Description of Work: I am a property manager and have used B&E for numerous repairs in the management of 5 residential units. They are reliable and professional. Most important, I believe they are honest. My only caveat is that their prices seemed to have crept up lately more than you would expect simply from inflation.

Thanks for the review. The job was a easy job that the customer made hard. Reading the installing instructions to my men. They put the same Gas Pack we installed for you over 100 times this year. The job was $6200.00 not $7000.00 . I should get a check for the extra $800.00 soon. lol Furthermore, the contract you have with B&E says You need to buy a maintenance program. The same one you have been on from 2009. If you do not get the PPSA service there is no Warranty on the new equipment. For us to honor our Warranty you must let B&E service the System 2 times per year. If not the Warranty is good for only 1 year parts and labor. Per our agreement and B&E extended warranty policies. This has not been done yet. We will sent you another letter. This is the 3 time we tried to contact you .The City Inspector passed the job said it look great. We are the experts. We are sorry you did not like our work. Paul our service manger came to make sure you were happy. You told him you were happy. Your are 4 months behind on the PPSA Maintenance. I will give you 30 more days before we void the Warranty. Thank You.

Description of Work: Last winter, we had them come out to complete a repair. The part he replaced was $15 and we were charged $85 for the work. Overall, it was a good experience. I’ve never had any bad dealings with them.

It's not what the part cost in the HVAC business. It's what you know. I went to CPCC for 120 cr. hours just to learn I needed to work in the field for years. This gave me the experience to tell a customer what was wrong. Yes we charge $89.00 to come out to you house for the first 30 mins. It should not take a good tech more then 30 mins to find the problem. Then we give the homeowner a price to fix the problem. We warranty our work for a year, we have Vans and Trucks that cost over $100.00 in gas to fill up, cell phones, got to pay the call takers at the office, and the rent. Its not the part. Its a business. To stay in business we charge a flat rate to repair a problem. We are not the cheapest in town. I feel we have the best Techs and install crew in Charlotte. I will pay them a wage they can live on. I am sorry you feel like we charged to much. B&E is still in business, just in the past 5 years over 30 HVAC company's have gone out of business. When they do there goes the warranty. We have been in Charlotte for 31 years now. We know what the other contractors charge. We are in the middle. I would like to charge more. We charge what is fair and what it cost to do business. Sorry, but you can call the guy that works out of his home and beat us in price, but we can run if we are missing a employee. It takes a team. We have a great team. Hope you will call us back when you need us. Be sure to keep your drain lines clean, wash the out door coil, and change your filter every 60 days. We try our hardest to make all of our customers happy. Its nice to here from you. The summer is coming up. It would be a good time now to have your AC serviced. Most of the time we can solve a small problem now in the spring, not wait for it to become a big deal when its 95 deg outside and on a weekend when the parts house is closed. Description of Work: Greg and his team of professionals were very responsive in addressing our HTG/AC issues, which ultimately resulted in our having to get a replacement system (Ugh!). We had met with and received assessments and estimates from at least 3 other companies and are happy overall that we choose B & E to take care of our needs. They are a great group, including their office staff Lisa, Dawn, Dee Dee and others. Their service technicians are top notch, too!

(Member name removed), thank you for giving B&E Air and Heat all A's on Angie's List. It means a lot to me and my staff that we try hard. It doesn't always turn out like we like it to, but we are about 98% there giving 110% every day to keep our customers happy. Making your house comfortable gets harder the longer you run your HVAC system. This would be a good time to call our office and get on our PPSA list . Where we come out 2 times a year to make sure that your system is working correct. If we installed it in the Winter time its a good time to call the office to have your AC checked. Thank you for your Kind words. I posted it on our Employee board to give our employees that boost in the morning to go and make the next customer happy. This is B&E Air and Heat 30 years of doing service in Charlotte. Greg has taken over the day to day, but Eddie is still watching and teaching in the lab and white board to keep our service and install crews up to date on new Equipment.
