Very professional and personable. Came, did the inspection and tune-up. Very satisfied.

se. Tune up was done but it did not seem to be through. Tech suggested a replacement of a motor fan and was asked to call or e-mail the estimate. Had to call again to request the estimate. The estimate was submitted . Received a call and was told that the part was received and the tech was in the area and can come and replace the damaged one. I was out of town and no one was at the house. Could not get a future appointment because it seems that the company do the service only on their convenience and not the customer. They do the service only if they happen to be in the neighborhood.

My experience with them was fine. I actually signed up a service contract with them. The technician seemed very confident. He was on time. He seemed to do a good job.

The representative did the job he was sent to do. He tuned up the gas-pack heater/A.C., found a part that needed to be replaced, and did so quickly. He also offered some good tips on saving money on heating. It was an all-around pleasant experience (except for finding out I needed to pay for a new part, but that's my problem, not theirs).

The service call and work performed by Jason went extremely well..and I can't stress that enough! Jason did a fabulous job and was committed to get our heater working again. So, here's what happened. Many weeks ago, we started using the heater. We noticed an odd smell and thought that because we had not used either the a/c or heat for quite a while, it was normal and would go away. But it didn't and actually got worse. So it checked all of the floor vents and found nothing. Then, I decided to check the crawl space where our ductwork was. Sure enough, one of the soft duct line was sagging and as I pushed on the bottom, it felt heavy. At this point I turned off the heater. I called Horne and was told that they did not have a tech available but as soon as they could, someone would be out. In the meantime, my husband comes home from work,cuts the duct open and a bunch of water comes out. Shortly thereafter Tammy called us to say we would have a tech by the afternoon. So, Jason arrives from Huntersville and we go through the scenario. He immediately went to find the problem. Well, turns out that the drain tube at the bottom of the air handler had not seated properly and that they had seen this before. In fact Horne was working on a solution to solve this issue and recently had done so. Parts and ductwork were replaced. Jason did a great job! In fact, everyone from Horne, that we spoke to were very understanding and helpful. They knew we did not have heat and took that very seriously. In short, the problem was solved and both my husband and I are very thankful that Horne is a trustworthy and reliable company!

I called to make an appointment for service to find out that the coupon purchased covers only half of the work needed.

Excellent service from start to finish. The service advisor was able to answer all questions. The crew was considerate and professional. The area was left immaculate. Started and finished on time.

I set the date 2 weeks in advance since they were hit hard by a few cold days which shook everyone into calling the furnace company. The technician showed up exactly at the time of the appointment, and he promptly put on some liners over his boots for cleanliness, then proceeded with a well practiced and excellent description of what he was about to do. I was impressed that he was so well trained in how to deal with customers. I can tell the management team that this guy followed the script and I felt very comfortable. We went in the furnace room where he promptly told me that I had two units (I had just moved in and what do I know?). I was concerned that he would ask some outlandish price for the second one since I used the good price from angies list coupons. He just made a quick call and they told me to just go online again and get a second coupon ($69 bucks for the inspection). He went out and checked out the condensers, and then told me the age of both units for my reference. He did not try to sell me any extras but I had some minor leak in the coolant system so that cost $100. He did ask if I wanted to have the dryer vent cleaned on a separate call which I said no.

We had some initial issues with the responsiveness in getting answers on some specific questions in regards to our quote. As soon as we voiced this to Dee in the office, they were very quick to address our concerns. Mike Gaire was able to provide us with a very clear and detailed quote and answer each of our questions. He was very knowledgeable and after our meeting we felt confident in our purchase with them. Nothing in life is perfect. We have unfortunately found it quite commonplace for companies these days to be dismissive of a customer's concerns and you feel like just another number on their list. Very surprising in this economy. This was definitely not the case with the Horne Team. For example, we were initially told it would take one day to do the job and I took off of work with that understanding but found out later that with the duct work it would actually take two. They approved two teams to work on our install to make sure I did not have to take another day off of work. Also, because of any inconvenience due to initial miscommunications they even gave us two surge protectors and an extra carbon monoxide detector at no cost to us. Any problem we had they went over and above to solve and make us happy. They work together as a team to solve any problems that may arise quickly and are very professional. They did a great job on our install. The installation teams were professional, courteous and cleaned up our home and yard as if it was their own. We are very happy with our new heating and air system. As a matter of fact, it just passed county inspection today. We would not hesitate to recommend them to any of our friends or neighbors. We feel that these are all the things that make a good company a great one!

The technician recommended several things that I should get to enhance safety in my home such as a fire extenguisher, carbon monoxide dector and to have my dryer vent cleaned. These were recommendations to improve energy efficiency in my home. There was no pressure to sell me any of these items or to perform the service. That impressed me greatly. I trusted him completely.

Horne has been maintaining my A/C and heater units for the past 2 years. They are honest, reliable, and do professional work. The repair man takes his time tuning up my two units which takes him at least 3 hours. Ever since maintaining my A/C units with Horne, I have not had to add coolant which had been a normal occurance in past years.

We called Horne to perform routine winter service on our furnace. When Mike arrived we told him we were having issues with downstairs furnace not consistently coming on when the thermostat indicated it should. He diagnosed the problem and determined a new inducer assembly was needed. He waited at our house while the part was delivered, and then installed and tested it to ensure the furnace was working properly. Since this was an unexpected expense he called the office and received authorization to invoice us for the part and labor because we were a regular customer.

They were not pushy. The gentleman was very thorough, honest and answered all my questions I had. I was very impressed. Scheduling was great and I would recommend their services to others.

Mike Borum was the tech that came to service my heating system. He was on time, courteous and professional. I would recommend this company based on his service

They charged me $180 to look at both of my units, and the tech said it was a motor problem. I asked them for an estimate to fix the ductwork & replace the furnace, and he said it would be about $11,000; they also weren't going to apply the $180 inspection fee to the installation fee. I got some other quotes, and found someone else to install the exact same model for $6,300. This company was nice, but they were expensive; I feel like they were trying to nickel & dime me.

Jason, the HVAC technician, called prior to arrival and arrived on-time as scheduled and inspected both furnace units. Jason was very friendly and informative about proper maintenance for my units.

Had called Horne out previously to service my AC unit. They were able to come out the next day and quickly repaired it, but I discussed some of the units issues with the service technician. After discussing with my wife, we decided to replace the HVAC from the original builder-grade equipment. From researching, I knew I wanted to go with Trane equipment, so looking at the Trane-certified dealers in the area, I selected three to provide quotes including Horne. Only two of the quotes were competitive, Horne and one other. Both suggested similar equipment at a similar price, but ended up selecting Horne for a number of reasons: 1) Their comfort consultant (Mike Proctor) was awesome. He was very patient, listened to all my questions and concerns, and answered them honestly and straightforward. 2) What they told me and suggested was backed up by what I researched online (YMMV). 3) They did suggest a slightly higher-end thermostat and some other extras that were basically paid for by rebates and other combo packages from Trane. 4) They also gave me a discount for the parts used on my previous AC repair, about $200. With all that in mind, we chose Horne. Mike and the business office were very helpful in working out the installation and finance (36mo no interest through Trane/Wells Fargo), and we had an installation date within a week. The day of the install the crew showed up on time at 8am, but I had to delay them an hour due to a dentist appointment. They took it in stride and got to work at 9am when I returned. The worked quickly and, to my surprise, had both units (Heating and AC) replaced by mid-afternoon, saving the new return and duct work for late in the day. Since this was in my home office, it was the only part of the install that actually interfered with my work... but they were quick and, like I said, scheduled for when it would least impact me. The installer then walked me through the systems and the high points of operation and maintenance. A couple of days later, the Mike came back to review the installation and agreed that everything looked good. Overall we are very happy, both units are functioning great (about 2 weeks in), and I love the new thermostat (wi-fi, programmable, etc. etc.).

All OK. Offered some up-sell items which I expected, but he was NOT pushy which I appreciated. Left brochure for future consideration. Good job. Recommended.

LOVE LOVE LOVE - Horne Heating and Air. Doug called me 30 minutes prior to his arrival in order for me to meet him at my residence. He was on time and spent over an hour checking the system to make sure everything was working. He even went the extra mile to clean my washable air vents which were filthy! He was very professional and polite. I would definately will use Horne Heating and Air in the future!

The installation went smoothly. The crew was professional and courteous. They cleaned up their mess at the end of each day. After the installation, we discovered that the system needed to be adjusted and a few parts "tweeked". Jon Horne personally came out to our house, inspected the system and then had one of his best crews finish our system and tune it so it worked great. We couldn't be more please with our purchase and the trust and service that Horne Heating and Air provides to us. We purchased the yearly check up program and plan on using them for our gas fire place in the future.

The tech explained what he was doing any why. He warned me of issues that may happen in the next few years since my until is 14 years old. For what he had to do the cost of that vs. a package it would cost more so he suggested to get a package which comes with a 2nd inspection.

He was very nice, was pretty insistent that I need to replace my heater which I know is true but I cannot do right now. He was pleasant and seemed trustworthy.

We had our A/C inspected by Horne. They found a broken coil a leak and other r problems. They suggested to us to a get a new system since this one was already past its prime (13y) and still using the older type of Freon which its not made anymore, so refilling it would be very expensive. They were very informative, they gave us multiple estimate on different system setups and answer all of are questions.They did not hurry us to any make any decision. I did my own research for a week or two , I called them multiple times to ask question and get different quotes on different systems they were very pleasant and informative. I finally decided to go with them on the higher end Trane system. it was going to take a week before any one could come over and install it, so they brought over a portable A/C for us till the new system was installed. When it came time to install the were on time very professionally and answered all of are question and cleaned up and removed the old System . They also did all of the paper work to get us are rebates from duke and the paper work for the County. After the installation was finished the A/C work perfectly. They came back a week later with an inspector to look at the work they did and it was passed by the inspector. All in all it was a very good experience they basically took care of everything for us. I thought the high end system might be too high of a price but after i got my electric bill I knew it was the right decision my bill went up only by 16.00 dollars ( I run my A/C at 78 degrees thought ). Defiantly go with Hrone for any A/C Problems.

Jason, helped us, he quickly found the problem, and told me what needed to be done, explaining everything, and answering my questions. The parts were ordered and he called to come and install them. He was very professional and I was impressed with his knowlege, skill, and completed work.
