Sealed places in attic, wrapped downstairs wash room wall with insulation and installed air exchange

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and they were very good. They were prompt, quick and I assume they were good. It seemed like they did their job and I guess the work turned out okay.

Came to give me an estimate for insulation. After he went to the attic he told me the bathrooms were not vented to the outside. He gave me a choice of what I wanted to use for insulation and then gave me an estimate for both projects. I signed the contract and he came the next week to blow in the insulation and fix the vents. He took pictures of what it looked like before, during and when he was finished so I could see what he was doing. Excellent service, fair price and cleaned up when he was finished. I highly recommend this company. Totally professional.

It went well. Tech arrived on time, reviewed service performed and gave his professional recommendation on what we should do from here. I have used Smarthouse before and have always received professional, quality service.

Placed large fan on entry to home and measured the leakage of outside air entering home. It was quite dramatic to see all of the spots my home was leaking outside air into my home.

He was supposed to have adjusted my humidifier and it's still very dry in my house. He was a nice gentleman but I don't like people overselling me.

Went great, provider showed up on time, completed service quickly and thoroughly, and provided me with information, recommendations, and projected costs for maintenance of furnace system.

The service person was on time. He checked the furnace, thermostat, and changed the filter. He recommended that we also install a humidifier on the furnace. We ordered the unit and it is to be installed 11/21/2013. Great experience.

Service appointment went very well ... Tech arrived within their scheduler's stated time frame and was very courteous ... Appeared to be very knowledgeable ... He performed a very thorough cleaning including removing and cleaning the burners and ignitor ... He also vacuumed all other exposed areas ... The tech also performed a complete check of operating parameters ... Excellent overall job ... In fact, most extensive tune up the 9 year old furnace ever had.

It turned out good. It was impressive what they came up with. Their attention to detail was very good and they were very thorough. We probably will use them again next year.

My husband was home when they did it but he said everything was fine. They were very professional and he was happy. The work was fine. There was one part that had to be replaced so they took care of that and everything is working good.

1. Rarely have I been so impressed with service from a company. 2. First, I dealt with Joe Page, an architect at the company who educated me about spray-foam insulation, which was new to me. In one e-mail he answered my 37 questions with photos, links to EPA websites and details on manufacturers of spray foam. He conducted the energy audit himself and explained everything he was doing and why. Most informative. 3. Second, based on our positive experience in the spring, we decided to improve upon the disintergrating insulation in our attic. In the meantime, SmartHouse changed subcontractors for the spray foam and had a staff change. The unintended result was an error in communication for our job. Instead of encapsulating the attic, only the north and south walls were sprayed, which is where the roof rafters are located. Nothing was put on the east and west walls. We had to leave the house for a minimum of 24 hours. When our family returned, late on a Saturday night, I discovered the "tunnel." I immediately wrote an e-mail to SmartHouse. I had a response from the owner of the company by Sunday afternoon and another one on Monday. The owner acknowledged the error, promised to remedy the mistake, special-ordered the additional chemicals for the bricks and paid for those chemicals. The job was finished by late Wednesday. We improved our energy rating from 67 percent to 44 percent. Our house is almost 100 years old and has many large windows, some of which are leaded or stained-glass and therefore will not be replaced with modern windows. We can feel an immediate improvement in the comfort level in our house. I gladly would do business with this company again.

He was on time and he was thorough on explaining everything to us.

went very well, the thermostat was checked and a wire changed. the furnace no longer vibrates the house when I kicks on and it is in the background now running smoothly. all is well . thanks a bunch!

Jason arrived on time and gave me an excellent report of the problems with my HVAC. He gave me answers to my questions and we discussed them. He was very professional and gave me several options to replace and/or augment my system, which was old when I bought my condo.

Purchased this big deal in August for furnace and ac checkup. They called to schedule a time late Sept. to service/clean and check the furnace. Also scheduled a date next May, 2014 for the ac. Promptly came on time, knowledgeable, cleaned everything and let me know a part may fail this winter. Offered preventive replacement, but didn't pressure me at all. I opted to wait on the preventive, but will shop around for competitor service and pricing. If the solution is accurate, and rate is reasonable, I'll have them return for the service.

Very friendly, professional individual came out and did a complete energy audit in my house. The house is newer, so not too many issues were found, but he provided a thorough report and actually took the time to show me the thermal images in the house where he found issues and explained his recommendations. The report came via email a few days later and it was very comprehensive and provided detailed costs of the services he recommended. I did not think they tried to oversell anything that wouldn't provide you a benefit. I would certainly use this company in the future to provide an audit and I think the prices were reasonable.

Joe performed a thorough inspection. He emailed a detailed report, outlining what was done and any improvements that would better our houses efficiency. He also provided estimates for suggested updates.

Overly expensive and later the roofers (we later replace our roof) told us that SmartHouse had done a poor job on the roof vents that would have led to leaks.

Very professional – Called ahead to verify everything – Informed they were on the way – Prompt – arrived at scheduled appointment – explained EVERYTHING – did not care that I followed them around asking questions – very nice – after they showed and explained EVERYTHING – I decide to have them come back and they corrected and installed a few of the issues they found- that service was also carried out in a professional manner we men who cleaned up after themselves and showed and explained everything I have already given their name and phone number to a few freinds - I will have them back if ever needed again I do not remeber the exact date or the exact cost - But is all well worth the cost in future engery savings in our house- we do notice a difference this summer already
