Besides a stained carpet and a duct falling off after a few days, they did apologize and correct the issues. I agree and paid for a seasonal maintenance but haven't heard from them since. Supervisor said someone would contact me for scheduled maintenance prior to winter; it's winter.

Overall very happy with the big deal purchase and the service provider 72 degree for service. Diagnosed problem with my upstair units in terms of low freon. Because I had insurance, I got the leak fixed through another vendor contracted with the insurance company. 72 degree quote was also competitive but my insurance company had its own contractor.

The technician came on time and performed the work. He was polite and friendly and seemed knowledgeable. My heat pump sometimes makes a high pitched tone that lasts for several minutes or more, but he was unable to figure out why (nobody else has either, as it never will do it when a service tech is here).
Description of Work: a service technician came to perform regular maintenance on my 7-yr old heat pump. It had been over a year since the prior company had come to do any service work.

The gentleman can over to my home on time and located my air-conditioning system without a problem. He quickly took off the cover and was able to assess the condition of my unit. then he went into my crawl space and inspected my Furnace unit. After which he checked ducts and pipe work to see if they were in shape. It was a very pleasent experience all around.
Description of Work: The coupon stated that I could get a 72 point check-up. My Air-Conditioner and Heating Furnace were inspected and cleaned out. Reccomendations were given as to how to increased efficiency.

Overall it did not go good. The details provided in the offer in the Angies list e-mail did not clarify that the price for checking included only for either upstairs or downstairs, but not for both. Upon arrival the technician mentioned that we have to pay extra for the upstairs and that is what we ended up doing. We had contacted Angies list about it. Angies list support team could not call back in a timely manner to resolve and purchase extra check for upstairs heating and air conditioning. It took long time because of that. My wife has a nice bush near air conditioning for downstairs in the lawn. The technician did not take appropriate care while setting stool and sat on the bush/flower bed and the plants became droopy. My wife was upset.
Description of Work: Checked heating and air conditioning for upstairs and downstairs in the house and added 1 lb of Refrigerant for one air conditioning unit.

I was disappointed with the deal from the beginning. The ad said heating and AC check for the coupon price. When they came they only did the heating and I had to sign up for semi-annual check-up to get the A/C. So far as I can tell they have done an ok job but think the deal info should be absolutely clear as to what is included.

72 Degrees arrived on site within the scheduled window with Curtis as the technician on call. I was immediately impressed with his attention to detail and methodical approach to checking all electrical components and controls, re-checked refrigerant levels, system calibration, etc. Above all he left our system cleaner than when he found it. We have used other local companies in the past but none have come close to the outstanding performance from 72 degrees Curtis's HVAC body of knowledge, quality and technical skills run circles around most. Very happy with the previous service have scheduled a heating system tune-up with 72 degrees for next Weds 11/20/2012 w/ the same technician. Stay tuned for the experience -however, confident that we will receive the same outstanding service as the last. Overall, great folks at 72 degrees- Thank you!

They came out to give us a quote to replace our 15-year-old HVCA pack. He seemed to be thorough in his assessment in terms of measuring the house, location of windows and doors, etc. He did not push an (expensive) high-SEER systems, but rather one that he said would do a good job of cooling and heating the house. He also noticed that an intake duct needed to be widened (14" to 16") and that some duct joints had not been properly sealed. Their estimate came in around the mid-range of what I'd expected, not the cheapest, but also not the most expensive. I scheduled the installation for a couple of weeks later and it went well, within a few hours two technicians had ripped out the old system and installed the new one. Everything was done as agreed in the work order, their demeanor was professional and they were respectful of our home. They made sure our questions were answered, and explained how to use the new thermostat. A couple of weeks later two other employees came by to inspect the installation. They ran the unit through hot and cold cycles, measuring temperatures and pressures, and made sure to ask whether we had any concerns since the unit had been installed. The company also took care of town permits and inspections, which I thought was great. It was a good company to do business with, I didn't feel pressured or pushed at any point, and felt all along that the technicians and office people I spoke to wanted to ensure I was taken care of. Will definitely use them for yearly maintenance.

Each time it seemed fixed we would wake up to no heat again. They were responsive (except on saturday), apologetic, and friendly. He finally decided what the problem had to be, however we decided to go another way.

It all went very well. They were dependable and professional. The system worked great during this past summer which obviously included more than its share of extremely hot days. I have scheduled them to do my included furnace maintenance 11/13/12. I had gotten an estimate from One Hour Heating and A/C. I was satisfied with what they had to say, but it was expensive. I called 72 Degrees because, like One Hour Heating and A/C, they had a fine reputation on Angie's List and I wanted to confirm that a quality system from a company with a decent reputation should cost us that much. There was no significant difference in the quote from 72 Degrees. I would have gone ahead with One Hour Heating and A/C because I had been impressed by what I had read about them and their representative...and to my mind I was just confirming that their pricing was in the ball park. My wife didn't agree because she had been more impressed by the guarantees and warranties from 72 Degrees....A 2 Year Trial Guarantee, a letter from their owner providing his personal cell number, a comfort guarantee, total replacement "no lemon Guarantee", Lowest Price Guarantee, $500 No-Frustration Guarantee, $500 Installation Guarantee and a Property Protection and Client Respect Guarantee. I didn't see any reason not to give the business to One Hour Heating and A/C, but I wasn't against 72 Degrees so I consented. I might provide a post script here saying I was amazed when I was doing my homework on which manufacturers had the best products. The very best ratings were only average to below average over all with many superior ratings and many bad ratings. My conclusion was the company doing the installing appears to be super important. If the right size system is not installed in the proper manner, even the best products perform poorly. I am pleased to say that our experience was positive and we have experienced excellent performance from our Amana system (which is owned by Goodman Manufacturing...which appears to provide an excellent value) after we have seen it go through its paces during a very hot summer.
Description of Work: Sold and installed 2 1/2 ton Amana central air conditioning system replacing a previous system. In the above price two system maintenance services were included...servicing my heat in the fall of 2012 and my a/c in the spring of 2013. They also sent me a box of 90 day, very nice a/c filters at no additional charge.

After spending a while in the crawl space, he provided paper work containing a check list, which he reviewed with me. My furnace was in good shape and running well. They maintain our air conditioning and heating systems of our house. We discovered that we were in need of replacing our entire duct work system throughout our house, in the attic and below the house. They installed baffles and a duel thermostat so we could keep both levels of our house cool/ warm. They explaining in detail what they were going to do, and showed us along the way. They did an excellent job, willing to come back at any time to adjust the baffles for us and keep it maintained! This will keep our system working better so it will last a long time. The tech was nice and professional. I think he did a thorough job and certainly spent a good amount of time going over things. He found 3 minor problems and gave me an estimate in the range of $500. He also did a pretty hard sell on their yearly service plan. Perhaps I'm just really cheap, but while he was working on the other system, I did a little research and found that I could fix the minor issues myself for about $60. I declined the offer for service and ordered the parts myself. If I had been experienced, I probably could have installed everything in 30 minutes. Given that I had to do some research, it took me longer, but I was happy to save the $440.

Great job. They were finished in a pretty short amount of time. This is an annual service that will prolong the life of your HVAC system. However the tech at the end tried to sell us on some things that were not necessary.
