The terms of the contract was to pay half up front and the remaining upon the completion of the job. I paid for all of the materials which was fine. I divided the total amount into two separate cashier checks of equal amounts. Everything was going great, until I ordered my custom counter tops for my kitchen. The manufacturer said there would be a 3 week delay for them to come in. Mr. Davidson asked for a draw from the remaining balance since there would be a delay. I made the mistake of giving Mr. Davidson the remaining balance amount due for the job thinking he would honor the contract to finish the job. Everything went downhill from that point. He would not return my phone calls nor respond to my text. Mr. Davidson contract did not include the companies contact address, which made it virtually impossible to contact him to that him to court. After searching over a year I finally located his home address. Mr. Davidson took my money and never finished the job. To this day Mr. Davidson had NOT completed the job which includes: |Crown molding around 1 window and both bathroom ceilings were not installed. |Replacement the base board in the dining room and hallway were not installed. |Gaping holes along the baseboard and cracks that should have been taped and mudded where the doors were installed. |Jacked up wedge were placed under the floor boards to level the kitchen floor. |The bathroom floor still remains un-leveled. |The new duck work above the kitchen ceiling was mashed so badly no air can reach the back room. |The ceramic floor tile are uneven in the kitchen. |The ceramic wall tile bo-nose in the bathroom was not installed. |The light fixtures in both bathrooms were not installed. |The medicine cabinet was not installed. |The fuse box door was left off. |All 6 light covers were not installed. |The security door was not installed properly installed it fail down and I had to pay someone else to reinstall it again. |
