the results.

Hard to see an overwhelming improvement in our lawn after just the first couple treatments, but its getting there.

They mow, they come out weekly and they also pick up leaves. They contract out the lawn mowing but there specialty is fertilizing lawns. The companies they are involved with are good as well.

The service was ok, but the salesperson was agumentative about a discount we should have received for our neighborhood. Also our dog had an allergic reaction to the chemicals he used.

They have always been very, very helpful. My lawn and bushes look great. They show up on time when they say they will and they have great employees. We don't have to be home when they do the work and leave notification on my door to let me know they've been here. I will definitely continue to use them and would absolutely recommend them!

I did not have to be home when they did perform the service, they would leave notification on the door indicating that they had been there. After a year using the company there was no improvement in the look of my lawn. Because of this I called them up and informed them that I would be canceling their service. I will not go back to them and would not recommend them to others because of this experience. The approximate cost listed was per month.

Extraordinarily professional. Very flexible. They indicate when they have been here. Good communication. Price is per year.

FERTILIZATION AND MAKING SURE THAT THE GRASS LOOKS GOOD.

Everybody was prompt and professional.
