I bought a discounted AC check from this provider via Angie's list. Setting up an appointment was easy and online. However, due to the heavy rains, recently, he cancelled on the day of our first appointment. I called back a week later and rescheduled. He arrived on time and performed the service as described. He educated me on the process and was very nice. He uses shoe boots to keep the house clean. In general, very professional and nice. I've already committed to using him for some rental properties that we own.

Returned call promptly to schedule appointment. Friendly and courteous. Service call and replacement cost were very fair priced. Would recommend this company. I signed up for service agreement. That is how impressed I was with the service!

Great!! Everything checked out. He did a great job of cleaning the outside unit. Only thing I can suggest is to add a list of the "20 Point" inspection, so I know what all was preformed.

Repairman arrived on time and spent about one hour inspecting, cleaning and charging my AC system. He changed the filter that I provided, was very responsible, and cleaned up after he was finished. He also bypassed a low pressure shut off system. At the end of the day, my AC works and I am happy. As for what caused me to loose so much refrigerant..... Hoping that the issue is minor so I can get a few more years out of the existing system.

Wonderful - our AC unit was cleaned thoroughly, we learned a lot about our heating and AC systems, and our AC unit sits up higher so it won't flood. Will absolutely hire again for all of our heating and AC needs.

It took a little over an hour. He was very efficient and easy to work with and the price was very reasonable. Took pictures to show the issue and would definitely use his services again.

Greg did a multi-point inspection on my A/C system including pressure measurements and coil temperature drops. He cleaned the condensate drain. He did tests on the motors and starting capacitors and washed the fins on the outside condenser coils. He was very professional, punctual, friendly, knowledgeable, clean and thorough. He provided information regarding the status of my system as he was working. He did not try or offer to sell me anything. I highly recommend him, have referred him to others and will use him again.

Greg called me to let me know he finished his last call early to ask if I was available for an earlier appointment. He was waiting for me when I arrived home. He was super professional, very friendly. This is the first home I have owned; I explained that because I had no history on the house or HVAC and that I didn't know when or if the unit had ever been serviced. I told him that I change the filter every 6 months; he advised me to change the filter every 3 months. I also asked that he replace the condensate hose because it was filthy. I left him to service the unit; after a few minutes, he let me know that I was about a lb. low on Freon. He added the Freon, replaced the condensate hose, and inspected and tuned up the unit. He told me it was pretty dirty and appeared it had not been serviced for some time. He advised me of their maintenance packages and answered my questions about when I should schedule a furnace tune-up (late August/September). There was no pressure to purchase the maintenance package. I think he was here an hour; by the time he left, I was FREEZING! This is a good thing! I selected this provider from Angie's List and purchased a deal: $39 for a 20-point A/C Tune-up. Total cost for everything including the deal was $116. I was very, very satisfied with this provider. I felt comfortable with him being in my home and confident about the work he did. I've noticed since he left that my AC cools my home much better at a higher thermostat setting now. This makes me very happy since I hate summer and despise the heat. I will be calling Best Air in August to schedule my furnace tune-up. This company is fabulous. I will NEVER use another provider for my home without Angie's List. I've used about four companies from Angie's List now (not including the ones I've selected to give me estimates), and every single one of them has been OUTSTANDING. I am SO GRATEFUL I joined; there is no way I would have known what companies are trustworthy. Angie's List takes the fear out of caring for my home. I am a customer forever.

Greg called to let us know he was on his way. He explained what he was doing during the inspection. While the initial inside inspection was fine, once he got outside there were some issues with our AC unit (we knew this going in because that it did not work well last year). Greg explained what would need to be fixed and how much each component would cost. It seemed like a fair price to me. In the end he had to clean coils inside the system, replace a compressor, and charge the AC. In total we spent $302. I was thrilled to keep it under $500. Greg was very professional and friendly. The whole inspection and repair took about an hour. He did tell me about the year warranty on the parts he replaced. He also told me about the service plans they offer for heating and cooling systems. I am very pleased with the service and our AC is definitely up and running like it should again. I will definitely use Best Way again for all our heating and cooling needs in the future.

We purchased an Angie's List voucher for a/c check up/tune up. We were called ahead of time to confirm, and the technician arrived on time. There was a problem found, and after discussing the cost, the repair was made during the same visit. This a/c unit is over 30 years old, but he had the parts on his truck!

Our freon was low and he added a pound of freon which was an additional charge but reasonable. The technician was professional and work was performed in a timely manner. I would recommend this company to others.

The owner was thorough, was very nice and professional. He serviced the air conditioner and made me aware of fixes that will probably need to occur on our furnace before the heat is turned on in the fall. He was supposed to get back to me with a quote on this service and never did, but that is the only negative thing I can say at this point. I would recommend Best Air Heating and Cooling to others.

Within the first minute I was buying a 90 dollar part. This always puts me on alert. Not sure if I needed the part or not but I am going to have it tested to see.

According to stickers on my HVAC unit, the last time a professional had checked it out was about 18 years ago (I've been in my condo home for about 2 years). So, although I am generally a pretty handy person, and have had no issues with it, I thought it should be cleaned and checked by a pro anyway after all that time. Also, my condo board, in their ignorance of how things work, thought that a flood caused last summer by a clogged drain in the floor under my utility closet was somehow related to some sort of malfunction of my HVAC (which of course was nonsense -- the issue was that the water that normally condenses and drips out the AC's drain tube had nowhere to go because of the clogged drain; it was the drain, not the HVAC, that was malfunctioning), and they requested to see my HVAC service records (of which I had none) to try to establish some kind of negligence on my part (the rest of that story BTW is that I cabled the drain, and the standing water drained and never came back!), so I thought I'd start building some service records. Also the price was lower than others I had seen for this type of service. Greg cleaned and checked the inside and outside units, listed the results of the tests (current, pressure, and temperature readings), confirmed in writing that my AC was operating properly, and agreed that water coming out of an AC unit is normal, not a malfunction. He did note that the filter needs to be replaced (which I did myself before, and will do again). The only thing not a perfect "A" was that the dates that were suggested when I purchased the deal were unavailable when the contractor messaged me back. This is probably Angie's List's fault, not that of the contractor (who was actually booked solid until about a month after the dates suggested), so I gave the contractor all As. I wish we could rate Angie's List itself on something like that.

Honesty at its best!!! Greg had come to me in winter for Furnace & Heat pump tune up. It was a cold morning and he saw no pressure in one of the two a/cs I have. So we scheduled for spring (weather to warm up). I was being prepared for a leak detection test and then the necessary repairs to fix it. I was dreading it, but I really liked Greg's humbling nature to begin with, so I knew I would not be take for a ride. Ten minutes into the test, he said there is nothing wrong with the refrigerant and it is full.. He said that when he checked in winter, it may be a bad valve, but nothing to worry now. He did NOT charge me anything, and even offered to clean out both A/C units. Greg could have just presumed a dummy leak test and then charged for repairs or service leaks, infact he offered for free a/'c clean out (just because he felt he gave me the wrong info in winter). What a character!!! I would have Greg come out to my house for any HVAC work, anytime! Hire him... you will be glad you did.
