So far everything has gone well. They showed up on time and checked the house for air leakage and hot spots. They then sent a very detailed report with various services listed separately so that we could pick and choose what we wanted to have done. They will be coming next week to add insulation and move some vents so that the air goes outside instead of just into the attic.

The products used were high-quality and the work was overall very good. We had an issue with a damaged transfer grill, and it took some time to get that resolved, but they ultimately made it right. Overall, I would recommend them, but you may have to call a couple times if something is not quite right.

I purchased a '$55 for Attic Energy Evaluation +Thermal Camera Scan' from Angie's List. Someone came for the service. He was on time and very professional. It was a pleasure to have the service and knowing where the leakages/problems are. However, the estimates to fix them was very high, way over our heads. We are still thinking and have not gotten them fixed yet.

He was timely, courteous and helpful. He gave us some good insights in what could be done.

Joe from Smart House came to evaluate the problem cold spots we had near our windows. We thought we would have to have the windows replaced. He found that the problem was not with the windows, but areas of our attic that had no insulation. We have intersecting roof lines, and areas that were totally un-insulated. He also found areas where the insulation on some vertical walls had pulled away and wasn't insulating the area. There were also missing wind baffles in one area of the attic. Then on the installation day, a team of two men showed up to correct these issues. When they were done, George, the team leader, explained everything they fixed in the attic. He was very knowledgeable about their process. Since the installation we do not have hot and cold spots near the windows and the rooms that had insulation added are much more comfortable and even quieter. The birds don't wake me up at 4am. I have noticed that my heating and even air conditioning don't run nearly as often and the house is very comfortable. In addition, when Joe outlined the problems, he did a price breakdown of each issue, so I could choose exactly which problems I wanted to fix. I thought this was very respectful of the customer. Letting me decide which issues were most important and prioritize the repairs.

After the first third of the work was completed sealing old attic air leaks, additional work over the initial quote was defined due to the presence of more knob and tube wiring than initially found. All work was completed within three half-day sessions to avoid the heat buildup in the attic after late mornings. George was the on-site team leader, and he and his helper kept us informed on the progress and completion of the job. Joe Page and Stephanie Seemiller in the office were helpful in our requoting and reqscheduling of the job from last summer. Joe helped explain the test results on air leakage.

They did a very professional, timely job and I notice a great big difference in my home. I would recommend them to others as well as use them again.

Overall, this was a very good experience. From setting the appointment (and re-setting due to inclement weather) to the final report, the company was very professional and knowledgeable. We learned many things about our home and we will be using their services to fix some of the issues they found. Some areas we could fix ourselves for an immediate help in our energy costs.

It turned out good. The service was very interesting. I spoke with him about my home not heating properly in the upstairs. I did not end up getting the work done as it was only going to make a small difference from what I knew. If I needed any services I would use them again. The guy that came out was very informative and professional.

Joe came out and did an energy audit, revealing to us how much energy we were losing from our home. He then crafted recommendations, which we could freely choose from as we thought about what to work on. We ended up going with a pretty full package of insulation and ductwork to improve the energy efficiency of our home. Joe and the rest of the crew were very professional, extremely helpful in explaining things, and worked very expeditiously. We were very satisfied and would easily use them again if we need similar work again in the future.

Very pleased with the service provided. I thought it was informative and that we would be able to recoup the money spent on the home energy audit by performing the recommended items in the report.

Exactly what I expected and wanted.

We own a condo in a building of 16 units. We had a project that was partially paid for with an assessment and partially paid for by individual owners, depending on what level of repair the affected owners wanted to pay for. They were very patient and professional as we dealt with different owners and lots of questions. They were easy to reach, very helpful with follow-up and completed the job in a neat, clean, and professional way. We are now going to use them to insulate the entire attic of the building.
