Donovan was very good to work with. We met to discuss what was required and what my preferences were. He made thoughtful suggestions and explained the plan to me which fit with my wishes to keep the yard simple and easy to care for. I already had a retaining wall for my front yard and I wanted something to match. Donavan knew the exact maker of the brick retaining wall and knew that the blocks were discontinued. However, he called around to several local companies and was able to cobble together enough of the discontinued blocks from different sources, which was way above and beyond my expectations. The crew did a great job installing the wall and made it fit well with the existing wall. It wasn't easy since I had many obstacles in the yard for them to work around, but they worked through all the issues and everything looks fantastic! I would highly recommend using King Scapes.

Excellent. The Red team was awesome. Joe and the others were so meticulous, skilled and professional. I appreciated the time spent to explain the steps of the job. All of the guys were helpful to make every detail look just how I wanted it. My front walkway design done by Don is really beautiful. I would hire them again to do a project. Honestly I did not get multiple quotes, no time! So I cannot speak to the price. However, It was more than I planned to spend, so I rated a B.

I was really pleased with the work done by King Scapes. They were great to work with, punctual and kept a tidy job site. I was contacted within a day to set up the initial visit. Their salesperson, Don, was very easy to work with regards to what we wanted and had some suggestions on how to approach it. I was a bit nervous as I didn't have a good visual of what it would look like in the end but, again, we are very pleased. They handled the sod work and addressed my existing concrete curbing - which they had to cut and remove for front loader access (this was known and addressed up front during the quote - no surprises). The curb was reinstalled and looked better than i thought it would. I was looking for a one-stop shop and they came through. I think this was the Red Team - didn't get all of their names but there was four in the crew and they all were polite, friendly and easy to work with. Highly recommended. I'd use this company again without hesitation.

Josh and his team did an excellent job of removing and building the new wall. They were timely. Very professional. Josh had some good ideas for design at the time of installation that worked out well. Good clean-up. Don Kilty was also very good. Helped us with selecting the right block. Estimate was fair. King Scapes did what they said they were going to do, when they said they were going to do it, and it cost what they said it would. Customer satisfaction was ensured before final payment was requested.

I am actually being generous with a C. The company failed to even give an estimate - I do not know if it was "too small of a job" (other parties were around $5-6k), or because the company did not like the idea of competing. Not only that, the call to say "we are not even doing an estimate" came well over a week after the estimator came out to look at the project, where the typical turnaround is 24-48 hours. When the estimator came out, he actually mocked my landscaping/recently built deck. I refuse to ever contact King Scapes again for another job, as professionalism was not a priority, and I am convinced they cannot do anything that does not involve heavy equipment because that was all he could talk about.

It was a pleasure working with Kingscapes on this job to remove an existing deck and gazebo, design and build a new patio and landscape the grassy areas on our backyard. During the planning phase of the project, Don Kilty listened carefully to our ideas regarding the patio design and offered extensive advice, ultimately developing a plan that met all of our expectations. He was quick to provide a quote, and the amount was more reasonable than the other landscapers. ?The job presented some unusual challenges - two large basement window wells consisting of thick concrete needed to be jack hammered and removed ?- that Kingscapes handled with a high degree of professionalism. The on-site project manager, Donnie Nelson, was exceptionally pleasant and communicative and also exhibited extraordinary dedication and attention to detail over the course of the job. ?He personally laid out the layers of the patio and placed each paver himself. ?He and his crew were there everyday, even working late some nights. ?They cleaned up well at the end of each day. ?We would gladly recommend Kingscapes to others for similar work.?

Don Kilty was an excellent consultant and very professional throughout the process. He was very responsive to all of our requests, was creative in preparing plans, and ultimately made sure that the process ran smoothly from start to finish. We are thrilled with the work and are happy to recommend them to friends and neighbors.

The terracing and the stairs are amazing! Don was great from the first estimate to helping us choose materials and design. The estimate we received was the most detailed and thorough so I didn't feel like I was being lowballed and have to worry about cost overruns later. Don was very helpful suggesting materials and possible designs, and also very receptive to our requests. He was also very easy to get in contact with and very quick to respond during the whole process. I was also surprised with how fast we were put on the schedule. It was only a couple of weeks between when we first got a bid and when the The work took about a week and I was very impressed that the crew; the weather was wet for parts of a couple days but the crew worked despite the weather! They kept us up to date on progress and let us know what to expect. The work was top quality and looked as good as the examples in the catalogs when it was complete. I don't think we could've asked for better!

THEY DID A GOOD JOB. WHEN WE REQUESTED FASTER ICE AND SNOW REMOVAL IN AREAS THAT MY HUSBAND (WHO HAD TROUBLE WALKING) USED THEY RESPONDED QUICKLY AND CONTINUED TO DO A GOOD JOB. WE WOULD STILL BE USING THEM HAD WE NOT MOVED INTO A CONDO.

First, when I first talked to the company representative to get my estimate, I asked for 3-6 inches to be taken out of the width of the rock for the front of the house. I was told this was not a problem. I didn?t get it. The area ?landscaped? is exactly what was there before. When they were taking up the existing rock, the team leader asked if they could take the edging around the back of the deck supports to put the entire deck into the landscaped rock. I said yes. He didn?t do it. Shortly after I noticed that they had arrived, I walked out to talk to them and heard the lead worker tell the others to reuse any non-torn fabric under the rocks. So my initial interaction with your work team was to hear that corners would be cut and existing materials could be reused, regardless of the fact that I asked for and am paying for all new materials. I immediately stated that I wanted all new fabric because the existing fabric is over 16 years old (length of time I?ve been in this house) and I wanted the landscaping to last a long time without having new weeds and other problems. The team leader agreed to this and told the group to use all new fabric. Faced with the understanding that corners could potentially get cut, I walked out periodically to see how the work was progressing. I was dismayed to see that the person putting down the new fabric was leaving a one-inch or greater gap between the fabric and the side of the edging and between the fabric and the house. Half of the length of the area around the house had been done this way and I had to explain to him that the fabric was to help prevent weeds but it couldn?t do that if it didn?t cover all of the soil. I immediately asked him to make the fabric the entire length of the space between the house and the edging. He said he would. There is now, however, a HUGE length of area where weeds will be growing and coming out of the rocks in the very near future. What a waste of money to get these rocks relandscaped just to have weeds growing out of them almost immediately! The team drove existing rock away. With the truck gone, they piled rock directly on the street in front of my house. When the new rock was delivered, they again piled rock directly on the street in front of my house. Even with weeks of rain afterwards, there has been a constantly a very large dirty spot in the street in front of my house. Very ugly and irritating for me, but also irritating for my neighbor trying to sell their home! In addition, the rock they put down was extremely dusty and was multicolored in appearance. When I asked about it, I was told that the rock was just dusty and when it rained, the dust would be rained off and the rocks would be the same color. So in addition to open areas of soil under the rock, the landscaping introduced a layer of dust to start the weeding process early. The team left without saying a word, without asking if I'd like to look at it or if I had any questions. I walked around and found a lot of rock in the grass around the house, loose rock on my driveway and loose fabric staples. The rock under my deck still needs leveling and there are areas of plastic showing through the rocks. The new rock is very different from my previous white rock and does not look good with the color of my house siding. I hate it! I?m amazed that a company would take it upon itself to just change the color of landscape rock without consulting with the landowner. I?m shocked at how unprofessional this entire job was done. I?m highly disappointed in the work of this company and the unprofessional work done at my house. It makes me sick that I had to pay for it

I had Kingscapes do a retaining wall along my entire back property line/raised flowerbed as well as create a large patio area around a brick enclosed fire pit they built for me in my back yard. They came when they said they would, the work took as long as they said it would take and they did a marvelous job. Everything they did looks beautiful. They were very professional, they cleaned up my yard incredibly well after the work was done and they even re-planted my flowers and hastas they moved to get the work done. The workers were even friendly with my dogs. They worked on one of the hottest days of the summer and they were very polite and each of them personally thanked me for making them lemonade slushies. I will use them in the future for my front yard landscaping.

For snow removal we use Kingscapes.

We have used King Scapes in the past for softscapes and lawn care and have always been very impressed with their work and professionalism. When we were looking for a great outdoor entertaining area, they were our first phone call, and we are so happy with the results. They really exceeded our expectations from the consult and great ideas for our outdoor living area to the final product. This was the first time they have done hardscaping for us but certainly won?t be the last. We were looking for a great firepit and grilling area at our new home. Their team had a great vision that worked beautifully with our space and budget. They used high quality materials with beautiful pavers to create a new patio?area with firepit, retaining walls, and custom seating. We now have a gorgeous outdoor entertaining area that we couldn?t be happier with. We wouldn?t hesitate to highly recommend King Scapes for any landscaping needs!

Donovan was communicative about the start date and as we approached the actual date they started right on time. Demolition was quick but they still took the time to get it right. Re-building and installation was done well and looks perfect. They communicated any challenges they ran into quickly and provided a pricing impact almost immediately. I arrived home each day was given an update on the progress and was walked through what was to happen the next day. They hit the quoted price almost exactly with additional work needed due to unforeseen issues. The finished product is beautiful and I would not hesitate to use Kingscapes again or recommend them. We were extremely happy with the work provided by King Scapes! The entire process from the initial meeting to the final day of installation was outstanding! We did our due diligence and meet with several potential providers before selecting King Scapes. We found Donovan to be knowledgeable, flexible, and fairly priced. He provided us with options but also used his expertise to guide us to a great solution. He worked with us to keep the project close to our original budget. He also worked with us on the price of some additional items we added to the original scope of work that we both agreed would make a nice overall difference in the project. Donovan provided us with a detailed AND itemized bid (important to me), as well as drawings/renderings of what the project would look like. And, as a final testament to his flexibility (and that of his team), we decided to make one last change in the project right at the start, and they adapted the design without a single issue! And, they did it with a smile! We were also very impressed with his crew. They were on time, professional, and skilled at their job. They consulted with us throughout the process and finished faster than I would have imagined. Bottom line ? not only would I wholeheartedly recommend King Scapes, they will get my call the next time we need work done at our current or next home. I?m also fairly sure that my neighbors will give them a call for their next project based on their reaction to our finished product!

Extremely well , the whole project was completed in 2 days . A 3 Man crew with all the nesesary equipment did a great job . King Scapes sure have one of the best patio building guys with the knowledge and know how in Donny and his team . The owner Donovan Tegg worked closely with his crew on site and it was a absolute pleasure to watch the transformation take place .

It as outstanding. They were done in an hour and a half. They did everything that I asked them to do. I was home and their foreman who was in charge of their crew came up and introduced himself. We went out to the backyard, showed him what work need to be completed. They told me what they would be working on. He checked in while they were working one time and asked me if there's any other work that needed to be done. They charge an hourly rate. I mainly want them to focus on the backyard. They were pretty much done in a little over an hour with the backyard. I asked them to go ahead and complete the backyard and they did. Then they were out of here. He came out and gave me an estimate a month ago. There was still snow on the ground.

The owner is one of the few companies that I have contacted that answered my call and responded immediately. He came out to look at the area within a few days and listened to my concerns. He made the suggestion to call the City to verify what was required. Because of that suggestion, I discovered another city regulation that applied and we were not able to create the parking pad. We were not able to use the services of King Scapes, but I was impressed at meeting Don Tegg and his responsiveness and honesty concerning our situation.

They followed up and kept in touch prior to starting the work and they kept their promise about scheduling. They were very easy to get along with and there was no trauma about it at all. The cost actually came under what he said it was going to cost. The job took about a day and a half and Jonathan, when I called him back in June, came out and looked at it and said he does not come out this far and then he said we will have to charge extra for coming out this far. I agreed to that, but they never charged extra for coming out to my property.

I appreciated the fact they were honest and said they were too busy to do my job.
