Description of Work: cleaned and scraped basement walls and re-plastered. It was not an easy pricing process. Mike, the owner, could not tell me initially how much it was going to cost or the time it would take. His worker was great - professional and very clean. When the work was complete, there would have been still 6 hours of time to have done other jobs. Called Mike and asked about the additional time. He stated since the out of pocket costs were about $250 and based at $50 an hour - he thought we were even. Didn't care to really argue, but would have preferred the extra time since we are moving - and Mike should have called me to discuss. That is why I marked price and professionalism as a C.

Description of Work: They did some framing and drywall work. They did an awesome job. They do really high quality work. They have really good communication.

Description of Work: We bought the Angie's list coupon. Our general contractor didn't want to consult or have his crew work on our original project. Instead we agreed on the installation of a patio door. Email and phone calls were difficult. From the acquisition of the doors to the start of the project took well over 5 weeks. Apart from the first day, we had no warning of when the crew was going to work. We had to repeatedly contact the general contractor to prompt the crew to complete the work. In the end we ended up asking for a refund for the time we had remaining. This seems to be a communication within Regal. The general contractor we talked to didn't seem to know about the Angie's list coupon and didn't have the flexibility yo accommodate this type of work. Overall, I would not use Regal for a small project like this.

Description of Work: You may wish to eliminate this review as we used them in 2000. Knocked out the back wall of our home and added square footage. Overall, while I am glad we remodeled, I cannot say that I was pleased with the results and we have had to have other professionals come in to fix some issues. As soon as Regal realized they had underestimated the cost of the job based on lumber costs, the work become sloppy and haphazard. We still have crooked walls and there just came a point with arguing to get anything fixed was futile. They had other jobs that the bid was correct on and these jobs received more attention. We did some of the tear down ourselves and were told by Regal, Bob Pierce, to knock down a wall that further investigation prior to knocking the wall down showed this was a load bearing wall. Some of the sub contractors were fabulous, yet the plumber forgot to seal off some pipes, allowing a leak in the basement. I did check references and should have asked to speak to unhappy customers.

Description of Work: Provided an estimate to remodel our kitchen. Very professional, punctual. I felt he was completely factual in telling us what was involved. Provided great suggestions. We obtained three estimates and this company was very seriously considered, but we picked a different contractor. Regal was neck and neck with our final choice. I would consider Regal for any future projects.
