Horne Heating and Air Conditioning

Our experience was very good. Steve was our first contact and he met with us twice to walk us through the process and help us select the equipment. He was professional, knew what we needed and provided us with an excellent price. Andy (the team lead) and John arrived on the scheduled date on time and worked on our system for three days. We had a complete replacement of a furnace, all the duct work, reroute of the exhaust, and installation of a new air compressor unit on a new pad next to our home. Andy and John were on time each day and at one point my wife said to me "They really keep our yard clean and are very professional." I agree. Dee was our office contact at Horne main office and she was responsive to our questions and provided excellent and timely emails with answers to our questions. Our experience was very good. We would definitely use Horne again and would have no hesitation in recommending this company.

The tech was on time, very friendly, and seemed knowledgeable. I felt the cost was a little high compared to service we had done about a year ago.

I called a few companies from Angie's list to get estimates since my heater and A/C broke in the middle of March. On Monday 3-26-2013, Steve came over and explained about different kinds of units very well and how they works. He mentioned he has a long experience with services. On Tuesday, he came back to present his quotes for four different types of units and they were too expensive to compare quotes I got from others. On Wednesday, he would like to compete others and asked me to wait his best quote via email on Wednesday. On Thursday, he sent me email that owner of his company was busy to talk and wait another day to give me quote. On Friday, I finally got his quote but not good price to consider even I gave him what kind of units and price I am looking for. If he gave me his best quote on Tuesday, I would decide it faster, got replace it within a week and did not have to spend cold weekend.

Called 9 AM to report furnace blowing cold air. Tech called 45 minutes ahead of 12:30 arrival as agreed. Diagnosed problem and replaced furnace thermocouple. Tech was highly professional and reasonably discussed expected economic life of this 26-year-old furnace, including showing inside photos of the heat exchanger. He suggesed the company website as a source of information, no hard sell. My second experiencce with Horne - definitely will use them again.

They were very professional, very efficient, and I have no complaints. I even took out a service contract with them after the guy did the service call.

Excellent service. Scheduled time and notified us who the serviceman would be. Reconfirmed appointment and called 30 mins before arrival. Prompt. Covered shoes while inside house. Got part availability and estimates while on-site. Left me with a full diagnostic document. Follow up next day. Great experience.

Service provided was very good fr the price. Especially the advice of items to watch/replace. Did not muchcare for the maintenance package presented.

I called Horne last week to make an appointment for a free estimate. Mike came and was up in my attic for quite a while. I have to admit I saw the dollar signs appear. When he was done we sat down at my dinner table and Mike gave me two estimates he had just printed out. He exactly explained how the whole process works, showed me pictures he took to help the crew visualize what needed to be done. Again I thought, "This is going to cost!!!" Was I pleasantly surprised when I saw the bottom line. Horne came in below another estimate for a York 2 ton 15 SEERS AC. On top of that, we received a $300.00 credit for being Angie's List members. The whole process made me feel like a well informed consumer. Once my husband and I decided to let Horne install our new AC, we were given a day when their technicians could come out. When we agreed, we received a detailed e-mail from Dee, letting us know who would be the lead installer and when they would show up. Brandon and John arrived on time and as promised it took them half a day The whole process of the installation was a breeze. This afternoon I was contacted again to see when I would like for the inspector to come out. I know whom i am going to call once our furnace needs to be replaced.

The technician came on time, did his work and left me a report about what was done and some suggestion about future work the unit might need soon.

I would use this company again.

I definitely plan to use the company again and to refer them to friends.

Horne Heating and Air Conditioning was really pushy. He called me three or four times that day. It was really annoying.

Horne Heating and Air conditioning provided the best service I have ever seen. We were looking to replace the ductwork in our two story home. Horne was one of several companies we contacted for an estimate. Mr. Proctor, Horne's consultant, arrived at the agreed upon time and meticuously went through the attic and crawl space inspecting and photographing the original ductwork. We then sat down to view the photos and go over his recommendations. Mr. Proctor explained where the problems were and how the new work would eliminate these. He had found a hole in the attic and said the installers would repair it at no extra cost, which they did. The estimate was just slightly higher than the other estimates, but we chose Horne and were so glad we did. The installers arrived exactly at the scheduled 8:00 AM time. They covered the floors and stairway and removed their shoes every time they came in the house. The work took two days to complete as was projected. When finished, they vacummed every bit of dust particles so you would never know anyone had been in and out of the house. On the day the county came to inspect the work, Mr. Proctor came also to make sure everything had been done to Horne's high standards. The following week a bag of cookies arrived with a note from Horne thanking us for giving them our business. Best of all, the new system works great!

The technician arrived on time,. He was very professional. Performed the service in about half hour and left.

Serviceman was on time, completed the job on time and answered all my questions in a professional manner.

They were on time, the job took three days to complete, it should have been two days, but they found they needed a special order part to fit into our older house. They found some other issues that they fixed without additional charge for labor.

Checked heating system - downstairs unit...had completely stopped working....loose wire connection found and reconnected

I did not go with Horne, but this is an outstanding company. Professional, courteous and prompt. If you are looking for several quotes for HVAC and you don't include Horne in your research, then you have made a mistake. Why didn't I go with them? Honestly, it came down to location. If we were to ever have an issue with our HVAC, Horne would have been 45 minutes away as opposed to the company we chose.

The service was really good. They called me to set up the appointment, which was nice.

My heat went out on SuperBowl Sunday, I sent a message to this company to schedule an appointment on Monday... During the Superbowl, I received a text from the owner asking me if he needed to come out that night to make sure I had heat! Great Service!!!!

I had an annual heating system maintenance performed and was advised that the heat exchanger in the unit was cracked which could cause carbon monoxide flowing into the living area. In addition I was advised that the blower motor was also defective because of bad bearings on the shaft. I was given an estimate of over 1400.00 to repair the unit. I decided that before I spend that kind of money I would get some estimates on total heating system replacement. I received 3 estimates that varied in cost by over 1000.00 for the same unit, no extras included. I decided to select the mid estimate, and I am happy that I did. All of the contact with Horne was done in a very professional manner, from the time I called to get an estimate (Saturday morning) until the unit was installed the following Wednesday. The person doing the estimating seemed to do a very thorough job in looking at the unit, taking pictures of the location (in the attic), doing the necessary measurements etc. He then presented the estimate and explained the possible options and the pros and cons of each. Once I had selected Horne (Monday AM) they advised me that the unit was available and could be installed on Wednesday AM. The install team arrived, as did the electricians, as scheduled and did the work necessary to remove the old unit and get the new one installed. The electricians found a problem with the original electrical work and corrected that. The people doing the install were very courteous and kept me up to date on the progress. They seemed to be very professional. Not only did they install a new system, they also did some work on the gas lines that was done poorly during original construction in 2004, and they installed a new drain pan and float switch. Once the system was installed they took the time to reprogram my thermostat to make sure it functioned with the new system. There was a small problem in getting the entire system working and they had to call someone at the company. When that person arrived not only did he diagnose the problem quickly, but he had also brought a new unit to install in case the original was truly defective. I think that this was beyond what I would have expected. They also left me with a brand new CO detector. I can't say enough about how pleased I am with the unit and the fact that I chose Horne to do the work.

Absolutely perfect in every way. This was our first experience using Angie's list. We were encouraged by the positive reviews that Horne received and they lived up to our expectations completely. The written estimate was done the day they were called. Very knowledgeable, very polite people. We were able to get exactly what was needed for a price that beat the competition for comparable equipment. There was no problem getting the job done quickly and exactly when we needed it. We will definately use them when the upstairs system goes out.

Horne's service technician arrived on time, was extremely courteous, and performed a thorough, professional inspection of my two heating units. I was so impressed that I contracted with Horne for their yearly service/maintenance program.

Experience was excellent. I have the same technician so I am comfortable with him in the house & he is familiar with the furnace. Very clean - booties on shoes and very polite.
