Overall, excellent experience. The tech came on time. Provided a detailed estimate. Did a great job. Will certainly use again.

The serviceman was polite and professional. He put more Freon in and gave me tips for keeping my system running. He knew what he was doing. I signed up for their maintenance plan.

They came out and looked at a whole bunch of other things, but did not do what I wanted them to do. They sent me estimates on all the other things that they talked about and that I had to have done. They then told me that an engineers had to come out to look at the things that I wanted to have done. The price for what they were suppose to do was a good price though.

Joe was fabulous. This was the second time we worked with him. However, Joe left SmartHouse before the completion of our project and it was downhill from there. Though some bumpiness is expected when transitioning mid-project, everything seemed to fall apart. We had trouble with responsiveness and lots of miscommunication, but the unforgivable action was not honoring the bid that Joe gave us for the work. They "re-bid the project" and raised the price by 50%! Therefore, we sacrificed the $250 credit we had with them and hired another company to complete the work.

The service went fine. I did pay additional for a service call while they were there. I thought the additional fee was reasonable. The technicians did a great job and were knowledgeable. Two guys came out for the service. The guy who did the energy audit was even able to print a report on the spot. I had no difficulties with scheduling.

Everything was fine. I didn't have additional work done but it was nice to know what was up there. I had no complaints.

It was good. They came out and got our heater ready for the winter. They were on time. Everything was cleaned up at the end of the job.

ADDITION: They have been charging me every month since I purchased the big deal.

$69 for service call, $252 for replacing capacitor. This company was out and did the winter service in September 2013 . when we switched it to air conditioner, no air kicked on, hence the service call for june 2014. I was told it was a bit more pricy than I expected because I didn't buy the service agreement when they were out in sept. it confuses me to buy into a service agreement just to get top grade service when I think top grade service is what I would like to get from all of the companies I do business with on a regular basis while maintaining my home. Maybe I don't understand what this service agreement is. Thanks

Seemed thorough and effient. May use energy evaluation if large bills continue this summer.

After giving me an exorbitant price for the work, the installer complained that it was too hot in the attic to make the repair. Then he left the job to "get a cold drink" and was gone for about 25 min. In the mean time I had no A C and the house was extremely hot. I agreed to the exorbitant price because it was extremely hot and we needed the A C running. After the workman completed the job he tried to add on another $89 for a "service call". I was already being robbed for replacing the blower motor (which didn't cost them over $125) and now they wanted more. I refused to pay the service call which I had not been informed of when they gave me the exorbitant price (They made at least $400 for 3 hours of labor) and so they removed the charge from the bill. It's bad enough to get robbed when you are at the mercy of a repairman, but to be hit with an unauthorized additional charge was adding insult to injury. I was taken advantage of. Furthermore, the bill (that I finally got by email) contained no information on the blower motor and no listing of the labor charges. They knew that I was at their mercy - it was the hottest day of the year so far and they knew that if I didn't agree to their fee, I would not have air conditioning overnight on an extremely hot night. A reasonable charge for the work would have been $400 to $425 complete. Even that provides them a hefty profit.

Workmen arrived as scheduled and completed the work competently and with a good attitude. They did try to convince me multiple times to purchase a care package rather than the single visit, but I did not consider their persistence inappropriate. The visit provided for me to take advantage of an Ameren rebate.

It went well, they came out the day schedule, replaced the A/C unit, added the all weather pad along with moving the wires to another location outside of the house. Job well done.

It was just okay. They did fine but it's just that he came up with hundreds and hundreds of dollars of repairs that I don't believe we needed. The price for the cleaning was reasonable. I just didn't like that he said he found all these things in the furnace that needed to be replaced because we have a fairly new home. I just don't think he was honest about that. I think he was just trying to make a sale that wasn't that necessary.

As expected. We have an older unit so it needs new freon every two years or so. We'd like to update the unit but it has been cost prohibitive in the past (and still is).

The service was fair. I had bought a big deal for $89, and there were no additional costs. The use of the infrared camera stood out the most.

Contacted me by phone promptly after I bought the Deal here. Arrived on time. Were professional, clean and friendly.

It went very good. It turned out that my air conditioning actually went out completely and they came yesterday and did a good job. It worked out good. The nicest thing for me is once my air conditioning went out, they came quickly, they came the next day when I called them so I appreciated that because I had no air. I called them on Tuesday and they called me back Wednesday and then they came on Thursday. He was late but he probably called me 3 times.

Both services were as expected and technicians friendly and professional. Ac needed a part replaced so I had him perform service on that without shopping. Based on horror stories from others, I believe the price was competitve. All in all very satisfied. Only problem was in scheduling. both times the date agreed to and when I was expecting them was a no show. Then when I called, was told they must have made a mistake because there was no record of it. Both times I rescheduled and they we on time.

My experience was adequate. They walked through my attic and took pictures. They verified I had raccoons in my attic. There was one technician out doing the inspection and I felt the price was a little high for the service.

George initially came out to examine the attic and determine a cost for taking our attic to R-38 from around R-20 or so (1960's house). He also identified a few significant air leak issues (around fireplace, air returns, drop soffit, etc.) in the attic that we also decided to get fixed/sealed up in preparation for getting our AC/furnace replaced. He was knowledgeable and informative, and discovered some things in the attic I had missed. After deciding to move forward with the repairs/upgrades, I called into Stephanie and scheduled George to came back about two weeks later; he did the work with one other staff member. They showed up right on-time (around 8) and got to work quickly. I thought George went above and beyond, air sealing/caulking what we agreed to in the attic (fireplace, returns, drop soffit) while also sealing up anything else he could easily see up there, which was great. He even sealed up a small hole in my kitchen pantry which we found after he started adding the new insulation. It should also be noted that they use fire rated, commercial grade products for sealing gaps, which are generally better quality then what you get from a big box store. The insulation process was done quickly and effectively, with essentially no mess whatsoever in the house and minimal noise as well. After they finished the work, they even brought a HEPA vacuum in to sweep up the minimal insulation in the hallway. George invited me to look up in the attic to see the repairs/new insulation, which was great to see. After they left, I could already see the improvement in the cold air returns (lower temperature) when I turned the blower on; hot air is no longer being sucked in from the attic. This will pay huge dividends in the summer and reduce strain on the AC (and my wallet!) Spraying in cellulose insulation is a great home improvement project, and if you want to do it on your own, you certainly can cut the cost down significantly vs. hiring a professional. However, if you are very busy like me and appreciate the professionalism and expertise these guys bring to the table, I would recommend Smart House and would certainly use them again in the future.

One of the provider's technicians came out to do an assessment for an estimate that they were drafting up for us. The a-coils had been freezing up in mid 70 to lower 80 degree weather. Additionally, we've never had decent air flow to most of our vents. Our second floor has always been hotter during the summer by 10-15 degrees and colder during the winter by as much as -10 degrees compared to the first floor. Clearly something has been wrong. At the time of this assessment, I had had three other estimation appointments that week and 2 others over the past two years. The technician from Smart House was the first to realize during his assessment that our blower was misconfigured and simply needed to be set to high. He set a jumper and the system came to life. I could actually feel the air moving out of the vents at waist high for the first time. Some light weight curtains located over one of the vents moved for the first time since we've own the house. With it being 80 degrees outside and within the 15 minutes after setting the jumper, the temperature in the house finally came down from 72 to 70 to match the temperature the thermostat was set to. Both the salesman on his visit and the technician on his seemed extremely knowledgeable and both were courteous. I was extremely impressed to say the least. We did get a quote for adding zoning to the existing system, as I suspect that there will still be something of a difference in the temperature upstair from downstairs on extremely hot days. And when the time comes for us to have that work done, we've decided that we will be hiring Smart House to do the work.

The service went fine, we had no problems with them. We did not pay more then the $59 of the big deal. They came, they were fast, he was good, he did not try to sell us anything, and he was good.

They did a house assessment and it was beneficial. The price they quoted was much higher than another company we got an estimate from. We ended up having other things done to the house but with a different company.
