They came out to the house after I scheduled an appointment. They hooked up some equipment and did an inspection of my home. They handed me a form telling me the costs of the services that needed to be done. I did not get the services that I paid for. I was then contacted by the owner and I explained that the ad was not written well and was misleading. The services I paid for did not happen.

Showed up on time. Did work in efficient manner. Individual was friendly and outgoing.

This was a good deal. They showed up on time for the consultation and scheduling with them was easy!

Everything went smoothly. Although the audit showed that the house was in pretty good shape, he did offer suggestions to consider. He was not pushy.

I called Joe at Smart House. He immediately came out and did a complete and thorough inspection of my home including thermal imaging. He went over the findings in detail with me and gave me a print out of the special areas that needed improvement. He noted which were the areas that needed immediate attention and listed others that could be done over time to add further improvement to my home. I called a few weeks later to set up a date to have the services I selected performed and these were done the following week. All men who performed the services were very polite, friendly, and answered any questions I had. The job was completed in the time estimate given and i was completely satisfied with all services performed. I would highly recommend this company and plan to use them again in the future.

The representative was very thorough, professional and took the time to answer all of the my questions. He showed and/or explained to me what he was doing throughout the energy audit. The final report identified some issues I was already aware of and also discovered a few areas of energy loss that I was not aware of. The cost estimates are a little high, but I have confidence the work will be of excellent quality.

We had a wonderful experience with SmartHouse from the purchasing of the home energy audit from Angie's List through the process of having the third floor and attic of our one hundred plus year old home insulated. The company contacted us promptly by email and phone and we scheduled the audit. Joe Page, our service person, was very professional and courteous and explained the results of the energy audit clearly and offered suggestions to help cut our energy waste. We schedule the installation and the work crew was on time, very friendly and also very professional while they were working in our home. The insulation has made a HUGE difference in the livability of our house. The third floor which was previously freezing in the winter and boiling hot in the summer is now very pleasant to be in and the temperature of the house overall (previously patchy with spots very cold and spots much warmer) is even throughout. Our heating bills for this winter are already much more reasonable and I expect the insulation to pay for itself within a relatively short period of time. I feel good about saving money and about being much more environmentally friendly. I would (and have) whole-heartedly recommended SmartHouse to my friends and neighbors.

My experience with SmartHouse was very thorough, it was very pleasant. They were very easy to work with. They did a good job in explaining what needed to be done, those areas that needed improvement.

Smarthouse is a highly professional company. Their staff are very knowledgable. Their equipment is state-of-the-art. It's quite an experience to see them seal off our house and install a large fan in the front door which sucks all the air out so that they can identify leaks. A very sophisticated operation. They gave us a very detailed report of where the problems were. But in the end, it didn't make sense for us to make that kind of investment given that we'd be leaving our house in a relatively short period of time.

The workers called on the morning of 1/14 to tell me they were on their way. They arrived on time and got right to work. The work was done with-in the time frame and they cleaned up after they were done. They were professional, courteous and eager to please. I expect that I will save a good deal on my future energy bills.

The technician came to do what was described as an energy audit of the house. He was very curteous and pleasant. We walked the whole house together and discussed areas of possible energy inefficiency (windows, gaps in basement around vents, ect.). He then did an air pressure test of the house to show areas of leakage with this infared tool. Pretty interesting how much there was! In the end though, we were not interested in pursuing their solution of a comprehensive foam insulation product for the attic due to cost. I had hoped for a bit more information about general prevention or more options for their products.

The workers arrive on time; reviewed work to be performed; performed worked; conducted a post-work home energy test; explained the work performed.

We had a hearth room with a fireplace that had little insulation, making the room a magnet for cold air. The first thing they did was to insulate above, around and beneath the fireplace. We could tell the difference in the comfort level of the room by that evening! The attic insulation had been kicked around by previous workers over the years (adding cabling, lighting rods, etc). As a result it was pretty thin in some places. They sprayed in additional insulation to R-49 and sealed the duct work in the attic. Certainly feels more comfortable around our home! Glad I had this service completed!

They did an attic inspection for air leakage and a blower door test. Joe was extremely thorough and informative during and after the inspection. I have recommended them to a number of clients and friends. We plan to do some of the suggested items as soon as we have completed some renovations inside first. I would call them again when we are read to do the work and have them re-test.

It went great. Joe arrrived on time as planned even after I changed the date due to scheduling conflict. We went over the process and he thoroughly explained in detail what was about to occur and what could be expected. I was impressed that he knew with preciusion what specific areas were suspect for air leaks and his testing confirmed it. It took only minutes for him to set up his equipment consisting of a fan installed in the front door opening to draw air through the house. The infared scanner showed without question that he was on target. I have high confidence that the areas identified for improvement would improve after the measures recommended are applied.

Arrived as scheduled. Explained what the audit would entail and the type of equipment used before starting. Gave a detailed message on what they found and what would be needed to effectively insulate our home.

Joe came out to my house as scheduled and already knew some information about my situation due to the survey I filled out. He told me what he was going to do and why. He showed me pictures of the attic of problem areas as well as thermal images. He addressed the problem with my master bedroom and explained the issue completely. He answered all of my questions. It didn't seem like he was trying to sell me anything. Unfortunately their prices for the recommended items were 40% higher than the other bid I got. So I did not end up using them. I am happy and learned quite a bit. A+ on everything but prices.
