Natural Home Lite

My kitchen, living room and dining area is in the back of the house and I call it my 'cave' because the exterior windows are blocked by a sunroom that was installed after the house was built. It's pretty dark even when the sun is shining. So I had them come out and give me an estimate and I schedule an install which they said would take 1 1/2 - 2 hours. On the day of the install, Alex called to let me know he was on his way. When he arrived he immediately took off his shoes before entering my house. We went into the kitchen to talk about placement of the fixture. He listened to what I wanted and worked to accommodate my needs within the limits of the structure of the ceiling's 2x4s. Once he got to work, it didn't take him very long to complete the job. He was very customer oriented and did me a favor by checking on something in the attic while he was up there (saved me having to go up there). He took pictures on his camera phone to show me what he saw up there. Now that was smart!!! When it came time to install the fixture/diffuser on the kitchen ceiling, he was very patient as I went back and forth on which of them I wanted. I am very happy with the Installer, the installation and my Solutube. Also, I found out after the initial estimate was done, that Natural Home Life installs Skylights, so as part of Alex's installation visit we were to talk about what I wanted and he would bring back the details to the office, so they could send me an estimate for that. I want a skylight installed in the Sunroom. He's very knowledgeable about skylights too and helped me decide what would be the best fit for my needs. I should have the estimate in a day or two and if the cost is right, I look forward to having Alex back at my house to do that install.

They showed up on time and finished the job in a very professional manner.

Alex came out and saw what needed to be done. He wasn't prepared for the job his first visit but his suggestions on what he needed to order saved me more money in the long run. Very friendly and did what he said he would do.

I called the company based on the great reviews - i was not disappointed. I had already purchased my tubes (simply because I had credit available at Home Depot. If I had the cash I would have purchased them from this company directly). I was looking for a company that knew about solar tubes and had installed them in a variety of situations. After an initial conversation where my questions were answered and I got an estimate, I made an appointment to have the tubes installed. It was a long process, but the work was precise, neat, and professional. The tubes look great. I will say (and this has NOTHING to do with the company) that I hated the light from the tubes initially. I was assured that I would get used to the light - they are BRIGHT - and I have and I love them now. But know that it is a bright blue-ish light (with the diffuser that came with my tubes). It was a great investment and I have no regrets. These guys know what they are doing and you'll feel good about someone cutting a hole in your roof! I was also assured that there would never be any leaks and so far so good.

It turned out great. It looks great. They made no mess and were professional. They were also prompt and efficient.

We knew we wanted a Solatube installed - it was the only thing my husband requested for our bathroom/dressing room remodel. Alex was very knowledgable and Dan did a great job installing the unit. We are still amazed after a month at the amount of light it provides; even on an overcast day! We are now considering putting a unit in our hallway!

We desperately needed additional daylight in a very dark great room and had seen this company's ad in the Angie's List monthly magazine. We made a point of looking for their booth at an upcoming home show and had a very positive and informative discussion with Alex. He came out a few days later to see our home, offer advice on the best approach, and give us an estimate. He was extremely courteous, knowledgeable, and professional, as was the installer. We couldn't have asked for a better experience! As for the SolaTubes, the light is amazing! During daylight hours we now have plenty of light to read by without turning on a single electric lamp. The light kit in the upstairs SolaTube enabled us to eliminate an overhead fixture so the ceiling is less cluttered.

Franchise owner, Mike Townsend, was very informative and quick in setting up time for on site estimate. Daniel Ponizhaylo, was on time for appointment, discussed our options in detail, did not try to sell us what we did not need, friendly. Alex Ostapouick, installer, was on time, discussed options, double checked our order, was neat, cleaned up, and friendly. A great business to work with. Definitely will use again.

This is the third house we have had Solor tubes installed in and as with every time it was very quick, realatively inexpensive and a wonderful addition to our house. They were prompt, courteous and did exactly what we had agreed on. There was no high pressure sales just showing the product and it sells itself! I strongly recommend everyone who has a dark part of their house to at least give the product serious consideration!

It was a great experience watching Dan install the Solartube. I was amazed at the difference this natural light made in my home. Two days later, it rained and there was no leak!! Anyone wanting to lighten a dark area in the home should consider the Solartube.

Alex was professional from start to finish- great communication, good explanations, good follow-up calls, prompt, polite, knowledgeable. This was the kind of company I'd like to deal with all of the time!

It went GREAT! Mike came out and gave me an estimate. Dan came out and did the installation. Everything was as they said it would be. I was told by Mike that the final price would depend on how much extra tube extension feet were needed, but I was given the price breakdown to know what to expect. Dan did a fantastic job with the installation. Both were professional and friendly. Dan put down dropcloths and cleaned up after himself. I couldn't have been more pleased. In fact, I had 3 more Solatubes installed the next month. I really like the Solatubes, by the way. They let in that additional light so you usually don't have to turn on a light switch at all (unless it's dark outside). One problem, though--and it's not really a problem, it's kinda funny--you keep thinking a light is one and you get confused trying to turn it off with a light switch when you leave the room. Or, you think you've left a light on because there's light coming from another room, when it's just the Solatube. I had a Solabube installed in a dark walk-in closet and one in a bathroom and the guy doing tiling also kept fumbling trying to turn off the "light" when he would leave. He said he made quite a few trips back to the room to turn off the light, then he'd realize it was the Solatube. Anyway, I highly recommend Natural Home Lite (and Solatubes!).

I don’t remember the exact amount I paid. At the time, I couldn’t find anyone else solar tubes which is a better product than the sun tunnel. I am very happy with how these turned out; my house is a lot brighter for having them. I discovered one problem about a year after they installed the sun tube, but everything else went well. There was a light in the way of the installer and ripped it out but I’m fairly sure he didn’t tell me about it. I would probably use this company again in the future because, overall, everything turned out well.

We bought a newer house but the kitchen was darker than we like so we had a solatube installed. I did not know where the best place to put the tube and the installer helped us know the best place to put it, which turned out to be above the kitchen. This is the third house we have put these tubes and love them!

Excellent. Natural Home Lite is a vendor for Solatube and its estimator / installer solely performs those functions. While I thought the price was high and Natural Home Lite seemed to be the only installer for Solatube in the Greater Charlotte area, I have found the product and it installation very acceptable. Currently, for year 2010 there is a federal energy tax credit for the tubes which will help some in off-setting the cost.

Everyone I dealt with was very professional. The installation only took about 2 hours and Alex left no mess whatsoever. The Solatubes are great and with the 30% off tax rebate for them, it really was worth it. They add a great deal of light to my once-dark living room. I recommend this company and product very highly.

Natural Home Lite is a consumer friendly company. Initially we asked many questions on the phone with the owner and then decided to have him come to our home for an estimate. He was extremely easy to talk to and never pressured us in any way. The expert installer was also very friendly and cooperative. We highly recommend this company.

They arrived on time, explained the process and proceeded to install the tubes-after they placed covers over my granite countertops and on my floors. Very polite, efficient and respectful. The product is fantastic. I have a very dark, interior kitchen. The lights had to be flipped on in the middle of the day but not any more. I have pools of light flooding my kitchen and my hallway, too. Alex, the installer, was poetry in motion. Excellent experience.
