NOT A GEEK

I called Mike and made an appointment. He came out and arrived on time, and got right to work. He was very professional, mature and friendly in a low key kind of way. His company name (not a geek) is quite appropo. It turns out that my netwrok problem was a difficult one, and it took more time than either of us thought it might. However, Mike got everything sorted out and working. He gave me a bunch of good advice and a few good but simple utility programs as well. Mike obviously knows his stuff. On this service call I also had Mike install Apple TV and he got everything working together very nicely. I should add that about 25% of the total cost included the Apple TV hardware. Unfortunately, after I installed new security software a few days later, my network problem returned. I sent Mike an email, and he called promptly. He was able to diagnose and fix the problem remotely within a few minutes at no extra charge. I would highly recommend Mike if you need any PC or network related work done and will definitely use him in the future if I need help!

In this instance, and every time I have contacted Mike, he has always tried to troubleshoot with me via e-mail before scheduling a service call. This has saved me money, and I greatly appreciate it. This time, a service call was necessary, and I was able to schedule an appointment for the following day. Mike is professional and highly-skilled in technical support and resolution. His fees are reasonable, and he is quick to respond.

Mike visited the office we were moving from so he knew what was involved from the beginning. He also visited the new space with us to see what would be required on that end. He gave us a firm quote and was on target with the estimated time to complete the work. Mike was very professional and knowledgeable. We are a growing company and were looking for someone to be our IT guy as we grow - We believe we have found him in Mike!

I called Mike, made an appointment for the following day and took my computer to him. I have used Mike in the past and have been pleased with the outcome each time. Mike takes time to explain what he feels the problem may be, then goes about fixing it. He shows you ways to better utilize your computer, in a language that you can understand. I'm far from being a computer wizard, and will no doubt be calling him again in the future.

The price was good and the service man was prompt, cooperative, helpful, and had a good attitude. After my initial report on Angie's List the owner Mike contacted me to rectify the situation. He came out and fixed the problem without any additional charge. He also refunded me my money for something he said I no longer needed. He really stands behind his work. I am very pleased.

It went great. They showed up on time, finished in a timely fashion, and the did a great job.

My computer acquired a virus that appeared to eliminate all my files. "Empty" was the message I was getting for every application. I called Mike and he came as soon as possible. Thank goodness he had recommended a backup plan during a previous house call so I was hopeful that the files could be retrieved. Mike had to take my computer for a short time but was able to undue the damage done by the virus and, as always, made the computer even better. During our house call, Mike talked about a class he is teaching at a local leaning center. The name of the class is "Technology for Smart People." This is great because we are not dummies or idiots but really, we are all people with technology coming at us way too fast. Mike, who is not a geek but a kind, very knowledgeable technician, helps to get us up and running again with what we need and want. Part of the class he will be teaching is an introduction to integrating the various media devices. Inspired by this thought, he helped me by recommending a device to stream Netflix on my television. He brought back my computer within a day, bought the streaming device, installed it and showed me how to use it. 2 happy endings came out of the service call...my computer files are in tact and I now have multiple options for viewing Netflix. Mike is great. I am so grateful for his help and attention to our multi-media needs and wants. Mike's knowledge, know how and attention to details makes using all these devices fun and stress free.

I have worked with Mike a number of times. He unfailingly provides great service, dependability and pricing. I would recommend him with absolutely no hesitation.

Mike was great to work with. When I intially called he answered immediately and we discussed the issues that I needed help with. We scheduled an appointment for the following week (due to travel schedules) and he was on time. Not only did he take care of everything on the list, but he also provided applications to help the laptops run more efficiently. And I got a great computer 101 lesson on broadband and operating systems! I would highly recommend working with Mike - he is very knowledgable, efficient, offers good recommendations and is easy going.

He was able to get my computer back to me the very next day. This is the second time I've used his services and I'll continue to use him.

"Not a Geek" is a small, home office, quite informally run. Nonetheless, the service was professional and cost effective.

I called Mike and described the issues I was having with my computer. An hour later Mike was at the house and had pretty much diagnosed my problem and resolved to fix it by the next day - which he did. I was without a computer for all of an evening. If I had tried to do this myself who knows how long it would have taken and what if anything I would have been able to salvage. I would absolutely work with Mike again and recommend him without hesitation. The only reason I have given a "good" with regard to price is because I did not have the luxury of price shopping and have no idea whether Mike's price is above, below or at market. What I can say is that it was money well spent and I feel like I absolutely got what I paid for. Thanks Mike!!!

Working with Mike is great. He's very low key, and reassuring when you have computer troubles. He has always fixed any troubles that my wife and I have had with our comuters, routers or any other attachments. He has even given reccomendations over the phone for family members looking to buy the right computer. I will not go anywhere else to have computer repaired.

this is my 2nd time using mike: both times he has been excellent he picked up computers from my house both times, fixed them within 2 days, did excellent work, and took time to explain to me how to protect my computers in the future. very reasonable prices, and VERY easy to work with, he is a good guy!

I've found Mike's skill and advice very helpful over the past five years or so. He's set up new laptops for us, making them especially easy to use, and has helped me understand some of the finer points that keep things running smoothly. His latest visit was to address several issues that were not so much serious as very irritating. He fixed these quickly and, as always, went beyond the matters immediately at hand to make suggestions that are a great help. I highly recommend him!

My life is so much better having Mike Grabowski to call for all these electronic needs. He is very kind, responsive and extremely acknowledgeable. I completely recommend him. His cost is also very reasonable. He is "Not a Geek" but let me tell you, I have had the "geeks" come and they are expensive and I didn't get the service I consistently get from Mike. It was a dark and stormy night when my 6 year old, out of date, 40 GB hard drive laptop contracted a virus. I had contacted Mike a couple of years ago (I found him on Angies List) when that same laptop had a very slow response and I was dependent on it for the first time in three years after I had purchased it. He did the best he could and returned it to operational condition. But it was slow, the hard drive was almost full and he recommended that I consider purchasing a new one. He actually recommended a reasonably priced Tosheba and said that he would purchase and configure it for me. I agreed. He purchased the one that he had recommended, was able to retrieve all of the data off of my old laptop and restore it to the new one. And he did all of this is about a day. So most of the $600 was for the laptop itself. Mike lived up to his promise to give me credit for part of what I had already paid for repairs for the configuration of the new one. I am delighted with the results. It's great to have a pc laptop that is functional, fast, and has a lot of features that are new and useful to me. I thrilled with the outcome and pleased to have a consultant like Mike to call on when troubles arise. He even secured my wireless router for me!

Mike was very responsive, prompt, fair, and professional. He knows his away around computers very well and is good at explaining things in "layman's terms". The fact that he will come to your home/business to provide his service is also very convenient and time-saving.

This was a great experience. It's always good to find a service provider who is knowledgeable, honest, efficient and happy to go beyond what's necessary. The price reflects not only Mike's great service, but $110 for an external hard drive. The one I provided was inadequate, so Mike offered to sell me one of his for what he paid, saving me a trip to the store. That's customer service! If I have a problem in the future, Mike's the guy I'm calling and I'd recommend others do the same.

Mike was on time, knowledgeable, and polite. He took the time to thoroughly explain everything I would need to know.
