We ordered 2 panel doors throughout our entire house. After the house is built you do a "walk through" and identify things you need fix, changed, etc. You also get a 1 year construction warranty through the builder and he comes out at 1 year and repairs things. We missed the door initially, but I let them know about it on March 16th (2 months after purchasing the home) that we had the wrong front door! We specifically said we wanted 2 panel doors. Tim Mullins & his agent, Kim Hutson told us that the standard front door is the 6-panel steel door unless it's specified to be something else - they failed to mention we had to be that specific with items. When they asked us what doors we wanted and we said 2-panel, we were talking about ALL of the doors. Kim said she discussed with Tim and even checked the "included features". I double checked the included features as well in our book we received from Tim & Kim and it says absolutely nothing about what kind of doors they use as the standard. It was also wrote in our addendum that we wanted the 2-panel archway doors. There was no exception for the front door. We feel as is if this should have & still should be replaced with what was in the addendum. It was wrong to put the 6-panel door on the front when we told them we wanted 2-panel and it's wrong of Tim Mullins not to replace it. His response to Kim was "well I can't return that door". Wow! When I contacted Kim about when to send them the items for our 1 year review, she said "A few weeks before your 1 year send us a list of the things to be addressed. Tim will then review the list and schedule the subs that need to come back". 1/24/14 was our 1 year, I emailed them a list of things to be addressed on 1/6/14. On February 4th is when our shelf in the cabinet fell & we found out that the cabinet was warped. I let Kim Hutson & Tim Mullins know about this on 2/5/14. Tim came to our house on March 5th to look at everything, then on March 14th is when he came out to do the 1 year corrections b/c he was too busy. To me the 1 year review would be done around the 1 year time frame especially when you know it's coming up; not 3 months later. At our 1 year review (provided by the builder) I let them know of our cabinet being warped because of the dishwasher I thought it was getting too hot, causing condensation on/in the insulation on the left side which in turn warped the cabinet. Tim said he'd never seen anything like it before and didn't know what to do. He mentioned putting a piece of metal to separate them, but never followed through with it. I let him know that we didn't just want the cabinet replaced, but for the problem to be fixed so this didn't happen again. I also asked him if this happens again, what should we do and he replied with "let me know if it does". On July 16th I let his agent Kim Hutson & Tim Mullins know that our cabinet was warped & ruined again because of the same thing. His response was that "our 1 year review was expired & to see what the manufacturer could do about it. He checked for leaks and there were none, and he installed the insulation & dishwasher properly". We feel like this was an ongoing issue from the time frame within the 1 year. This wasn't properly fixed the first time and it should be fixed. All that was done the first time was the cabinet being replaced - the issue causing this was not fixed. The communication with the agent Kim Hutson, and Tim Mullins is absolutely horrible. I feel as if it weren't for us following up with them every other week, the 1 year review wouldn't have gotten done, my seed wouldn't have gotten done, my drywall wouldn't have been addressed, nothing. We also told him about a crack in our foundation floor. He looked at it on March 5th and said "It's level so it's not a problem. If you want I could put some concrete caulk on it when I come out to replace the cabinet" I said "OK, that would be good". Well he never did it on March 14th when he did everything else. I followed up (again) with the agent Kim Huston (because we've always had to go through her to contact Tim) to find out what was going on & she told me Tim had said that "the caulk doesn't look good and he looked at the crack and it's not bad, but if we still wanted him to come out & caulk it he would". So he was then giving us the run-around so he didn't have to come back out & fix something again. He originally told us he'd caulk it, so why wouldn't he just do it? I had to follow up with them monthly, bi-weekly, weekly about getting the drywall contractor in the house to fix the 100+ nail pops throughout the house, the seams you could see in the ceilings & walls, and every single corner piece you could see. That contractor was horrible - caulked everything instead of sanding, mudding, sanding, and painting it all and doing it right. Midstate Contractors LLC was the company name in Pevely, MO. They didn't wind up coming out to complete work until June 3rd; 6 months later. I've also had to contact Kim Hutson to get ahold of Tim Mullins to shovel the ice and snow off of our subdivision road. It's in the agreement that he clears the road until so many of the place is developed. He's not very on top of things & that's not what was presented to us at the time of buying this home that was going to happen at all!
Description of Work: Refuse to correct issues that should be corrected by him and not us according to what's happening & the warranty information we were given by them. Doesn't completed/fix issues in a timely manner. Communication is horrible.
