We called on Monday and they came out Tuesday. They were a little early, which worked out well. After looking at the issue, the tech made a couple of changes to the existing configuration to comply with the code. The job was done very quickly and they didn't even charge me! In any case, I am completely happy with the work and obviously the price. So glad I found these guys. I'll be using them at my new house as well.

Great. The dispatcher scheduled the date, The service technician came out and did the job quickly and efficiently. Gave me some tips on things I could do to extend the life of my air conditioner.

The tech returned the next day with a new factory part and completed the repair. The heater now functions as per specfications. I always use C & K for my hearing and A/C service, and recommend them to my friends.

Needed a service call to repair an inoperable gas furnace. Had some price frustration with my previous HVAC service company. Based on Angie's List reviews I decided to give C&K a try. Very pleased with their professionalism, responsiveness and technical abilities. Tech had the problem identified within 15 minutes of arrival (faulty gas valve). Electronic ignitor position also had to be adjusted to get the burner to ignite properly. Once completed adjustments he tested the unit through 5 restart cycles to verify correct functionality. Took approximately 1 1/2 hours to complete the entire service call. All of my questions were answered to my satisfaction. Initial bill came to $180; less $25 Angie List coupon = final cost of $155, which included parts & labor. Of that total, the part itself was $95. I felt it was a cost effective alternate to the previous service provider. I will plan to use C&K again in the future.

Overall the service was very good. Everything was found. They got in and out very quickly.

Excellent service from the start, fair and reasonable price. They are every bit as good as most other reviewers have stated. In one day they replaced my old air handler that was 35 years old and my 22 year old Trane heat pump. Replaced with new Trane x15i and Trane handler with new filter system that only has to be changed annually. Never knew how quiet and warm our house could be. Highly recommend the fine guys at C&K for quality work and reasonable pricing for top line products. like Trane.

The appointment rep was very courteous and contacted me again on the day of the appointment to check if the tech could come early. Jeff did a very thorough inspection, explained everything he was doing, and walked me through the system. He replaced a capacitor, cleaned some sensors, and showed me how the noise was created by the blower motor as it heated up. He put the unit model number in their system and said if we could live with the minor noise the blower could last for years. If not give them a call and they could replace it. He also recommended pricing out the motor repair against the cost of a newer and more efficient system. I appreciated his honesty and not trying to tack on pricey repairs. While we were in the attic, he explained the how the attic fans, insulation, duct work all tie in together. I really appreciated the training and advice. I had some questions about our gas fire place and he checked that out as well. I had no issues through the entire process and will use C&K again.

Very good service overall since Robbie identified the problem so that the electrician required only 10 minutes to replace the faulty circuit breaker. I used the Angie's list coupon and reduced the C&K service charge from $85.00 to $60.00. We were happy to grt the heat back on quickly in our house.

Overall a wonderful experience. This company was very professional from the estimate to the installation crew. There were a few minor problems after installation. C&K promptly responded and the issues were fixed. Our house has never felt cooler in the summer. C&K was happy to customize our installation by elongating our dryer vent so that it did not blow directly on our units and moving our thermostats so that we would obtain more accurate temperature readings. Very happy with the service and price will use again in the future

As a first time homeowner we could not feel more lucky than to have called C&K about this job! Yes, all we needed was someone to install a bathroom fan where there was none before but...in a 100 year old house with plaster ceilings and knob and tube wiring you would be amazed at how many people told us no. Chris not only said sure but he brought along an electrician, Dana Mitchell, to handle with rewiring. Between these two companies, we not only got a much needed vent in the bathroom but they also rewired and upgraded the existing light switch, receptacle, and sconces. Everyone involved showed up on time and worked from start to finish. Care was taken to cover all bathroom fixtures during the install and to clean up before leaving. All cuts made to the plaster ceilings and for the roof cap were made precisely with no need for patching. As for the electrical...we owe Chris a huge thank you for recommending Dana. We feel much more secure and informed about the road ahead of us in our new home. No doubt we will be using C&K again.

a service man arrived as scheduled, and found problem in just a few minutes. he had what he needed on truck to make the necessary repairs on this visit. he replaced the part, answered all of our questions, and even tested his work 4 times to make sure it was fixed. this was all done in less than an hour, and at no time did i feel as if i were being taken advantage of. very good experience overall.

Quite well: same day service call and next day furnace replacement, all done efficiently, care was shown to my furnishings and flooring, furnace installation completed completed more quickly than estimated.

We contacted C&K after researching options on Angie's List and interviewing a series of companies. We had recently learned through a Home Warranty preventative maintenance program (by a company other than C&K) that our two AC units had been leaking coolant (one coil much worse than the other). The Home Warranty preventative maintenance HVAC company seemed very competent, but because the units were about 12 years old, 'builder grade' Goodman models, minimally energy efficient, and using the discontinued R-22 coolant, we considered full replacement at a much higher cost-- it seemed pudent to get multiple bids. Using the phone number on Angie's List, we called C&K and spoke with wonderfully organized, professional, and friendly "Rebecca". The company's owner, Chris Kirk came to our house the next day and confirmed the other company's diagnosis. We specifically shared that we had interest in Trane products, and he provided an array of brochures. His manner was like a patient teacher, explaining the different units with their advantages and disadvantages. He circled key things in the brochures and even added notes with comments for our later study. We had questions over the next few days as we learned more about what to ask-- he responded quickly both by phone, text message, and Email. We opted to proceed. Chris prepared a detailed quote and copy of insurance coverage, and sent to us by Email. The install was scheduled in just a few days to best fit our schedule. One of the most compelling reasons for choosing this company is that the installers are all long-term employees of C&K. No temps or subs. Richard, Edward, Greg, Ricky, and Robert were great-- with each having an oodle of experience! Chris himself managed the install. Everyone was incredibly polite and cognizant of potential damage to the floors from outside all the way to the attic. One of the installers even repaired a loose board in the attic in the course of 'normal' work. Drop cloths were laid everywhere. One of the replaced units and its drain pan were badly rusted, yet all was removed down stairs and outside without any extraneous debris. The install was perfectly neat, with plenum replacement, and even replacement and repair of existing flex ducts. All open seams were squarely taped, and all solder joints made neatly. The replacement of the exterior condensers required addition of a new pad. The units to be replaced had been originally installed only 4" apart on a single pad and new location was needed to meet current Shelby County code. All in all, the install went perfectly. We highly recommend C&K. We intend to hire them for a twice-year preventative maintenance plan. C&K shows trustworthiness in that we were considering super higher-efficiency models, yet ultimately opted for moderate high efficiency variable-speed units that would provide better pay-back in the Mid-South. Thank you C&K for providing the information enabling us to make a good decision! And lastly, we didn't even need to call Shelby County to schedule the inspection-- C&K did it all. The Inspector examined the install and applied the coveted and deserved "approved" sticker without a concern. In this time when everyone is pinching pennies, a costly repair project is a scary thing. Angie's List made it possible for us to connect with reliable HVAC installers-- and our experience shows that we chose the 'best of the best' in C&K Air and Heating Inc!

It went well: the weather was really hot & working in the attic must have been especially tortuous. The technician did very thorough work & tested his work to assure that everything was working correctly b4 he left.

My heating and A/C unit stop working a few days ago. I joined Angie's List last night 10/15/12 because I had such a terrible experience with my last ac repair.. I wanted to research companies to hopefully find a more professional and responsive/honest company. I found C&K Heating and Air listed A rating and decided to try them. I left a voicemail with themI last night about 8:30.. got a return call from them about 7:45 this morning before I got to work saying they could come out this afternoon! They came out and luckily it was a very minor problem that took about 1 minute to fix. I asked Chris the owner how much I owed him .. he said "nothing". I have been used to being taken advantage of and never paying less than 60 - 70 dollars for any type of service repair.... and usually into the hundreds of dollars. He could of easily done the same but didn't, my problem is fixed, and fixed within24 hours of my calling him!!

Initial visit to my home on same day after I called for an estimate on a new A/C System. Chris Kirk was personable and professional throughout. He listened to my concerns about my existant HVAC System, pros and cons, and my requests for a more comfortable System year round. We walked throughout the interior home, and the outside compressor unit. Chris did a complete inspection of the existant system, explaining all facets of the system and how it all worked, individually and as a whole. He addressed my concerns of better air flow, especially in the kitchen/breakfast room. He made recommendations to accomodate my comfort and efficiency requirements. I wanted a Trane HVAC System. Chris then showed me all the Trane Heating and Air Systems, with detailed explanations of each, pros and cons, and finally recommendations to fit my requirements. A decision was made, contract executed. On the date of installation, the workers arrived on time, explained all steps of removal and installation, they worked neatly, cleaning up behind themselves at each step. They were personable and professional. I felt very comfortable with them. The work was completed within the stated time frame. The workers and I did a walk through, and I was given instructions of how to use all elements of the HVAC System, and they assured that all systems were operating completely. I am thoroughly satisfied with the entire process from start to finish. I called C&K Air as they were on Angies List.

I contacted C&K to inspect and repair a 4 year old A/C unit that was installed by a competitor who could not resolve all of the issues. I received a return message from C&K within an hour of leaving my message and scheduled an appointment. They provided a courtesy call prior to arriving, and the repairman was at my house at the appointment time. He completed the inspection and provided a list of items that were installed incorrectly along with repair costs and the priority the issues should be addressed in. The pricing was very fair, and the technician answered all of my questions -- and got the A/C unit running properly. The technician went above and beyond expectations -- I highly recommend C&K!
