My 15-year-old LA-Z-Boy Recliner finally broke. I wanted to replace it, but could not find a similar color and fabric in their current over-sized in-stock category. They told me I could have it repaired-how surprisingly HONEST of the sales-person to offer that information instead of trying to talk me into a sale! Instead of paying for pick-up service, we transported the chair for repair which was no problem because we had access to a truck. The repair staff was friendly and efficient. They completed the repair in 2 days (ahead of schedule) and they honored their cost estimate. We are happy with the repair and would highly recommend them.
Description of Work: The bottom frame on my 15-year-old LA-Z-Boy Recliner finally broke (after years of heavy use) and we took it to the LA-Z-BOY Gallery for repair.

Unfortunately, the details of the stain protection plan were given to me when the furniture was delivered. The plan had so many exceptions that it is hard for me to determine what would be covered. The protection was a waste of money and time since I spent hours attempting to get my problems solved. It is now 16 months and the fabric on the love seat has split. I called, and was told that my one year warranty was up and if I wanted LaZboy to see if the area could be repaired I would need to pay for a service trip, as well as any labor and materials involved in the repair. I am sharing this story so that other members will be aware of LaZboy Furniture's policies and their micro suede product that tears easily. It was evident in both incidents, from the first answer from the person who answered questions regarding warranties, that their objective was to find a reason not to cover a problem with their product. I do not recommend purchasing any furniture from LaZboy Furniture.
Description of Work: No work has been done and that is the reason I am dissatisfied. On 10/1/05, I purchased a reclining love seat and couch made of micro suede for $2,242.98. I was told that this fabric would not tear as easily as leather and if we purchased the fabric protection for approximately $75 per item the material would be resistant to stains (for any stain that did occur I would be assisted with cleaning and replacement, if necessary).

Layzboy furniture salesman misrepresented the protection plan for the furniture that was purchased. The warranty is written in such a fashion that it can be easily voided and covers very few incidences. It is a scam to give the customer a false sense of security that Lazyboy stands behind their product. I assure you that they do not. The beautiful brochure provided to me by the salesman when I purchased the plan is very simply, misleading.
Description of Work: Purchased sofa and loveseat in microfiber. Salesman strongly recommended purchasing the fabric protection plan which would cover "almost any stain or rip." After reading the warranty that was delivered with the furniture, I realized that the items covered were very limited and that all reports must be made within 5 days of the event. My purchase was made October 5, 2005. The stain protection cost $154.90. On February 2, I called to request assistance with 3 stains that had occurred over the weekend. I was informed that my warranty was no longer valid since I had called in to report "multiple stains." I could not believe that simply reporting 3 small stains voided my entire warranty. I discovered that the warranty states that "multiple stains or damage" is not covered. Two stains reported, an ink pen mark, as well as human hair stains are not covered. Since the kool-aid stain that is covered was reported at the same time; I voided my warranty.
