The same afternoon Beth from the office called and scheduled a visit with Dave for 2 days later(Friday). He was very prompt in his arrival time and met with my wife and I to discuss the notes from the Service Tech and make a plan of action. During the meeting we were able to agree that Duct Replacement was not needed and would only have to be cleaned. The downstairs unit did need to be replaced and he suggested UV lights in both our units. He worked with us and was able to have a Crew to the house on Monday morning to do the work. On Monday morning the crew arrived and we were told the Duct Cleaning would not take place on that day and have to be rescheduled for a 2nd day, a little upset my wife called to the office to find out when this would occur. She was told a supervisor would be out to the house in a few hours to talk with us. The crew started the removal of the old unit and found issues original installation were leading to our problems now. Within the few hour window the supervisor came out and showed us the inside of the duct work and that being so new he would suggest not doing a full duct cleaning, I agreed with him and appreciate the honesty that was shown in all the employees. They were able to wrap up the installation in one day and no mess was to be found. A follow up call from Dave was placed to make and adjustment to our invoice on the Duct cleaning and he was in agreement that they didn't need to be cleaned after seeing the inside of them. The overall process went well, it was a purchase we wish we didn't have to make on a house that was less than 6 years old, but very happy in the service and followup that we received.
Description of Work: A service Tech came to the house for a routine maintenance check of our upstairs and downstairs units. Doing the check minor issues were found upstairs and the need to replace a capacitor. Our downstairs unit had major issues with mold, duct replacement and the unit not working properly and on its last legs. He gave us very rough numbers and said a follow up visit would occur with a Project Manager in the next few days. The Service Tech was very prompt in his arrival time and respective of our house.

The serviceman arrived on time (after a call from the company alerting me to his arrival). He was very careful to leave my house clean, and spent an adequate amount of time checking out my AC and diagnosing a problem. After explaining his findings, he fixed the problem.
Description of Work: System received a seasonal checkup, and was found to be low on freon. The serviceman replaced the freon after explaining the findings. He was thorough and very professional.

Shannon was very pleasant to work with and was able to get a technician to the house the same day I called. James was professional, knowledgeable and thorough, and took the time to explain things to me. He was there a few hours testing the systems and found two capacitors that needed to be replaced. The replacement cost was about average. I decided to sign up for the annual maintenance plan and saved 15% on the repairs. I would definitely recommend 72 degrees, was very pleased with the overall service.

Description of Work: I was extremely pleased with technician who came to services our HVAC system. It's scary when you re-locate to a new area and have to find qualified, honest individuals and companies you can trust but we found one in 72 Degrees! First the company called and gave us an ETA and they were right on. The tech, was professional, and courtious. I was pleased that he took the time to wear protective covers over his shoes. He explained that he was going to do a complete check of heating system first, which he did in detail and shared with us the information as he went along. Letting us know it was in very good shape. He answered all our questions. He then went out side and services and cleaned our airconditioning unit. Again taking his time to share and educate us and tips to help us save energy.

Description of Work: An engineer performed a heat/AC load assessment, free of charge. A tech inspected both HVAC units, one of which was failing to provide heat. Tech ordered/replaced control board, and everything is working just fine.

From the moment I submitted a request over their website I felt like I was a priority customer for them. Shannon took time to explain everything to me over e-mail (my requested contact method) and I eventually called to arrange for an appointment. I got the appointment at the exact time I requested and was given a 2 hr window as opposed to the normal 4 -6 hr windows I'm used to. I received a call right before the technician arrived to let me know that he was en route and was given his name. Curtis was very professional, used shoe covers every time when he entered the house (he even put them on the bottom of the ladder so that he would not damage my floor at all when he had to climb in the attic) and found a part that was likely to fail at any day now. There was NO pressure to get the part replaced or get anything else done at all. I did however go ahead and had the part replaced, which he had with him in the truck. The price is actually for 4 maintenances (I have two systems), covers the fall and spring maintenance and also includes the price for the part on which I have a 5 year replacement warranty. Overall, I could not have asked for a more professional, quick and to the point service and I will stick with this company for my future A/C needs.

Perfect from start to finish, I hope that the service department is as good as the sales and installation as they were flawless. My expectations are high as I was assured by Dave that 72 Degrees hires only the best people, We loved it when he used himself as an example.
Description of Work: I must say that when I used Angie's list to find a good company I did, and much more. We had an estimate done by Dave and he was awesome. He took the time to explain everything and made us feel so comfortable with him and his company that we did not need to look any further, He was kind, patient, and unlike most he was absolutely concerned with us getting what we needed without trying to sell us a bunch of extra stuff that the last guy did. We are so happy with the way we were treated that we have already posted his card at the office in case our companies employees need to replace their air condition they will know who to call, Dave. The office called me twice to keep me informed as to my service person's schedule and arrival expectations. Chris called me when he left his last service and advised me he was ahead of schedule and would arrive early. He arrived, introduced himself and told me what he was going to be doing. It took approximately 2 hours from start to finish. I was so satisfied with the service performed, I signed up for the two visit annual service. I recommend these folks. They actually communicate with you and in a pleasant way. Refreshing service!
Description of Work: I had my gas-pack (combined Heating/AC unit) serviced for fall. Chris took the unit apart, cleaned and checked all internal items for performance, reassembled and cleaned the outside of the unit.

I purchased one of the coupons for 72 Degrees' HVAC system check-up through Angie's List and almost immediately received a call from their scheduler to set up a time. Their HVAC technician Brandon was able to arrive about an hour early, and Melissa called me to confirm. I met Brandon at the house and he got to work quickly checking over the systems and components. I had found that the humidity levels in the house were a bit high for me, and even though the system was cooling OK, I thought that something might not be working quite right. Brandon confirmed that everything was working correctly and the system was in excellent shape. In spite of his best efforts, he couldn't find anything wrong. I'm pleased with my experience with 72 Degrees from start to finish, and would absolutely hire them again.

I had a very pleasant experience with 72 degrees. The salesman made a late sales call to consult with us past his already full schedule. He was very helpful in meeting our needs with his knowledge and options he showed us. The price was fair and in line with the amount of equipment and labor that was performed. The crew did a good job and finished in a timely manner far less than we were told to expect. They were very professional and cleaned up all the materials without leaving a mess. I have been using my unit now for 3 months and it keeps the climate in my house at a steady temperature with no issues. I was happy with my experience would recommend 72 degrees to family and friends.

Excellent experience, start to finish. AC unit had not been cooling sufficiently, it was actually amazing it worked at all, since it was 26 years old. Came out, did full measurements and testing for system size necessary. Made recommendations based on need, did not try to sell me more unit than was necessary, gave me a good understanding of Seer rating and the difference in efficiency I would see and the resulting savings. Did a beautiful installation job, were courteous, wore shoe covers when in the house and cleaned up all work related mess. Called back several times to check on my satisfaction after installation, they have now proactively called to provide fall service scheduling. They even arranged for great financing options for me, the monthly savings on the new unit is almost covering the monthly payment for a whole new (quiet) system. Great experience with 72 degrees, each and every employee I came in contact with was very professional and easy to deal with.

The first 90 degree day of the year my heat pump died. I called 72 Degrees and they sent a service tech out right away. After troubleshooting the issues with my unit it was recommended that I get a new unit. It was going to be the next day before a salesman could make it out to my house. The service tech was able to do enough to get the unit running until the new unit was ordered. My salesman was Dave, who was very professional. He did everything he could to get me the best unit at a great price. The warrenty and service plan that comes with thier product is awesome and my energy bill was actually lower this year than last. With the way 72 Degrees and Dave treated me the have gained a life long customer.
Description of Work: The old heat pump was removed and the new heat pump was installed. The duct work in my house was clean as part of the purchase of the new heat pump.

Description of Work: Eddie, the owner, came out and did the estimate and evaluation of what we needed. He was very professional yet friendly. Very easy to talk to, explained everything in terms we could understand. Answered our questions over and over again. Took alot of time with us. The guys who did the installation were all business. Focused on the work. Kept the house clean. Didn't leave the front door hanging open unnecessarily. Were done in one day. We had the whole top half of the house AC and heating systems replaced. We had the estimate on Monday and the installation on Wed.

Our air condition unit upstairs stopped working. Initially we had ARS come out and look at it. They told us that our system had a leak and that it would be hard to fix. They could not give us an estimate for fixing the leak and they were very pushy for us to get an estimate to replace the entire system.They left us hanging with a non functional airconditioner in the middle of summer. We had enough of ARS and called 72 Degrees. 72 Degrees came out and looked at the system. The guy who came out was very knowledgable and took his time to explain the problems in details. He confirmed that the unit was indeed leaking, but he also said that it is very hard to tell how much. He filled up freon and helped us at least get a working system until we could make a decision whether we wanted to replace the system or not. A couple of weeks later the system started to malfunction again and we knew that it was not going to work much longer. We had 72 degrees come out again to give us an estimate on a new system. They were very professional in their assessment of a new system and we got several options to chose from. We previously had problems with uneven heating/cooling in some of the rooms and Eddie gave us suggestions as to what could be done to reduce these problems. A crew came in to replace the unit outside as well as inside. The installation took one day. Initially we were unhappy about the noise level of the new system. We were going to call 72 Degrees and ask about it, but they called us first to ask how the new system was doing. We explained our concern and within a few days they sent a guy out to tweak the system. After that last visit the system has worked perfect and we are very pleased with it. When it comes time to replace out other system we will use 72 Degrees again.

My review is long overdue, but I wouldn't be a responsible citizen without reporting my experience with 72 Degrees that occurred a couple of months ago. During the peak of summer this year, my nearly 20 year old AC unit was slowly dieing. Being a single guy, I ignored the problem and shrugged off the loud scraping metal sounds when the compressor kicked on, and I just kept thinking that one day it would magically fix itself. Well to my surprise that never happened, and on a very hot day in July I realized that it was going to get really hot in the house unless I find someone in the area that can fix it. Now I wouldn't say I'm a useless guy that can't fix anything, but it was clear to me that something serious was wrong and I was dealing with a possible fire hazard. I had to call someone, but wasn't sure who was the best in Sanford. I did a few Google searches to get a list of businesses, and first called "Joyner & Dickens" to set up an appointment, but was turned away because at the time they were only taking service calls from existing Trane customers. I felt disappointed, but I realized I was calling during the peak of the season, so I knew it was going to be tough with getting my problem fixed anytime soon. I wasn't sure who to call next, but I remembered the 72 Degrees vans driving endlessly around town in the past, and thought that maybe I should call them up. When I called, I couldn't believe the difference where the lady behind the phone treated me with the utmost respect and urgency to schedule a time for service. I didn't expect next day service with realizing how busy all the local AC businesses were, but nevertheless I was relieved that my issue was being addressed. When 72 Degrees came out and inspected my AC for about a hour or so, it became evident that my 20 year old unit needed to be replaced. From that point on, 72 Degrees handled everything required to ensure that I get my issue resolved quickly and painlessly. I was very impressed with the quality of work from the technicians that installed my new unit, as well as the amazing customer service by their staff. I wouldn't trust doing business with anyone else in town, and I feel protected with a 10 year warranty that I can transfer to the next home owner. 72 Degrees is simply awesome! Thanks again!

Dave the sales rep came to my home at my convenience and fully discussed what type of unit would work best for my home. We went over specifics like why my son's room is really hot and ways to fix that. After Dave's visit I had 2 more companies coming for estimates. None of them came close to the warranties offered by 72 Degrees. After reviewing the 4 companies that came out 72 Degrees out did the competitors in price, warranties and time they could put the units in. 72 Degrees worked with my schedule and within one week they had my unit delivered and completely installed the same day. It was so nice to have a completely cooled house in one day!!
Description of Work: I had to get a new air conditioning unit and gas furnace for my home. My home is 11 years old and instead of repairing my unit again it just made more sense to get a brand new energy efficient unit. 72 Degrees helped me decide what unit was best for my home.

Dan was very knowledgeable and professional. He was running a little late due to a prior job that took longer than expected, but that didn't bother me. They called to let me know that he would arrive later than scheduled and then again when he was en route. I respect a company that will take time to do a job right - even if it's not my job. He explained the condition of my system and pointed out the potential problems I might encounter in the next year or two since the system is 13 years old. He wrote up a complete record of services performed and listed the specific items and estimated costs of potential repairs.

Overall experience was positive. I would recommend this company to friends, as well as use them in the future. The only negative was that our upstairs AC was left at 55 degrees, which we did not realize until approximately 8 hours later.

He arrived on time and knew exactly what services were to be performed and immediately went to work. I hung around as he worked on both the AC and the furnace. He explained everything he was doing and why he was doing each step. He cleaned the coils on the AC and checked out the capacitor and the compressor. Then we went under the house and looked at the furnace. Using his camera he showed me all the holes in the heat exchanger and why it needed to be replaced. He also cleaned the coils inside. I could not be more satisfied with the high level of service provided by Dan and 72 Degrees. Thanks a bunch.
Description of Work: Dan Gregory performed a tune up on my AC unit and also checked out my furnace. He was very helpful in explaining exactly what he was doing and why. He also gave some good advice on how to properly maintain the systems. I really appreciate working with someone who can communicate clearly why he is doing what he is doing.

The technician arrived right on schedule and completed all the work noted above promptly and carefully. While I suspect the price might have been a little high, I chose not to wait to comparison shop the work because of the bad capacitors. Overall, my experience with 72 Degrees was completely satisfactory, and I would certainly use this company again.
Description of Work: The technician inspected my gas pak (combined heat & AC unit) thoroughly and then went through all noted issues with me carefully. He then gave the unit a much needed cleaning and mold removal, particularly on the coils. Finally, he replaced faulty AC capacitors. I was very pleased with his professionalism and thoroughness.
