Service man came when he was supposed to and did a good job. Would definitely use them again. Very convenient to communicate with them through the message system at Angie's list. No missed calls or confusion.

Jeff showed up on time to service the a/c and add Freon if needed. Two additional things came up that I wanted done and he was able to install a new fuse box that was loose and the wiring was burnt as well as install a programmable thermostat. He explained everything he was doing and why during the whole process. Would definitely use them (him) again. Good job Jeff ! THANKS !

Serviced AC and helped install portable AC unit at no extra charge.

Technician arrived on time. He troubleshot quickly and found a blown capacitor. Replaced the part and cleaned the unit before testing Freon levels and ensuring unit was cooling as required. Technician was knowledgeable and answered all my questions. Second time I have used C & K.. Definitely recommend them. I plan on having them out to do some other scheduled repairs soon.

The technician was very professional and answered all of our questions. He did a great job and was very thorough cleaning and checking the outside unit and the inside components. Everyone that we dealt with were extremely helpful. We will use this company again.

I called C&K on June 16th and made an appointment for 9:00 a.m. on Friday the 19th. On Friday morning approximately 8:50, I received a call from C&K letting me know that the technician was on his way. He (Chris) arrived approximately 9:30. Chris cleaned and serviced my two A/C units. The job took a little longer than expected because it would rain for a few minutes and then stop. The weather was like this for about 45 minutes. Chris was very impressive with dress, manners, and professionalism. He is a good representative for C&K Air and Heating.

We called on C&K based on the high praise given by Angie's List customers. We had already received a quote on a new system from AirMasters, which had been our service company (and previously my parents', whose house we purchased after their deaths) of long standing. The AirMasters technician believed we needed two systems, a replacement of the 4T A/C and an additional 2.5T A/C upstairs (our upstairs was never comfortably cool). C&K's technician (Richard) took the time to explain our options, and recommended a single 5T system with electronic sensors. We accepted the proposal (which saved us over $5000 and upgraded our system from Amana to Trane) and the system was installed a week later. It was a very large undertaking, requiring seven men working roughly ten hours. Richard was there over 11 hours, making sure that everything was perfect. We found the team to be hard working, conscientious, and well trained. Richard made sure the complicated installation was completed in one day because we had been suffering from a week in a hot Memphis June without cool air. (I also note that we are seniors.) Yesterday, four days later, our A/C quit performing. I called C&K this morning at 10:00 a.m. and they sent a technician out before 2:00 p.m. Technician Jeff found the problem (thermostat was not making contact with power) and was very helpful, providing additional information to my husband about the system and what our expectations should be. We are very impressed with C&K and look forward to a long relationship with the company.

Work was performed beyond my expectations. Technician was professional, knowledgeable and courteous. He had my system up and running in a short period of time. I would give them my recommendation without hesitation.

I always search Angie's list first for all of my house issues. After researching several AC companies, I choose C & K due to reading several positive reviews. I sent an email last night requesting a service appointment. Melissa contacted me in the morning and scheduled a technician in the same afternoon. JJ arrived on time - he was nice, professional and very knowledgeable. I told him about my issue and he assessed the problem, discussed "why" this issue is happening and solved the problem. He also mentioned a couple of options to consider if/when our old, hard working unit ever dies, which we certainly appreciated. Great customer service! We will definitely use and recommend C & K Air and Heating again.

I called C&K to schedule an appt for a general maintenance/cleaning of our 2 systems. The lady who answered the phone was very nice and helpful--discussed what they do for a general cleaning and cost. Richard E came out as scheduled--he was very nice -- friendly and professional. He listened to my concerns and took care of everything. I was happy with their service and will hire them again in the future.

I am preparing my home for near-term sale, trying to anticipate what a home inspector would be looking for. Yesterday, a pest control technician servicing my home noticed water in the catch pan under one of my furnaces. I called C&K, whom I have used extensively sice the early 90"s both for maintenance and equipment replacement, to check it out; and the repairman, J. J., was promised to and did appear in less than an hour. He diagnosed that the drain was blocked and cleared it. To be thorough, he then checked the pressures on the compressor to assure than nothing else was amiss with the unit. I followed J. J. outside a few minutes later to ask him to check the pressure readings on the other compressor unit which recently seemed to me to have been running overlong in the evening. Before I got to him, he had already checked this other unit on his own; and he informed me that a valve was misfunctioning in that unit, which explained what I had been experiencing. That compressor had been replaced by C&K in the spring of 2014, and J. J. affirmatively checked with his office to determine what part of the repairs might fall under warranty. I turned out that the valve (and needed additional freon) fell under the parts warranty, but that the one-year labor warranty had expired approximately six weeks prior. Without me even asking -- and I don't know that I would have, J. J. informed me that C&K management nonetheless decided that I would NOT be charged for the labor to make this repair. The needed part was immediately ordered; and about two hours later J. J. returned with the part to effect the somewhat complicated repair, which took in excess of two hours. He was very pleasant and industrious throughout and restored the unit to proper functioning. When J. J. finished and brought me the work order for my signature, I expected at least to be charged for my original call to establish why water had accumulated under my first unit and to take care of that problem. Instead, I was NOT charged even for that matter. I cannot speak highly enough of both C&K and its technician, J.J. for the speed of repair, the pleasantness of the experience, and C&K's willingness to go beyond obligation in order to take care of my problems without charge. This is "old time" customer service of a different order which I cannot praise enough.

The office staff and gentleman that came were very professional. The appointment was promptly scheduled and he was on time. The technician followed up with us after a few days to check on the status of our decision which was a nice touch. The price was on the higher end of the four quotes we received so we ended up using another vendor. Out of the four companies that inspected our unit, this was the only company that charged us $85.00 to do so (all other companies inspected the unit and gave their recommendations without charging a fee). If this is the company's policy, it would be helpful if they would state that upon setting up the appointment.

The board had to be ordered but they replaced it the next day.

Ty, the serviceman, was efficient, thorough, polite and punctual. Our experience with this company has always been positive.

They don’t do their work in a hurry and sometimes it takes them three hours of cleaning. They are excellent. When you have a service contract they don’t charge you to come out and clean. Everything single one of them is very professional and I was so sceptical. If you asked me about this when they started I cannot give you one because I want to see how it went. But they have been unbelievably professional, on time and they don’t get in a hurry. They are really nice.

The tech was very nice and knowledgeable and answered my questions. The charge for the service was reasonable. No surprise charges.

They arrived right when they said they would. My initial estimate was based on what another supplier said I needed and was very competitive with the other supplier. Their up front price was the one they stuck with even though they did some extra work. The supplier that gave the initial quote would probably have gotten the job if they had not dropped their price by almost $1,000 when they found out I had gotten another offer. Once their crew started working and looked at the situation, they indicated that I needed another cold air return in addition to the one quoted. After determining a suitable location, they installed the additional return at no additional cost. I did not like the return grill vent they were going to install and they had someone deliver one that matched the others in the house. I think they go out of their way to please the customer. I have ran into others that try to nickel and dime you to death on minor changes. C&K did not do this. The only thing that I think could have been better was the routing of the condensate line but it is OK. After the job was completed, just about in the time they originally estimated, they did a very good job on cleaning up everything. It has been almost 7 months since they did the job and I have had no problems. In fact, the area supplied by this unit is more comfortable than before. I would recommend them but suggest always get a couple of quotes on the work.

C&K is top notch. This is my second Trane unit installed by C&K (in addition to the other one, not to replace it). Their installation is superb. JJ was the lead tech on the job, he is very passionate about his work and it shows. His work is not only done right, but very neat and precisely laid out. Nothing was left to "good enough," it was all done to his high standards. He knows his stuff and he will explain things to you to the level you like. If you want numbers and science, you can have it, or if you like it a bit simpler, he does that too. Very customer oriented and very proficient. Noel ran things in the attic with a crew of Edward, Jerry and Ricky. Each person on this job was a pleasure to talk to and each man was obviously very competent at what they did. They also re-worked some duct work in addition to the furnace install and as I sit in my living room writing this, my wife and I both remarked on how much nicer it feels. Our living room used to run cooler than the other rooms on that furnace, very nice now. Ed was the sheet metal guy, he could be a one man costumer service department too, well they each could actually. Ed made sure the installation upstairs was to my liking, showing me around the new machine in the attic, answering my questions, ensuring me that everything is good to go and will be from many years. When they were totally finished JJ went over what to expect out of the new Trane, the warranties, gave me a bit of history and why it was such a great choice to have. I really appreciated that, it's a chunk of money, but he made me feel like it was well spent. I really liked the fact that the new unit will draw less than half the amps of the one that it replaced, and the longevity of the Tranes as he said he looks forward to checking on these units for many years to come (JJ does our annual servicing). It was a beautiful job with a great machine, and I am just amazed at how clean they leave a job site. To say you couldn't tell they were there wouldn't be fair because it looks so much better than it did before. Very professional, gives you a warm fuzzy about the money you just spent with them. I highly recommend C&K. Job well done

They're competitive. They've been around for a long time. They're very good and professional. I would use them again in the future.

Today all we had to have was a new filter. Units checked ready for winter. JJ is the Tech who has came each time, we specifically ask for him. Very, very happy. He found a cracked piece in one furnace last year that would have been dangerous to us. It's nice to have the same tech each time as JJ knows our systems and has earned our trust. He and C&K have done right by us each time. I do not feel they try to randomly push parts at the systems. He thoroughly inspects each unit, then takes the time to exaplain everything to us and patiently listen to our questions. He is very polite and obviously a skilled AC tech. We opted to replace one unit last year with a Trane. The install job went very well and the system has worked without a hitch. A really nice plus to this new Trane, you can tell JJ's work by how clean and neat everything is. I was in the attic cleaning out the pan from a water heater sitting next to the Trane he installed and I couldn't help but notice still how clean the pan from the Trane is, no debris from their work at all. The unit perfectly square on the floor. Very professional, not a drive by install. I wish everyone took pride in their work like he does. I just feel like everything is done right with this company. Highly recommend them.

On time and good repair . I paid repairman in cash and than I kept getting calls from clerk wanting proof of payment . Luckily I kept receipt

After the initial call it took much longer to complete the work than I expected. The company was on another job and didn't have the man power to get on my job immediately. I asked for a "ball park" estimate and the work was almost twice what was quoted.

I'm new to Memphis and needed to get the HVAC systems serviced in my new home, as it hadn't been done in some time. I chose C & K based on reviews here on Angie's List and also recommendations from my new neighbors. I previously worked for an HVAC company in another state and know the drill when it comes to determining good service from bad. C & K were excellent on all counts. They were responsive, timely, and the technician knew his stuff. He took the time to explain the ins and outs to me so that I could make educated future decisions. Fortunately, we needed no repairs - only the routine maintenance - to get us going right. We signed up for a service agreement, as that was the most cost effective option. I firmly believe in maintenance over repair/replacement when it comes to my home, especially a system as expensive and necessary as HVAC. I would definitely recommend C & K if you're looking for an HVAC company.

They were excellent, professionon time. They communicated well, and were very professional. They had to come back out due to a leak, and they expeditiously took care of the problem. I was very impressed. I recommend them highly!!!
