Tyler with Totta did an amazing job. Work was performed while I was away on a business trip. Tyler was so good about communicating with me daily on the progress he made. He sent pictures too. When I returned there were a few minor blemishes, but Tyler came out promptly to address and resolve the issue. I highly recommend using Totta and ask for Tyler to do the work. Thank you to Mike who my initial meeting was with and Tyler. Great work.

They arrived very early and worked very hard. I wanted the polish that had been put on my floor by cleaning people accidentally removed. They put it on without cleaning the floor first. So there were a lot of water marks under the polish and they didn't polish everywhere so it was an uneven finish. Totta hardwood flooring cleaned them with a vinegar and water mixture and it got rid of all the spots and uneven looking finish. It looks just like it did when we moved in the house and the floor was brand new. I was so pleased with the outcome I would 100% have them clean or work on my floors again. They also filled in some little holes. Very happy with their work.

He was very professional and kind, but we decided we did not need to do the work, so we did not use the deal.

They did an incredible job. Right down to all the details with the shoe molding getting painted the correct color. The floors look great! Their price was great and they were very fast. They removed the carpet, installed the floors and painted and installed new moulding aound them. Complete transformation. I would definitley call them first for any other wood floor needs I have.

Their dust was supposed to be contained, but it wound up coating everything in the garage and a bathroom in a fine film. They also came on a rainy day, so my box spring got wet when it was placed on the patio, even though it was tarped. Those were my only complaints, as they did a pretty good job.

Totta Hardwood Flooring was an excellent group to work with. They arrived promptly each morning, were very professional and detail-oriented, especially after they realized how uneven our subfloor was. The flooring they recommended looks wonderful and we are very pleased with how the floors turned out.

Very happy with the service these guys provided. Always came to work on time, did excellent work and finished during the estimated timeline. Love the new look of our floors and stairs. Couldn't be happier with the high quality of work these guys performed.

The service was okay. I wouldn't hire them again. They are very difficult to get a hold of, and the workmanship was okay, it was not stellar. I thought they would paint the raisers on the stairs, but they said wasn't included, but I can't find the paper work to prove that. They wouldn't do it even for an extra charge. They were pretty much in and out and even when I had a problem, it took me forever for that to be taken care of. He is too dificult to get a hold of. They were very nice, and the price was good.

That experience was very good. They came right on- time. They were very punctual. It took two days because they had to strip it, sand it, and come back and apply the finish. They did a great job.

They responded to our initial call quickly, and gave us a written estimate and explained every step in the process. They came on schedule, and worked quickly and cleanly. We were impressed by the two workers who took time to explain what they were doing and how to take care of the floor. They took time to get a good color match. It looks great and we are very pleased. We do not hesitate in recommending them.

When I called, they were very nice but the deal didn't end up being what I was looking for. It covered them scrubbing the floors but I was looking for cleaning and buffing which would have cost extra.

It went very well. A few glitches in getting some of the finishing touches done due to scheduling issues but the floors are beautiful and I couldn't be happier. I would recommend Totta Hardwood to anyone who needs to have their floors done.

Excellent, floor looks great. guys were professional and on time. Wife says she would like to have had a warning about dust in the rest of the house.

I was very please with the work that John and Tyler did. The stair case turned out great and the grain in the wood really pops. I would recommend these folks.

I would definitely considering hiring them again. They were competent and they did good work. They took pride in their work. They took out the appliances well and put them back without damaging anything so they could get to all the floors.

These guys are the best!. Completely professional. The most punctual and courteous people I have worked with in a long time. Our house is 75 years old and was carpeted when we purchased it. We wanted to make the house ready to sell and decided to expose the hardwood. We were surprised to find about 80 square feet of plywood on the floor. It was no problem for these gentlemen...they installed new hardwood and only they and I know that the wood has not been there forever. Everything went as described and the job went well. They kept me informed throughout and I could not be happier. You can trust these professionals.

The floor turned out wonderfully. The crew was very responsive and communicative. There was some issue with the amount of wood we had purchased from the mill. Since it was reclaimed and came in a big pile (instead of neatly packed in bundles like new wood), we took the word of the seller that it was 400 square feet. Turns out it wasn't. When we found out, Mike contacted the seller and got the remainder of the missing wood with no cost or hassle to me, and his crew finished my floor on a Saturday. I would recommend Totta Hardwood to anyone looking to install a reclaimed hardwood floor. They are professional and straightforward in their dealings.

It worked out good. It had little quirks but it generally was a good experience. They offered to come even early but I was not ready unfortunately. So they ended up coming on time. It was a big deal purchase. I asked them to do way more. It was close to 2000 sq. feet. It was much more than what the deal covered. They did everything very well. This is a fairly old house so the floors and particularly the stairs were in a bad shape. They worked very well. It was flat and they had to cover the cracks between the hardwood slabs. The matching was very well. Removing the old floor in the kitchen was extremely difficult. They did a great job of removing that. It was much more difficult than we had forecasted. They did not ask for more money even though it was more difficult. The cost was more because I chose the top of the line for the resin. I went with the commercial brand. It was a good price. I had 3 or 4 quotes and I could compare with it. The quality was very good. I like that I could share and talk with the crew. He had good people in his crew that I could talk and interact with. He was always answering by emails. They even called me in the morning and told me what time they were going to come. There was one instance where there was a 15 minute problem so they called to let me know. They were right on top of things.

I am happy with the service as they were able to get to us quickly for the estimate. The guy knew what he was doing and he was very professional as well.

He did a great job he was very professional and accommodating meeting out needs as far as scheduling. He did exactly what we wanted and it looked great when it was done. We were very happy with the service we received. We would recommend him as well as use his company for other projects.

This report is in two sections. The first section is for the original 2013 work and the second section is for the 2014 work. 2013: Sorry about the lateness of our review. Mike was prompt and thorough on the estimate and accommodated us by rescheduling when another contractor was delayed. Travis & Drue refinished the hardwood floors in our dining room, kitchen, family room, bathroom, hallway and stair treads. They were supposed to start on a Monday but due to problems on their previous job and a truck problem they didn't start until Thursday. We were unhappy that they didn't communicate with us about the delay until late on the first day. They set a time to be there on the second day and then didn't meet that schedule either but did call an hour after they were supposed to be here. We had moved all our furniture, toilet, etc out on Sunday so we were without those things for 3 days that wouldn't have been necessary if they had called to let us know they were going to be delayed on starting. They were both very cordial and worked hard, long hours and the weekend trying to make up for their delay and finished on Sunday when initially they expected to finish on Friday. We didn't think it was necessary to contact Mike Totta as we thought they were trying to do their best under the circumstances and they were still going to be done before Thanksgivng. However when the job was finally completed there were some things that we weren't really pleased with such as the stain being darker along the edges of the rooms and visible sanding marks in several areas. But the holidays were coming and we just decided to live with it. We really liked the stain color and the 3-coat poly finish seems to be holding up well over the 7 months we have been using it. | 2014: |Earlier this week (June 2014) we contacted Mike Totta to get an estimate for refinishing our living room floor, the last space on the first floor that needs refinishing. When he came out to do the estimate we showed him the areas we were concerned about for their previous work and he agreed that it was not the quality of work that he expected from Totta Hardwood Flooring. Without any prompting from us, Mike offered to sand and refinish the areas they did in November at no cost to us when they come to sand & refinish the living room. Mike apologized to us for personally not staying connected to our job in the manner he normally is. There was a new baby welcomed to the Totta home that week in November so we understood why his attention to our job was not as normal. That wasn't his excuse, just an observation by us. | |Our experience with Mike Totta is limited however we feel confident that his expectations for quality work and satisfied customers will result in a much better review when the upcoming work is completed. We don't know if it is possible on Angie's List, but if it is we will add an update to let you know how things work out. Based on Mike's commitment to us we expect excellent results. Kyle and Ethan refinished all the floors in July. They were very prompt and did an excellent job. After they were finished Mike Totta stopped by and looked at the job and decided that that they also needed to refinish the stairs. Another crew refinished the stairs in August and they were prompt and did a good job as well. It is unfortunate that we had to go through this process twice however we were very pleased that Mike Totta saw the poor job that was originally done and without any prompting from us he offered to refinish the floors again at no cost to us. That is what you would expect from a high quality and reputable contractor. We would certainly recommend Totta Hardwood to our friends.

Mike was prompt and courteous when he came out to bid on refinishing our kitchen floor and adding one flight of hardwood stairs (where there is now carpet). I cannot give a review for his work but his price was $2,100 higher than two other bids (same work quoted on each). Because of this, we went with another company.
