The workers who came initially to do damage clean up polite, fast, and performed high quality work. The worker who came several weeks later to re-install carpet and clean the carpets was polite and did an excellent job. I would state wholeheartedly that the employees of Pro Kleen were all polite, professional, courteous, and up-front in their dealings with me. The owner, however, was none of these. Approximately a week after all services had been performed, I received a bill which was calculated based on square footage that used grossly incorrect measurements and included work which this company did not do for me. It took several phone calls and finally a letter sent directly to the owner with the errors listed to get a response - a voice mail from the owner himself telling me I had no idea what I was talking about and accusing me of trying to get free services. Upon returning the call, I attempted to discuss the error as I believed it was simply an issue of miscommunication. I asked him repeatedly to come over and remeasure the area in question and finally he stated that he'd be over in 5 minutes and that I'd be writing him a check before he'd leave my house. I declined this offer and set an appointment for a few hours later later in the day. He never arrived and after waiting over half an hour, I had to leave for other appointments. I called and left a voice mail stating I had waited but could not wait around any longer and that I was leaving paperwork with drawings and measurements of the area in question on the front door for him. Approximately 10 minutes later, he called and said he was on his way to the house in about 5 minutes. I told him I was no longer waiting, had left to attend to other business, and would not be returning to meet with him. I indicated that I'd left documentation of the layout and measurements which he could use to send me a revised bill and I would pay it upon receipt. Two days later, I received a bill that had all but one of the issues corrected and somehow the bill was even larger than the first! I called immediately and the owner proceeded to yell at me, talk over me, and refuse to admit there was a problem. He stated that the first bill was generated incorrectly based on square footage and that his secretary had done it wrong. He then said that he must make a minimum charge in order to send his truck out for a carpet cleaning job and that I cannot expect him to clean carpets and bill for less than the minimum. However, in this revised bill he was billing the minimum fee for one room and still charging for 2 other rooms plus a full stairway. In the end, he agreed to charge only the minimum fee for the carpet cleaning and he took the cleaning fees off for the other 2 rooms and stairs. Again, I told him to send me a revised bill and I would pay it immediately upon receipt. I want to be clear that I was pleased with the quality of the work and the professionalism of the workers. I was absolutely disgusted with the way I was treated by the owner. In our conversations, he repeatedly yelled at me, talked down to me, implied I was too stupid to understand how he bills his work, and stated that I was trying to get free services from him. During the conversation in which we set up a meeting for him to come and remeasure the rooms, I felt threatened when he stated that he would not be leaving my home until I wrote him a check. I strongly recommendavoiding this company. While the professionals who are employed by Pro Kleen may perform high quality work, the owner is extremely unprofessional.
Description of Work: Pro Kleen performed disaster clean up services and then after I had completed all other repairs, they re-installed my carpet and steam cleaned the carpet in two rooms, a hallway/landing area, and a stairway.

The overall service and time table of the job should have only taken about 4 months, it ended up taking real close to 9 months. It has been nothing but trouble getting anything done by them and not everything did get done, we are still doing some of the jobs they were to do.
Description of Work: Pro Kleen started July 5th of 2007 to clean and reconstruct our home from fire, water and smoke damage. It took them until April 1st of 2008 to finish. Along with the time it took (9 months) we also had to consistently call them to do anything. We also are missing alot of things that were taken from our house to clean and were never returned. I would suggest to never use this company!!!!!!
