It went very well. They were friendly and came earlier than expected. They walked me through everything that they did.

The guy came out on the 11th. He serviced the air conditioner and said he had tightened something up and was not seeing any leak. I called back on the 14th because I had found the leak still leading into my furnace. He came back and blew out the pipe and said that he thought he had fixed the problem. Then the furnace stopped working and I found water inside the unit so we had him come back out. On the 21st they sent out another person who told us there was some sort of bad valve on the furnace which was causing the furnace to stop working. They did fix it but if they had originally fixed the leak, then the furnace probably would have never been an issue.

Time has passed so I am iffy on the date and cost, but not on the work. The repairman sent found a problem that another contractor had missed. I had been told I was just mistaken about there even being a problem previously but Buckner's employee found the problem- a protruding screw in the duct work was preventing the damper from shutting all the way. As a result the heat blowing upstairs was oppressive. Great job - he was fast doing the work and the problem was solved!

We have used them exclusively, ever since we bought this house, we have them under contract to inspect our system in spring and fall. Air conditioning in the spring and heating in the fall. They come twice a year under contract. They charge two hundred dollars a year. They are very prompt and very clean. They wear 'footies' in the house and they stand behind their repair. An example- and I don't know if this means much to you, we had a cleaning and then a week later a sensor failed and they repaired it under emergency service and all we had to pay for was the parts. We had them under contract and the guy who did the inspection did not notice that it needed replacing. So, they were really good about that. They came out on a Saturday afternoon, or a Sunday morning and fixed it. We have stuck with them for fourteen years because we like them so much. They set a time and they are here.

Salesman Steve came out to our home to discuss our needs. He was wonderful. Not pushy, not trying to oversell on things we did not need. He gave us the best fit for our needs, which I really appreciate. Installation went flawless. We love our new unit. We did have an issue with the digital Honeywell thermostat not lighting up correctly, but we called Buckner's and they sent someone right out to replace the thermostat. Wonderful company to work with. Professional, on-time, and responsive. I would recommend them and would use them again.

Buckner's is a fantastic company! I have had exceptional service from them on past projects, and use them for the scheduled maintance. I have most recently had my old gas water heater replaced with a tankless model. Prior to that I had my A/C and furnace replaced, too. EVERY time... professional salesmen, professional workmen, absolutely top notch workmanship. I am VERY secure knowing Buckner's is servicing my heating and cooling appliances. Communication is prompt, and very clear. Appointments are kept on time, and if there is a delay it is communicated effectively. Buckner's is not the cheapest of the bunch, but they are far from the most expensive... And their ONE PRICE quote includes EVERYTHING. No hidden costs or overruns. Just a truly professional outfit I am pleased to be acquainted with.

In March 2012 I was looking to replace my central a/c. I called Buckner's and they arrived at the scheduled time, did a cursory inspection, and provided an estimate for what I wanted in a central a/c unit. Like the other bidders I had, they suggested replacing the coolant line and blower unit in addition to the central a/c and recommended I replace the furnace (model from about 1975) as well. I did not select them as their combination of price and service were not the best of the bids I gathered. I would have had no problem working with them had I accepted their bid.

Came on time and didnt take very long to fix problem.

Steve Blow was the sales person who came to our house. He carefully examined our current unit and discussed our problems and concerns with our current equipment. He presented several options for our consideration. He arranged for a CheckMe certificate from KCPL that qualified us for a rebate from KCPL. He also obatained a rebate for us from Missouri Gas Energy for the new furnace. Mr. Blow was very professional. He was not pushy. On the day of the installation, the workmen were very polite. They finished the job in one day. They cleaned up when they finished. The new unit works great. It is a big improvement over our 18 year old previous equipment. I highly recommend Buckner's Heating and Cooling Co.

I have used Buckner's Heating and Cooling in the past for general/yearly maintenance checks on my furnace and air conditioning unit for several years and have always been happy with their service, knowledge and professionalism. During a routine check on my a/c in late April, the service representative, Caleb, found that my furnace had a cracked heat exchanger. The furnace was approx. 26 yrs old. Even though my a/c unit was replaced in 2004 and worked fine, I was concerned about the coolant, R-22, older a/c with a new coil and furnace, or replacing the a/c unit and having everything up to date and switching to the newer coolant 410 A. After much research and debate, I decided to replace the total system including a new a/c unit and going with the 410 A coolant. Steve Blow, sales manager, came out and gave me a bid on replacing the system with several options. He was very patient and answered all my questions. He was very knowledgeable and professional. Caleb came out and did the Check Me Cool Homes KCPL check on my a/c to see if I was eligible for a $ 650 rebate from KCPL, which I was qualified for. Along with the $ 650 rebate as well as a credit for about $ 300 from the service check, in which the cracked heat exchanger was discovered, I was able to reduce the total cost of the new system to me by approximately $ 950 . I had several bids on putting in a new system, but because of my past relationship with Buckner's Heating and Cooling and my personal knowledge as to their work and professionalism as well as straight A's across the board on Angie's List customer reviews, I went with Buckner's for the job. Jason and MIke were the installers for the furnace and a/c. They were prompt, courteous, hard working, professional, knowledgeable and had the total job completed in about 6 to 7 hours including all cleanup. Actually, Jason and Mike went way beyond my expectations and volunteered to help me get a dryer vent piping hooked up to a new dryer and place the washer and dryer back into their proper place. This was such an unexpected suprise and great courtesy they performed for me. Thank you, Jason and Mike. I did not think one could find this quality of service in this day and age anymore. Again, I can not say enough good things about Buckner's Heating and Cooling. Jason and Mike were just great and I would not hesitate to highly recommend Buckner's for any and all heating and cooling needs. I will certainly call on them for all my heating and a/c needs now and in the future.

My house is older and the furnace was older too so they had to custom make it. I've used them two or three times and I was very well satisfied with him. He came, looked at it and we discussed what the problem was. I had somebody else who I had used for years come out but they didn't seem to be able to find the problem. This guy came out, I told him what was going on and he tried some things. He turned the furnace on and immediately found what it was. I had no idea how much it would really cost because I had never had that problem before but he said they had to make it custom made. They were really good about coming and going. He told me the exact time he would need to get the parts made. They were really good. There's another house I lived in for thirty two years and I used this one furnace company for years. Even when I moved into this house I continued to use them for yearly checkups and seasonal checkups for the furnace. When I was having this problem I called them and they came out twice but they couldn't find anything wrong with it. It was around thanksgiving that I called them the third time and they said they were out of town and to call Buckner's Heating & Cooling Co. I did call them and they came out as well as fixed the problem.

They are top notch, professional, and excellent. We used them since our neighbors referred us and they are just the best!

The evening of 6/29, our air conditioner went out. Naturally, it was one of the hottest days of the year so far. The next morning my wife called Buckner's after reading the reviews on Angie's list. They said they could come out the next day, which was great news to us. She explained to them that she was thankful that they could come out so quickly since I just got home from the hospital after suffering a heart attack. The woman at Buckner's then said she would give us a call if they could work us in sooner. Within the hour, we were called by Buckner's and they said a technician was on the way. Unfortunately, my wife was taking me to a doctors appointment when I got the call. I thanked her for her efforts and she told me to call when I got home. I returned home and gave her a call. Shortly after, I received a call from Dave saying he was on the way. Dave was great and got our air conditioner working. As it turns out, it was the exact same part we had replaced 2 years ago by another company. Buckner charged me $94 for the part. The other company charged $255. In addition, the service call was $24 less with Buckner. I signed up for annual maintenance on the spot. I love finding companies with such wonderful customer service!

They told me that the total bill would be $336.00 for the entire repair. I chose not to go with them for the repair and another company only charged me $135 for the same repair. They were very professional but I wasn't pleased when he said it would be $99 to simply blow the dust out of the machine. Their fees are simply too high. He never volunteered to look into any warranty after I told him that the house was not very old and didn't make any effort to work with me on price.

Great job! The coils on the AC were frozen due to low coolant charge. Aaron showed up on time and quickly had the issue diagnosed and resolved. I have used Buckner Heating and Cooling in the past for other issues and they have always done great work!

Arrived on time to provide estimate, gave a complete description of the work to be completed and estimated time that it could begin. We selected Buckner because we had used them for service of our hvac systems and they were competitively priced with bids from other contractors. They did not try to sell us anything beyond what we needed. They explained several alternatives and were extremely friendly. On the date of scheduled installation, the two service men arrived on time, explained to us what they were going to do, did the work, cleaned up and then explained the new systems to us in detail. They also offered to handle any questions once they left if we failed to remember something.

They did good service. It all turned out well. They were courteous, polite and efficient. They were very responsive to questions. They did what I was expecting. I would use them again in the future.

They showed up on time and they did what they said they would do. I have a bad filter on my furnace and they had to order it special and do the work for me.

Excellent service. Caleb (Buckner service technician) performed an extremely thorough inspection and evaluation. He went above and beyond with a good cleaning on the outside coil. He recommended tools and products (at my request) to allow me to more easily maintain and clean the coil. I asked for replacement recommendations and he set up an appointment for follow-up. Overall service charge was lower than other companies I have used, with better and more thorough service.

The A/C check would have been about $100 and did the contract to save a bit of money for the furnace. The fan motor on the unit was pulling a bit more electricity than it was rated and instead of having me buy a new one, the tech just oiled it and got it back down to around what it should be pulling. Very down to earth, took his time to do the job (didn't act rushed), answered questions I had, etc.

The team that came out were very courteous and professional. They did not make a mess and was careful of not damaging my flower beds while they were hooking up our outside AC unit. They worked quickly and explained what they did and how to use the new thermostat to my husband. And the best part? The bill was $200 cheaper than the quote! We were very impressed with this company and will continue to use them for years to come.

We received three estimates to replace the HVAC unit at our office building. Buckner was able to supply us with a unit that did not require retrofitting on the roof. That saved us over $6,000 compared to the other estimates. It has been energy efficient and we have seen a reduction in energy usage even with a very cold winter. This is the third job they have done for us. They replaced the furnace and air conditioner in our current house and the prior one. They have always done a great job. We always appreciated their professional, courteous service.
