MOLD ASSESSMENT GROUP LLC

We initially contacted Ron after discovering mold in our house. He advised us not to just hire a remediation company, but to have him perform tests and develop a plan so that we would save money. During this process, he was very professional and performed quality work. However, after the remediation process was complete and we were ready for "reinspection," we were suddenly surprised by the fees that would be necessary, which we thought were included in the original price. Ron became defensive and insulting over the telephone and advised us he would not complete further work unless we "treated him with more respect," so we terminated our relationship. Would advise others not to work with him in the future.

I had been getting conflicting answers and proposed solutions from several mold remediators, so I hired Mold Assessment Group to perform an independent analysis. Nick showed up and inspected the attic, including a visual inspection, a culture to determine what types of mold I had, and moisture analysis (wood in parts of my attic had upwards of 50% moisture content -- mold grows at 20% and wood is saturated at 40%). He also took air samples inside the living space to see if the mold was present there (thankfully it wasn't!). He then developed the remediation protocal and provided a list of companies that he felt did good remediation work. I hired one of them. After the remediation was complete, I had Nick come back out and perform a post-remediation visual and moisture inspection and more air samples. Everything passed, and he is working on a clearance letter to state that my attic is free of mold.

We had a faint odor of what smelled like natural gas in our basement. He came and could smell the odor as well. He sealed it completely off. He also tested our home for mold, as well.

They came out within the week, reviewed crawlspace and took two test samples. It took me contacting them to get some result information, although their contact did improve after first call. They revealed no significant issues, recommended using fans to air out and no issues from test results. Due to being in touch with a worker in the filed the response time was slower than expected, but did reply.
