 + -1 moreOur water started running luke warm, called several companies and got over the phone quotes including 2 from the gas company. Checked out Angies List big deal and saw this A rated company and called, they quoted me over the phone and due to the big deal they were about $300 less than any company I had previously called. I purchased through Angies List, called them and they came out, easy, simple and painless, had been expecting my water to fail any year and this was painless switch out.
Description of Work: They replaced my 13 year old gas water heater. They were very professional both on the phone and in person. The master plumber/ technician Billy who did the work in the heat of they day was very very knowledgable and professional. I will recommend them to neighbors and friends. A great experience overall for something I had been dreading.

 + -1 moreFrom start to finish Billy was constantly busy doing something...I think rather than standing there asking all these questions and admiring Billy's work, it was best to leave a professional alone while he's working. When he was finished he explained the warranty and noted he had already deducted the Angie's list coupon for us in advance. He cleaned up his mess and after he was gone I was left with a brand new water heater, clean and dry garage, and a happy wife!
Description of Work: Woke up on a Sat morning to find my garage floor flooded from our original (came with the house) water heater. Figures if it's going to go it would be on a weekend. Thought I'd go the cheap route and visit a local chain hardware store for a quick fix. Not even close, the soonest anyone would come out would be the upcoming Monday. I'm ok with a cold shower in the summer but not my wife. So a quick look on Angies' List and I found The Water Heater Experts. With all the good reviews I decided to call. My first call went to voicemail. So I hung up and tried a few minutes later (it was luch time so I thought everyone was on a lunch break) I called again and this time left a message. 5 minutes later Scott calls and apologizes for being on the line with another customer...good start. Scott was very informative and reassuring. Unfortunately they were booked for the entire day but could squeeze me in for Sunday morning. After discussing all my options and prices we agreed for a Sunday install. Billy showed up on time and ready to go. I think the whole process was complete in less than an hour and a half. Billy answered all my questions and then some. Very professional and very knowledgeable, Billy is a true master of his profession. My only regret is that this will probably be the last water heater I'll need for this house. I would highly recommend The Water Heater Experts to anyone.

 + -1 moreI get home from work and noticed my water heater leaking from the top, so what did I do? I go to angieslist and pick out the water heater experts because of the good reviews. I try giving them a call around 6PM but I could not get anyone on the phone so I instead left a voicemail with my name and phone number (I did not get a call back - even though they advertise as 24/7 which is why I gave them a B on responsiveness). I call them early the next day and it was smooth sailing from there, the person they sent was awesome and the quality of the work was really good.

 + -1 moreI am still waiting for them to complete their work, which was over a month ago. The did not bother to call me, so I called them two and a half weeks ago. They told me that the inspectors would be there in two days but they still have not been here. When I called I was told that they would make an appointment for me and get right back to me. It is over two weeks later, and I still have not heard from them. I loved the gentleman who was here to do the work. He was personable, and even did a little extra work for me. I have to have my meter updated but I cannot do that until it is inspected. I cannot take a shower and have the heat on at the same time. I am going through a lot of health problems now and need the work to be done. The installation was wonderful, but they have not scheduled an appointment for the city to inspect their work, which is causing the big problem, so I rate them an F for responsiveness. I would not use them again.

 + -1 moreOur water heater was about 10 years old and had been leaking quite a bit, but still functional since it was located in the garage. We knew that it had to be replaced at some point and thought we would be proactive and go shop for one. So, we found the Water Heater Experts on Angie's list and their company seemed to have good reviews and the best price for a tankless model. We played a little phone tag trying to coordinate getting them out for a quote. I think this is due to the holidays and everyone is pretty busy during that time. But, they came out and provided a quote and a scheduled a time to come out and install. Everything was installed as expected and the price was exactly as they said it would be. No surprises. The new tankless is working great so far. We are happy customers.

 + -1 moreprompt evaluation of broken h2o heater in attic. able to answer all questions and recommended moving h2o heater to crawl space given risk of leak to lower floors in future. went with ge tankless h2o heater, which they honored angle's list $100 coupon for, in crawl space. they came back 2 days later to complete job and spent about 6 hrs doing so. very professional. no sign that they were ever there except a new h2o heater in crawl space and some freed up attic space. couldn't be more pleased.

Their quote on a tankless was on par with quotes we received from other vendors for a conventional water heater, which we thought was really competitive. Their installer was prompt, effiicient and helpful. When we ran into an issue with the local gas company as far as getting a rebate, The Water Heater Experts stepped up and paid the rebate themselves. These guys stand behind their claim of customser service, and I'd recommend them highly.

 + -1 moreII called The Water Heater Experts before 12:00 p.m. and as advertised, a company representative scheduled to have a plumber at my house with a new water heater by 4:30 p.m. the same day. Michael Takes arrived at about 2:00 p.m, which was great for me. I was in a time crunch and the early arrival allowed me to keep my evening schedule. He checked the crawl space and determined that he could replace my water heater with the same size that I had. There was a question about the size that could be installed because of how small the crawl space the opening was. Based on my telephone discussion, Michael brought a 40 gallon water heater, but after checking and determining that a 47 gallon could be installed, he indicated that he would need to go to the warehouse to get another unit. He removed the old water heater, went to the warehouse, picked up the new unit and installed it. The entire job was complete by 4:22, which is prior to the originally agreed upon arrival time. I mentioned that I was an Angie's List subscriber and I received a $50.00 reduction in the originally agreed upon price. The original price was already over $200.00 lower than another quote. He left his card and encouraged me to call if there were any questions about the installation. Great service, very professional and cordial. Would highly recommend the company to anyone who needs a new water heater.
Description of Work: I got up on Tuesday morning and prepared to take a shower. I noticed that the hot water was not hot. I called a plumber who came out at 10:00 on Wednesday morning. He gave me a quote for the replacement and I decided to check further. I saw an add on my e-mail from Angie's List about a deal to replace water heaters. I called The Water Heater Experts about it and determined that the water heater I needed was not included in the offer. I still went with them because of the price and the fact that they could install the water heater the same day.

 + -1 moreThe Water Heater Experts were great! They answered our call on a Sunday and scheduled us for the next day. They came out to check our busted water heater and were prepared to install a new tankless right away. The tech was even a few minutes early for the appt, which was very appreciated. The work was done quickly and professionally, and they came back 2 weeks later to make sure everything was working properly. Hopefully this tank will last a long time, but if I ever needed a new one, I would use them again for sure.

 + -1 moreFirst, someone came by to scope out the job and give us the option of putting the unit inside or outside. (Our old water heater was outside, in an aqua hut.) We decided to go with installation in our crawl space. We did have to have a regular 110 outlet installed before the water heater could be put in, but we used our own electrician, and that was no problem. On the date of the install, the workmen arrived on time, got right to it, and were finished in about four hours. They explained how the unit worked and gave me all the necessary paperwork--warranty, registration, and form for the credit from PSNC (gas company). We are very happy with our tankless heater. It was nice to get a $100 credit from the gas company, and it's nicest of all to have a virtually endless supply of hot water! And the price for the work was too good to pass up. We had previously received estimates in the $3,500 range.

 + -1 moreOverall it was excellent. The company was very knowledgeable and was able to accomadate us quickly with an appointment. Wayne came out and looked the situation over we decided to replace one burnt out heater and one old heater. We discussed how the best thing for a little more money would benefit us in the long run much more than replacing 2 qwater heaters. Wayne scheduled a time to do the work 2 days later and It took him only one day to remove 2 water heaters and install the tankless system . He was very polite, courteous, professional and friendly . He also was flexible, gave us his opinionbut was willing to do what we would like to have done.
Description of Work: We had a burnt out water heater removed and an old water heater which qwas operating out of an attic removed. We had a tankless water heater system replace both of these wataer heaters at a costof about $800 more than replacing 2 water heaters. We should recoup our $800 after the first year of savings of approximately $800 on utility costs. the tankless system works great and is ideal if you have natural gas available. The time for hot water to get to the furthest areas of the house is not significantly differnt than water from theold water heaters. We have a household with 2 washers3 showers and 4 sinks so we use a lot of water and soemtimes all at the same time. We are very happy with this system and couldn't have asked for a better guy to come out and help us make decisions and do what would be the best soulution for our home and situation. I would highly recommend them.

 + -1 moreExcellent service. First they came out on a Saturday to replace the broken shut-off valve on my leaking old hot water heater. They were prompt and fixed it in 30 minutes, on a Saturday! I did not ask them to replace the water heater that day because I wanted to get some pricing comparisons. Scott provided me an estimate in writing via email on Sunday. On Monday, I called around and got 3 more estimates, all were for more money and using what I thought was an inferior water heater. I called Scott to request that he do the job on Monday afternoon and they came first thing the next day and installed it. I also requested the additional circulation system and my wife is very happy with the instant hot water. Overall a very good experience and I recommend this company to anyone.
