Bad was not interested in doing my work told me he was only looking at big jobs. Told me Angies List was only used for slow times when he did no have any work.

I got several bids to install a new patio with some landscaping and Tom's was the lowest priced, but he could also come out and do the job weeks ahead of any other company. We had an existing paver patio that we had installed ourselves, so we saved some money by ripping it up ourselves and we were able to reuse the pavers. The patio was expanded so we were able to order additional pavers to match ours and Tom just picked them up. Super easy. There was a team of guys who came out and did the entire patio and planted three evergreens along with mulch all in one day. The patio and landscaping looks great. Everything was done professionally and the entire process from initial phone call to completion only took about 3 weeks.

Tom's crew showed up right on time and worked really hard all day on our 1/3 acre yard. They trimmed hedges and cleaned everything out from the winter. They used my existing bricks to build a new raised bed for wildflowers and refilled the herb bed with proper soil. I did have to tell one worker not to use the power hedge trimmer on shrubs and he then did it right by using pruners instead. Tom has a great crew and has been my go to garden guy for several years.

Received free estimate promptly. Work began following week. Not only does our house front look "clean" we had an extra surprise. The following day as I was in our backyard I noticed they put what must of have been some extra sod they had, on a patch of ground we are having a hard time growing grass. on Thanks!!

Everything went very well. They gave us a bid, got it scheduled and its all done in time for spring. Got them some more business on our court as well as they saw the team working on our clean up and wanted to know about them. Very satisfied with the work and professionalism.

He is busy and he has more people than he does anybody else in the list. He is really spectacular when he comes out and he does a great job, but just it is hard to get him out here. I think his priority is to prioritizes his work. He does beautiful work when he gets down here and he has done a lot of work for us. He does excellent work just be patient. I would absolutely use them again in the future.

It has continued to be a succesful solution.

I contacted Tom Watson back in August 2013 about removing an existing retaining wall and install a new stone retaining wall in its place. He came out promptly and seemed really knowledgeable. I then waited for a few weeks to get a quote from him and he provided this after I followed up with him on this again. His price was competitive so I sent him a down payment in the beginning of September. The original idea was that he would be able to start within approx 4 weeks. I then followed up with him again in the beginning of October at which time he requested 2 - 3 weeks more time, which wasn't a problem. When I checked with him again at the end of October, he informed me that I was next on the list and that he would be calling soon to schedule. I then didn't hear anything for a couple of weeks and sent an email to see what is happening and also gave him a call. He said (again) that I was next on the list and that he would check his schedule and will confirm with me shortly about a date. He did offer a $100 discount for the inconvenience. I then didn't hear from him at all (no date provided as promised) until I contacted him a couple of days ago to inform him that I assume he is no longer interested in the job. He told me that my project is next on the list...And he will get to me as soon as the weather allows. I completely understand not being able to do a lot of work during December / January, but that does not explain why nothing happened during October and November, nor why I got no update or advice of the delay during the time where no work could be performed, and more importantly, WHY MY JOB IS STILL NEXT ON THE LIST. I therefore cancelled the agreement and also the check I sent earlier. I would not recommend Finishing Touch Landscape at all. To his credit, he did not cash the down payment check so I at least didn't have to argue about getting my money back.

When I called to schedule the appt, he complained he was booked up because Angie's list over-sold the Deal. When the job was scheduled, he asked exactly what I wanted done. When I started telling him, he spent more time telling me what he wouldnt do than what he would do. He left a GIANT pile of leaves and debris in my driveway. When I called to complain, he said it was because I didnt provide any yard waste bags.

Took a long time to come out and do the work but we were expecting that. And once they came out they did a good job.

The Company did an excellent job. No complaints at all. The landscaping looks great and the crew was very efficient and friendly. The owner was very responsive and easy to talk with. The price was excellent and substantially below other designs priced by other landscape providers. I would use the Company again without a doubt.

Seems like a good company and I like what they proposed. However, another company was going to do more work for about $1000 less than what this company proposed for less work.

Tom was incredible! He took in our ideas and was very encouraging. Then he asked us one question - "Where would you rather put your money - in this house your selling or the house your buying?" Of all the estimates and companies who had come out, he was the first one to ask us that question. It put the whole conversation in a new perspective for us. He then helped us re-prioritize our project list for preparing our home for sale. We can't thank Tom enough for his professionalism, his insight and his referrals. He could have just given us an estimate and gone for a sale like his predecessors instead he gave us the names of three companies on Angie's List who could assist us on our new to-do list. The first one starts tomorrow. If we do end up staying in St. Louis, we are definitely using Finishing Touch and Tom for our other wish list projects.

When I first called Tom, he returned my phone call immediately. He inspected my property on 4/10. However, I didn't receive the bid until June 9 (after several inquiry emails). With the extensive spring rains, Tom had a backlog of work and he did explain that to me. As a matter of fact, another contractor wouldn't even consider me as a new customer for 8 weeks due to their backlog. Finally in August he was ready to complete my project, however, my travel schedule prevented me from being home. In August, the work was scheduled for 9/16, but it wasn't completed until 9/25 due to an issue with Dig Rite. Now, I know everyone is wondering why I didn't just find another contractor. I didn't look for another contractor because Tom's work quality ratings were very high on Angie's List. Now that the work has been completed, I am glad that patience was my virtue. Tom's crew arrived promptly, finished the job in a day and a half and it barely looks as though a drainage system was installed. As the owner of a small business, I understand fully what occurs when you are inundated with more work than can be handled effectively. When projects expanded for my business, we hired additional support personnel. My suggestion to future clients is to be patient and my suggestion to Tom is to hire an office manager or administrative assistant. His work is worth the wait and I fully intend to call him, if I decide to install a french drain on the other side of my yard. At the end of the day, I'll always remember price and work quality.

Tom and his crew did a wonderful job on our new walkway and front step. They removed our old flagstone and replaced it with two colors of pavers. The crew worked harder than I've ever seen a couple of guys work. They were real artisans and we're thrilled with the final product. I would highly recommend this company. They are very busy and you may have to wait for the work to be done, but they are worth the wait. The price was was significantly better as well.

The workers were excellent. The actual work went quickly and well. Tom is very busy and very much in demand; therefore it is necessary to book far in advance. We signed the contract and sent the down payment at the end of May; the work was completed end of August. The job site cleanup was great. We made a couple of modifications along the way which worked out fine.

Results were fabulous. Their proposal was detailed and understandable. They got my project on the schedule and adhered to the schedule. The crew was very neat and clean at the end of each day. The quality of the installation was great. I have never taken on this type of project before but the owner, Tom Watson, walked me through the proposal, made suggestions as far as patio design and ensure his crew executed as promised. I would definitely use this landscaping company again.

I chose not to have the work done due to budget, time constraints and my own personal health issues.

It went great. They were prompt, honest, friendly, and the end result exceeded our expectations. The owner, Tom, was always quick to respond to questions and offered up suggestions on how to improve the look (without pressuring me to spend more money). Would definitely hire them again in the future.

The owner, Tom, came to visit us and he was very prompt. During the meeting Tom was enthusiastic and came up with numerous creative ideas. He promised to get back with me quickly but I never heard from him again. When I chased Tom up, he was apologetic and he stated that he definitely wanted to submit a quote. Again, I never heard from him and I left a message on his answer phone, but we had no response so I gave up. I hate giving contractors failing grades but under the circumstances I dont think I have any option.

I had a 20 year old tie wall that I removed. I did not want to replace the wall,(to expensive )I decided to put the yard back the way it was before I put the wall in. Slope it to the back of my property. The city was fine with that before and are fine with it now . The City of St Peters engineer had already said that I could do this and told me only thing they require is a 3 to 1 slope. Tom said he wanted no part of that because water would go down on the yard below me a wall was the right way to do this. Did not give me a bid for the grading. I will get back with the engineer and let him know he's wrong. I think grading is not what he wants to do. $11,000 (approximately) wall is the only way to go. Review Update 7/13/2013 The C rating was because I asked Tom to give me a bid for doing the wall that he recommended. He said he was not going to waste his time giving a bid, because I was not going to do the wall. I said then we are done and he left. He never took any measurements, we never discussed anything about the wall. He called me not long after he left, I missed the call and he left a voice mail with that $9920.00 price and a good luck with my project. The C rating is a fair rating.

Went great. Tom was very responsive and available to answer any questions. Never tried to upsell any services. Only recommended things that should be done. I was very appreciative of the fact that Tom suggested we complete our landscaping in stages to avoid the cost all at once. Would definitely recommend finishing touch landscape co. and will use them for future projects.
