Description of Work: Actual person answered the phone when I called for service at 7:15am!! Tenant had no heat (they said).. Horne had to call very difficult to reach tenant several times to get appointment. Met them the next morning, thoroughly checked out the system, found (along with me) tenant was leaving at least 7 of their heat ducts closed, therefore no air. Pressure tested the unit, ascertained the thermostat functionality. Very courteous and professional..

Description of Work: They came out and fixed an overflow that was being caused by a buildup of algae. It was not totally fixed the first time but when they came back a second time, they determined there would be no charge for that service. To me, that signified really good customer service. It was how I would expect to be treated by a company that has very good customer service. Bravo, Horne!

Description of Work: I had them come out and check my gas pack because it was not turning on. A few weeks later, I had them come out and reattach a duct under the house. Also at that second visit, I had them replace a noisy fan in the gas pack. The serviceperson was wonderful. He explained things clearly, did not pressure me, talked me out of more expensive options, and was punctual and professional.

Description of Work: They replaced my A/C and furnace. They were so busy that the next installation appointment was a week away. In the meantime, Horne provided a portable A/C unit for the master bedroom so I could be comfortable enough to sleep. The install team was amazing, fast, polite, and cleaned up both inside and outside the house.

Description of Work: Replaced a warranted part. Estimate for repair was $100-250. Tech, Jason, (who I find professional, punctual and knowledgable) was here less than an hour. My bill was for $255. I called the Horne office twice - June 22 and June 30 to discuss bill because I felt that $255 was excessive for less than an hour's work. I was told that Chris Horne would call me back both time. He did not. On July 7, I emailed Mr. Horne. On July 8, he responded saying he was very busy and he would get back to me in a few days. As of August 24 - no response. | |Background: We purchased 2 new Trane systems from Horne in June 2013 for more than $20,000. We experienced our first "failure" with one of the systems in Sept 2014. Horne did eventually fix that problem without additional charge after we agreed to sign up for an annual service contract. However, they blamed the problem on the fact that we hadn't had annual service on the 14 month old system, when in fact, the problem was due to improper installation and a failure of part of the Trane system.

Description of Work: Remove old gas furnace and heat pump. Replace with Trane VS dual fuel system with surge protection. Remove old equipment from premises. Install new thermostat. Test system. Train us on how to use thermostat. Help us connect thermostat to our Wi-Fi and the internet. | |The entire experience was as we have come to expect from Horne. The consultant had a cancellation the day we were scheduled for an estimate so he called and was able to come early. He spent almost two hours with us, walking through the house, examining equipment, and answering all our questions. He provided us with numerous options and by questioning us narrowed us down to the two configurations that seemed most suitable to our needs and desires. A few days later, when I started to balk at the price, he suggested staging the work over multiple years, since the ductwork was still serviceable and zoning could be added later. He also addressed all the concerns that I raised after trolling the internet and reading other homeowner's experiences. | |The day of the install the crew arrived on time. It was the first day of the heat wave where temperatures were flirting with 100. They worked until 5:30 without stopping to ensure we had A/C before they left. They cleaned up thoroughly. Horne scheduled the county inspection for the following week and were on site for the inspection so they could immediately address any issues the inspector raised. The system has performed as described (or better) and we are completely satisfied.
