Horne Heating and Air Conditioning

The technician was friendly and helpful and most importantly, he took the time to explain what he was doing, what problems to watch for as well as what might be causing them, and suggestions for how to prolong the life of the existing A/C units. He pointed out some of the issues he observed that did not require immediate attention but could cause a problem down the road. He also explained ways to save money both in the short term as well as what we might expect in terms of how much longer the existing A/C units could be considered reliable before requiring replacement. Finally he gave us an idea of what kind of work we may require down the road and what it might cost so we can budget appropriately. The education provided by the technician was worth as much as the maintenance work that he performed. It was not a sales pitch for future service, but an honest, helpful response to our questions.

Very nice man, very informative told my husband things to look for next time if needed. We will definitely be calling you for any problems we encounter.

He arrived on time. Was neat and found a problem with the furnace vent which he was unable to correct, it was fastened on the roof by roofers, but took a picture which I was able to send to the roofing company and they corrected that same day. I was very pleased.

My experience with Horne Heating and Air Conditioning was okay. They tried to fill me apart but I don't think I needed the repair. It wasn't bad but it wasn't wearing out. They were very courteous. I think I would use them again in the future.

Jon Horne was the first contact, on time, and very knowledgeable about what we had and what we needed. He gave us many options for the job and gave us great advice for our decision.

Doug arrived very promptly at 10:30 AM. He was here for approx. 1.5-2 hrs. We had to cut the padlock off the entrance to under the house - couldn't find our key! Was unaware when ordering coupon that I needed 2 - 1 for each unit. No problems. I reprinted the coupon & all was good. Very nice guy!

Advised that freon was low, advised that we use a different type of air filter; offered an opportunity to purchase contract for return visits; replaced depleted freon in upper unit and changed all air filters.

I made a service call on Monday afternoon and the technician showed up Tuesday morning. I explained what I was experiencing. Patrick was friendly and knowledgeable about the system. Within a few minutes of arrival he identified that the cause of the lack of cooling was due to the unit being low on Freon. He provided three options for resolution. I chose to recharge only given the age of the unit and the fact that the apparent leak seems to be very slow (the last recharge was two years ago). There was no pressure to do otherwise. This was a very pleasant service call. Will likely use them again.

5:00 appt 9:25 arrival Doug was late getting there, but once he was there, he took his time and made suggestions to save me money. Good guy.

The service went well. They stayed longer and talked me to a part that was rusted and getting ready to give out. The experience was excellent. They are a very good company. I really like the fact that they came out. They were on time, polite, and showed identification. I would gladly use them again.

We purchased an Angie's List Big Deal coupon for service through Horne Heating and Air. Trey Kerr arrived at the appointed time and was personable, knowledgeable and professional. He was thorough in his work and in his recommendations and spent time explaining the status of our unit and what and when to expect from it in the future. Would definitely consider using their services again.

I called HORNE early in the morning on May 30 to ask for help because my AC would not turn on. I was told that they would try their best to come the same day. However I was called in the afternoon to be informed that unfortunately they could not come but would be sending their technician the next day. Mike called me the next morning to tell me that he was on his way and would be there in 15 minutes. He came, did an evaluation of what was wrong and found out the switch was no longer working. Mike put in a new switch and he was on his way. The whole thing took about 45 minutes. My AC was working again and I was happy.

Great job. Unit was freezing up. Prior service company said unit had slow leak and would need replacement in 1-2 years. Called Thursday afternoon, technician arrived Friday morning. I actually missed initial call from technician. When I called back he was still in the area and was able to stop by. Billy was friendly, professional and efficient. Went over options and let me make decision. Left materials on service contract but not pushy at all. Even waited as I printed $30 off coupon from AL. Will definitely call again.

Apparently I have a leaking coil with cost to repair of $2000 but the company is very hard sell (not the repairman himself), even suggesting that I might want to buy an entirely new unit.

Very nice people to deal with. They diagnosed the problem on Friday ($90.00 charge, a little more than others but ok) and ordered the part which was covered under warranty. On Monday the part was delivered to my house and the service tech installed the part that day. Good communication, they kept me posted on when the tech would arrive etc.The only real problem that I had with this was the cost to install the motor. $363.00 less $30.00 Angie's List Coupon for less than one hour's time to install the motor. I found this cost to be excessive.

I purchased this Big Deal for $69.00 for Horne Heating and Air to perform an A/C tune-up. They came out quickly and was on time. I was so pleased with their service. He was professional and he offered explanations with everything he did. He went outside and also checked that unit. He was very polite and we had a great conversation and I really enjoyed his company, very wonderful person. Would definitely hire again in the future.

I called Horne around 9 AM. I knew that I needed a new air conditioner. They sent Mike to my home that same day at 11AM. He is one of their heating and cooling consultants. He was very thorough. He took pictures and he walked me through what he saw in detail and discussed several options for a replacement. I selected a unit and we got the install scheduled for two days later. The installers came. The lead was Mark. Mark and team were prompt, polite and quick. They took great care to not make a mess and to clean up when finsished. They completed the job in around 5 hours. It was a simple and painless process but most of all it was quick. With the temperatures rising I did not want to be without air conditioning.

I informed them that one of the units was not working. I was able to use the coupon for part of the service. The servicemen came out on time and completed the work. I am pleased with the outcome.

The technician was efficient and even put up with our very friendly dogs.

I have a yearly service agreement with Horne Heating and Air. I have used them for the past eight years and highly recommend their company for good and prompt service.
