Global Turf Irrigation

Walt came out within the agreed upon time frame with a crew of 3 (including Walt). I pointed out a couple of issues that I observed. The crew ran through the zones, made several adjustments to sprinkler heads, and noted issues with several sprinkler heads. Walt did a good job explaining what was in good shape versus areas that had some issues. Walt suggested removing one of the sprinkler heads because all it was doing it striking water against some rose bushes. This sprinkler head was positioned by the builder irrigation subcontractor before the landscaping was in place. I agreed that it was best to remove the sprinkler head in this location and to assess later whether another irrigation option was needed. I decided that it was time to replace several of the sprinkler heads in various zones that were not working well (gears not rotating, leaks, etc). I paid $49 for the Big Deal and $200.00 for the additional work. I consider this a fair price and was happy with the service. I plan on using Global Turf Irrigation in the future for irrigation.

This was a special promotion on Angie's List. Most of these companies get overwhelmed with responses. However, I have to say that Walt was there within 3 days after my purchase. He called me on a Friday morning and was there within the hour for the appointment. He addressed all of my concerns. Most importantly, he did not try to talk me into something I did not need. He was very familiar with my subdivision and the water pressure in the area. I would certainly use him again.

Although Walt did make some changes of some rotor heads and took one solenoid apart he did not charge me for that work which many other contractors would (and have). He was very knowledgeable of manufacturers good and bad. He even said he would come back to try and repair on solenoid which appeared to be leaking. I have decided that he is a well kept secret and I will be providing him all of my future work. At last someone who knows what he is doing and is interested in building a healthy customer base.

They did a top notch job. The grading will need to be revisited later after settling has happened, but they really got my yard looking great with what they had to work with. Walt has been out to adjust my sprinklers and has also showed me how to do it on my own so that I can make small changes whenever I need to. I strongly recommend working with Walt. His team is professional and he's extremely competitively priced.

They came on time and did a good job. The price was good.

Very well. He stayed only a few minutes and correctly diagnosed the problem. Walt knows his stuff and I will continue to use him. He put in my system about thirteen years ago and did an excellent job. You can trust him to do good work.

There was confusion and disconnection on what is in the quote at beginning, but Walt called and solved the issue in a quick and professional fashion, I am happy with Walt?s work, thanks.

Global Turf Irrigation performed the services in a timely and professional manner. They provided me daily progress updates and were very patient with me as I changed my mind various times as to the layout of the sod and pine needle coverage. They guys also accommodated special requests such as moving heavy rocks and extending my drip line. Ultimately, I was very pleased with the crew, cost and the quality of work performed.

I am very happy with the results from Global Turf. From the initial visit to performing the job, Walt and his staff were very professional, made suggestions and brought excellent ideas to the table. In the end I had a nice sodded yard since I had them do over 7500 sq feet of fescue. They removed all the nasty straw the home builders left in there, installed 6 zones of irrigation, and started the huge sod project. I had neighbors even ask for quotes due to the quality work Walt and his team done in my yard. The trees and plants were all planted on the last day with mulch and everything just compliments my new home. Im very happy with the project and will have Walt and his team add LED lighting. His team is very knowledgeable and can provide you with very awesome results. Put it this way; landscaping can be expensive, but Global Turf does provide you with a lot of Bang for your Buck. I was very impressed by the work performed by Walter and his team. He finally made my landscape and lawn look green. First of all he quoted good price for Sprinkers, Landscape and Vegetable garden area. Installed the way we discussed. He is very knowledge and helped me understand some of plants and its benefits during the job. I'll recommend Walter to friends and neighbors.

I called three different companies in order to obtain estimates during the peak landscape season. Walt (owner) was the only one to return my phone call within 24 hours, and yet he returned in within an hour. One company called back 36 hours later and left a message that they would charge a fee of $300 for the visit and I am still waiting on the third. ( The third company also installs pools and I left word that we might be interested in speaking with them about a pool next spring and yet still didn't call. Must not need business). Walt came out very quickly gave us the estimate and despite our calling at the busiest time of the year, he gave us an installation date very quickly. We had also asked him about a standing water problem in the side yard and contracted him to install a French drain and drains out to the road. Walt and his time showed up on time when promised and worked hard. Loved that all work was performed by himself and his team and he was on site the entire time to supervise. They had to really tear up the yard in order to accommodate the new drainage system and because of all the junk left in the ground from our home builder but when they left it looked clean and put back together. I appreciate Global Turf because they treated us as if our business and satisfaction mattered to them. Walt was very conscientious about checking in with us several times during the installation and keeping us updated on progress. Cannot write enough good things, feel that they were an excellent choice for us. If I ever move in Charlotte again, I would not hesitate to use Global Turf.

Poor customer communication and response. Apparently his work product is great, but we'll never know since he could never confirm anything with us. Not a way to run business and I've now wasted a week when I could have gotten someone else to do the repair.

The day we called him he was doing work near our house so he was able to come out the same day. He was very nice and responsive. We will definitely use him again.

Walt put in my system in 2001, and I have been his customer for routine maintenance since then. He came by today to fix a leaky valve in my system. Because his business is seasonal and everyone wants him to fix a problem quickly, and because we have had excessive rain in our area for the past month, Walt could only come about a little more than a week after I called him. That was not a problem for me because the leak was not substantial. A couple of years ago, I was putting in steel bordering to keep dirt from our flower beds from spilling over onto our cement patio and pool sidewalk. While doing so, I punctured a couple of irrigation lines. I called Walt and told him that I had an emergency that prevented me from using my irrigation system during the drought we were having. Even though Walt was very busy, he came by the next day and fixed both problems. That's good customer service. It took Walt about thirty minutes to identify and fix today's problem. He is honest and professional, and I will continue to use him to maintain my irrigation system. He is a good guy who will treat you right.

It went very well. He was competent, polite, and effective. The system was up and running very quickly and is still functioning properly.

Called Walt at Global Turf Irrigation on Saturday afternoon, expecting to leave a message and hope for a call back on Monday morning. To my delight, Walt picked up the phone and I told him that I had a leak in my irrigation system, which had caused part of my lawn to puddle up with water. Even though he was not "working" on Saturday, he still came by to make sure we could at least get the water turned off to the irrigation system to stop the leaking water. He stopped the leaking and then returned early Monday morning to fix the issue. The work was completed completely and quickly. The price he charged was more than fair. I'm new to the area and very happy to have Walt as my "Irrigation Guy".

We called Global Turf Irrigation because we had been told we had a leak in our irrigation system. Walt came out to try to identify and repair the leak. He actually discovered that the leak was in the water line from the street to the house. He repaired this line and even with all the heavy rain we have had over the past month we are seeing our yard slowly dry out. He was careful to not make a hugeness in the yard as there was quite a lot of mud and wet soil that was removed to identify the leak. He arrived on time and has stopped by several times to check to make sure the leak has been repaired. We would recommend Walt and his company.

As usual, Walt's work was first class.

It went great. When I called some one actually answered the call and it was him and not an answering service that does know anything. The appointment was fast and he even arrived sooner . He seemed honest and very professional, he also had what he needed with him unlike previous people. The work was done fast and was not over charged. He did make other recommendations but was not trying to force it. Over all great person and will use him again. Thank you Walter.

Very relaxed job atomosphere, all work performed on time and as stated. Most important a perfect layout for water coverage.

They were quite good with the overall service that they provide. I would use them again in the future.

Nothing but good things to say. He used higher quality parts and products. He was also professional, reliable, and did very good follow up on call backs. And he was quick, but the most notable quality that's worth mentioning is his attention to detail. He came out a couple weeks later to adjust some heads at no cost. He's just a really good guy, and did a great job of working me into his busy schedule.

WALTER INSTALLED OUR SPRINKLERS A FEW YEARS AGO AND WHEN NEWER VALVES WERE AVAILABLE FOR HILLY TERRAIN, HE CAME BACK AND REPLACED THEM ALL. HE ALSO OPENS AND CLOSES OUR SYSTEM EACH YEAR. WE HAD SOME PROBLEMS WITH SOME LEAKY HEADS, AND HE FIXED THEM. THE ONLY THING IS, HE''S NOT GOOD ABOUT TOUCHING BASE WHEN HE''S COMING, BUT IT''S MORE IMPORTANT THAT HE SHOWS UP!

VERY PLEASED. THE JOB WAS COMPLETED AS EXPECTED WITH ALMOST NO DISTURBANCE TO THE LAWN. VERY PROFESSIONAL AND COURTEOUS. ALWAYS RETURNED MY PHONE CALLS AND ANSWERED ALL MY QUESTIONS IN DETAIL.

THEY REALLY DID A GREAT JOB AND WERE FLEXIBLE. THEY MADE THE CHANGES THAT WE WANTED.
