Totta Hardwoods

I met with Mike Totta who was very nice. The work was actually performed by Ron who was excellent. I wanted my floors to be gray not the usual shades of brown. Together Ron and I came up with a the right stain color to meet my unusual request. It was a pleasure to work with this company. And when it comes time to re-do my floors again, they will be first on my list. Thank you for a great job.

It went very well. The workers were very professional and competent. We are very pleased with the workmanship and the results. We would recommend them to our friends.

sent over a picture of what i needed to be repaired said he could repair it. never heard back or showed up to do the job that was over a week ago....

The service was great & the quality was great. The only problem we had with them was that we asked if they could do trim & doors when we spoke to them on the phone & they said they could. We found out after they started working on the trim that the employees aren't actually familiar with trim & doors, since they really only do hardwood floors. I took 3 times longer for them to finish the job than they initially quoted us, but the results couldn't have been better. The guys were friendly and personable & a pleasure to have around. The owner, Mike, apologized profusely for the time we were inconvenienced & personally came over & stayed til late at night the last two days to get our house finished. We would hire these guys again in a heartbeat. We just might talk to the owner to get a better idea of what they should be hired for next time.

The crew arrived on time and began work shortly after arriving. Plastic was placed over the hallway doorway to keep the dust from going into the rest of the house. The floor was sanded and stained the first day and the other applications were done on the next two days. We were able to stay in our home and we were also able to walk on the floor at the end of each day. The fumes from the stain and finishes that were used were somewhat stong but were not bad enough to keep us out of the house. We did open windows for short periods of time which really seemed to help. The floor look just like new and we are very pleased with the final outcome. I would recommend Totta Flooring for any refinishing needs.

The guy was really nice but he never got back with an estimate. I even called and left a message and he never returned my call. I was disappointed with it. It might have been a month later that I called because I still haven’t received anything and I thought it was odd that they haven’t contacted me yet.

Mike the owner called and set up a date and time to refinish the floors . He was frindly and professional. On the arranged date the workmen came early am and were finished by 1:00pm. They came back early the next morning to put a second. Beautiful fool now and there was just a little dust to clean off cabinets a fantastic job and only 2 half days!

It went very well. The charge was double but it was based on floor space and I knew that would be happening. They were very good. The people working were very personable and very efficient and very quiet. They did their job very well. I would use them again.

They delivered everything their Angie's List Coupon promised. They were punctual, professional, pleasant, and proficient. This was a good job, for good value. As impressive as everything else was the color match with the floor in the adjoining room. I will definitely use them again for the remainder of my floors when needed.

Mike came out and surveyed the work, brought in an refinish specialist from his company and the work was completed in two days. There was a small area that required follow up and that was done without any delay or hassle. Mike also gave us an estimate on installing new flooring in the living room and dining room while he was there.

I can't say enough about Mike and his job lead, Ron. They were both so professional, skilled and courteous! I LOVE my floors! I don't think they looked this good when I moved into my home 17 years ago-and it was a model then! I was especially impressed with the water based finish that Ron put down. I wasn't aware there was one until Mike told me that it was all he used. The benefit, besides lasting longer than an oil based product, is that you can stay in your home throughout the refinishing process! No need to go to a hotel! And you can walk on your floors The job was completed in 3 days, just as scheduled. The team was on time every day. They moved my refrigerator, stove and toilet and put it all back, cleaning everything as they went. I would definitely use them again and I'd be happy to recommend them to anyone wanting to refinish their floors. Thanks guys!

We could not ask for a better job. Ben and Kyle showed up on time the first day and moved the refrigerator and some other furniture and got started on the floors immediately. The were patient while I picked out a stain color. We left town and they finished the floors while we were gone for 5 days. When we arrived home we were in love with our floors. They look brand new and all the furniture was put back into place. What a pleasant surprise to have a job done to our satisfaction and we weren't even here! I would recommend Mike's company highly!

From the estimate to the finished work, I could not be more pleased. Easy communications, friendly and professional. They did excellent work.

They worked very hard to get the job done timely. If there was an area they weren't happy with they went back and worked on it again. They did a great job. The color is beautiful. We are very happy the floor.

Owner was on time for bid. Explained everything thoroughly including timetable. The crew showed up at the promised time every day. They explained what they were doing, any precautions we should take, answered all questions and told us, before they left, when they would be back and what the would do that day. A couple of times they were 1/2 to an hour late BUT called well before they were epected to let us know. When they were done, we had a question about a couple of spots, called the owner, he arrived in a couple of hours to inspect our concerns. His crew was back almost immediately to perfect the area in question. I won't even consider another company for future work. This was as close to perfection as you can get. I don't know where the owner learned the proper way to run a business but he learned it well. We were amazed.

Someone came soon after I called the company, having purchased an Angie's List coupon, and gave me an estimate. I waited a few months do have the work done as I wanted to do it in the spring. It took most of two days to complete the work, which included sanding of the old finish, applying stain, then I believe three coats of protectant (water based, which I had really hoped for, due to less "fumes"-- especially once it dries). I stayed out of the house just for the first night, but by the second night I was able to return home. The person who did the original estimate, plus the two men who did most of the work, were all very personable and seemed knowledgeable, skilled, and intent upon doing a good job. I was delighted with the results, especially given that the (oak) flooring is very old, and the finishes people seem to have added over the years in a patchwork fashion were quite amateurish and unattractive, plus the surface had become very chipped as well. As the work progressed, I was amazed to see the original beauty of the wood emerge, and every day I am delighting in the approved appearance.

Ben and Kyle refinished the hardwood floor in my dining room. Because there are several steps with wait time in between there were several arrival times. They were always punctual. I was kept informed each step of the job just what the process would be. They were meticulous in doing the job. I am very pleased with the results.

They showed up when they said they would. Stayed and worked all day when necasary. Overall they were finished 2 days earlier than qouted. The job site was kept clean and tools neatly stacked for the next day. We have lived through refinishing before and it was a dusty mess. Tottas has very good dust collecting equipment and there was still some dust but it was liveable. We stayed in the house during this process and would reccomend going on vacation instead. we plan on using them again for the room & hallway that wasn't done this time.

Great job. The workers were pleasant and Mr. Totta reviewed the workers job. I would recommend having the quarter round replaced as the floor stain got up the quarter round.

Everything went well, was able to schedule around other contractors doing the remodel. Paid additional for a little extra square footage and moving of appliances. Workmanship and professionalism was very good. The area was taped off to avoid dust in other parts of house. Minimal dust but still a fine layer that took some time to clean up. Goes with the territory I guess. I have never had this kind of work done so no way of knowing how pricing compares but pleased with the service and would use again.
