Late June/Early July
Initial appointment with Kevin Flick in late June or very early July; he takes window measurements, and peels sample of window tint off of one of the two windows that has tint on them so they can match the tint. He says he'll call next day to confirm the pricing quote, and take the official order.
July
After not hearing back, about 10 days later, I call Kevin, to which he responds (after a minute of clearly realizing he's dropped the ball on my order) "Oh, I was going to call you tomorrow, I left your phone number in the office." ??
August
Monday, August 4th: Installers show up an hour late, which means I have to reschedule, as I have an appointment I have to get to. When I asked them why they were an hour late, they said they were "not sure why someone would have set it up for 8am, there's no way we'd get here by then," since they don't report to work until 7:30, then they have to load the truck and drive to the work location.I call the office later that day, talk to someone there and reschedule the installation for 8/6
Tuesday, August 5th: Someone calls me from the office to say they need to reschedule the missed call from 8/4, even though I've already rescheduled it.
Wednesday, August 6th: Different installers show up on time, tear both windows out and apart before they realize that 1) both windows are tinted (only one was supposed to be) and 2) one of the windows is the wrong size. They are able to pull the tint off the correctly measured window and replace it, but have to reassemble the still-broken window that was mis-measured and put it back. During this process, they lose the home alarm magnets attached to that window, so now I have a window that 1) is half covered with tint, 2) my home alarm for that zone doesn't work.
Wednesday, August 13th: Around 10am - Having not heard anything, I call the office and talk to Terry, the scheduler, who says the replacement window is in, they just have to get it tinted "unless I don't want it tinted." (???) During this call I let Terry know that the alarm isn't working and, when they come out to replace the window, they need to bring magnets to repair that; he says he's made a note of that.
Monday, August 25th, 4:20pm: - Leave message for Terry, as I haven't heard anything.
Thursday, August 28th - return call from Terry, we scheduled install for Tuesday, 9/2 at 1:00pm.
September
Tuesday, Sept 2nd, 1:10pm: - installers arrive, without magnets for window alarm I'd requested. As well, the replacement window is, once again, the wrong size. Job still not complete. I ask installers who the office manager is, they tell me Margo is who I would need to speak with.
Tuesday, Sept 2nd, 2:10pm: I call and ask for Margo, get her voice mail, leave her a message asking her to call me back.
Sunday, Sept. 7th: Send email to Binswanger general email given on the website, attached this history (through Sept 2), letting them know that I'm going to file BBB complaint if I don't have a firm path to resolution by Wed, Sept. 10th.
Monday, Sept 8th: Received a call at 8:43AM from Kevin Flick (as well as an email that I found later) saying they can install new glass on Tuesday, 9/9. I call him back, and we schedule install for Thursday, 9/11 at 1:00, as that's my earliest availability. Reminded Kevin of the alarm magnets as well, which he didn't know about (even though I had documented it in the email I sent on the 7th). He said he'll make sure the alarm magnets will be repaired as well as the window on Thursday.
Thursday, Sept. 11th: Two installers arrive pretty much on time, around 1:10, and finish the window repair. They did not have the alarm magnets, though, as Kevin promised they would. I'm not going to worry about the alarm magnets, though, as I'm just Binswanger-weary. I'll figure those out on my own. Needless to say, I will never work with Binswanger again in Charlotte if I can help it.

- Several days later (week or so) Kevin calls and leaves me a voice mail to get my CC#. We play phone tag for a day or two, so his last voice mail tells me to call the office, which I do, and was able to give someone (a lady) my CC#. Kevin calls me again a day or two later to get my CC#. ??
- About two weeks later, I get a call from window tint guy to say he needs to get a sample, even though Kevin took a sample of the tint when he originally measured it during original appointment 3-4 weeks earlier. This gentleman came out later that day to get another sample, even though Kevin had taken one previously.
- A week or so later (July 29th or 30th), I get a call from scheduler; we set up install for 8:00 AM on Monday morning, August 4th

We ordered a door from Binswanger Glass #122 off Graham St. on Feb. 26, 2014. Our quoted price was about $385 and some change and told the door would be installed in 6-8 days. Our sales agent was Albert Serrano and he repeated failed to stay in communication. I sent two emails requesting an update on the status of the door once on March 6th and the other on March 11th -to which Albert never responded to either!! I finally called and was told he should be there in 6 to 8 days!!!! Wow! The door was FINALLY installed (unannounced to me) on March 19th! The bill read - $394 and some change!! I told him when I called and spoke to Albert -I requested a discount to our bill due to the lack of communication AND the delay in delivery/installation of the door - BUT of course never heard back from Albert after he said he'd check and get back to me!!! The glass installer then made a couple of calls and someone approved a discount!! So while the service provided was extremely poor, I am at least happy they accommodated a discount for us!

(I had called another glass company, they came out to measure the window which they said they could do from the outside. I waited a few days for them to come out. Then I waited a day for them to call me after they measured. Only to say, they couldn't get a good measurement because the screen was in the way. By this time, I really needed to get the window fixed because I was getting an appraisal of my house in about 5 days time. I called Binswanger Glass and they said if my husband would bring it down, they would take the measurement right then and order the glass. They measured the glass, ordered it and it came in a few days later. My husband took the window back down to their business where they installed it and now I'm back good as new and cheaper than the other company. BUT, the other company was coming to me, but I still save about $70.

I called for an estimate on the previous afternoon and made an appointment. They were ready to start as soon as I got there. They estimates 1 or 2 hours to replace the window. It took 1.5 hours. The price charged matched the estimate to the penny. Later that day I ran the truck through a car wash to verify there was no leaking and the new window was fine. Excellent experience in every way.

They were wonderful and really good. They really had their act together, their prices were good and they were very professional. I asked them if they would replace a 4 feet by a foot wide glass and he said he would throw that in and the whole thing was $80. I can?t say enough good stuff about them. I spent about $2400 on the last job. It was somewhat an unusual job, but they did a beautiful job. They found a type of glass that another company told me wasn?t available. They were very professional and a year later when the door got a little bit crooked, they came out and straightened it. They did a little bit of additional work to make the door work better. They never charged me for it and it had a full warranty for a year. They have been very prompt and lovely to deal with. The price was terrific compared to other estimates. They stand behind their work and were very good to deal with.

My son had a piece of loose molding on his windshield. We called and made a same day appointment. My son waited about 20 minutes for the work to be done. The technician offered a "quick fix" for free and described the cost and timing for a more comprehensive solution. We chose the free quick fix.

I have a 1999 Volkswagen Passat. I had a leak at the top of the A pillar on the driver's side. I called and was able to get an appointment the same day. I arrived on time and was seen right away. They worked on the car for about 20 minutes. They found a leak at a body seam and sealed it from both the inside and the outside. I have not experienced a leak since. I also wanted to change some trim pieces next to the windshield. They did not carry the parts. But, they told me how to change them out myself once I ordered the parts from the dealer. Their instructions were right on the money. I'm very happy with their service.

The company sent someone the next morning to the parking lot where I work. The gentleman was punctual, efficient and courteous. The repair price was the most reasonable of three companies I received quotes from. The highest quote for the exact same work was $125, which is a big difference! The offfice person who took my request was also very courteous and asked specific questions to ensure I could repair the windshield and would not have to replace. They offered to file insurance, which was not necessary because of my deductible.

They told me they'd match or beat any other price I found and they did. They replaced the windshield at my husband's place of employment and they did a good job for us.

It went very fine. There was no problem and we were well satisfied. I got an estimate from several companies and they were the lowest. They were neat and cleaned up after themselves well.

The windshield in my Kia Sedona needed to be replaced due to a rock chip that was slowly spreading. The worker called ahead to say he was about 30 mins. away and showed up as scheduled. He was very competent and extremely friendly while he worked. The job was completed in about an hour and no problems were encountered that I'm aware of.

They came when they said they would. John was the tech, he explained everything he was doing and was very professional. Their office manager really rides hard on people to make sure they do a good job, and it shows. He let me watch and explained everything he was doing, which was fascinating.

I HAD CALLED TO SEE ABOUT HAVING AN OVAL TABLE MADE, AND THEY WANTED TO KNOW IF I WANTED A SPECIFIC TYPE OVAL. THEY HAD SAID IF I DIDN'T CARE ABOUT WHETHER IT WAS A RACETRACK SIZE, THEY HAD A CUSTOMER WHO'D CANCELLED AND THEY COULD SELL THE TOP TO ME AT A DISCOUNT IF I WAS INTERESTED. I SAVED $300-400 ON THE PRICE BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T TRY TO SELL ME ON A MORE EXPENSIVE OPTION. THEY WERE VERY NICE.
